  1. If you have a chance, look for the Showtime 112 vids on YouTube. Most especially those on the Falklands war. While he's using DCS, there are some very good cockpit shots from inside the Scooters. The gunsite is substantianly larger that what we get. They're also very well done!
  2. Work on the Iberian Penninsula/NW Africa map rebuild from OP Pelayo is taking much longer than expected/anticipated. Due to recent events my motivational index has dropped into single digit territory. It's also a bit difficult to find 'what goes where' with respect to the various industires in Portugal, Spain, Morocco and Algeria. OTH, all the airports have been redone with deep details. All runways have been repaved and repainted (you can actually SEE the lines now!!) Rest assured I'll get back to it sometime as soon as the shitstorm passes. The Indian Air Force Fitter A's should be out next week
  3. View File SF2 CAC CA-27 Avon Sabre: AURI & TNIAU Skin Pack SF2 CAC CA-27 Avon Sabre: AURI & TNIAU Skin Pack 1/2/2025 -For SF2, Any and All (Full Merged Recommended) This package contains 3 new skins/decals sets for the CAC CA-27 "Avon Sabre". After an almost 12 year delay, I'm finally completing a promise made in 2012. These skins are to be used on Zur's RAAF Sabre (version 2) found at the following URL: https://combatace.com/files/file/11593-raaf-cac-sabre-mk32-version-2/ If you don't have it, now's a good time to get it!!! <gr> This package adds the Indonesian Air Force and two (2) Malaysian Air Force skins. Textures are in jpg format, and all markings are decals. All serial numbers are 100% historically accurate for both countries. Decal randomization is TRUE for both. Also included are tweeked decal inis for the two RAAF skins, activating their displayed Squardron Name via my (patent pending) fake "SqTail" decal. The SF2 date switch is active for the RMAF skins; you'll start with the NMF and in approx 1974, will switch to the OD camo skin. On the Skin Selection drop down you'll see them listed as: No.14 SKU,TNI-AU (<73) No.11 Sqdn, RMAF (<68) No.11 Sqdn, RMAF Camo (<74) New(ish) Data, loadout and userlists inis are also included, due to some small changes I'd made in all of them. As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. The Change Log List is also in the Notes section. 5. You must have missed the announcement: downloads are subscription only. And your request is in violation of the new download policy. Sorry, but unfortunately, that's how it is
  6. don't forget to change the weight limit, too, as Sparrows are much heavier then Sidewinders
  7. All I can say is "WOW". My knees go weak just thinking about all those collectable (and some of those guns I'd love to have in a collection -- note to self: start collection)
  8. 1:72 WWII fighter model kit collection

I LIKE that Ho-229!!! Nice work!
  9. maybe check the actual numbering of the decals? (tail001, tail009, etc) had that happen to me, when I somehow managed to skip numbers and threw the whole thing off. just an idea
  10. Heal up my friend; everything else is just unimportant. Health FIRST!!!
  11. I can't stop laughing .... Somebody else has to take over and explain the way of the 3w world ...
  12. Outbound, with mayhem in mind
  13. Is Stonehenge aligned properly, so the solstice sun rises over the correct stones??? (I'll show myself out now ....) also, we have the Pink Floyd Pig Balloon, too (have to look and see which terrain I put it on. I mean, if you're adding Easter Eggs)
  14. or have the 3W Max file to fiddle with the animations for the glove vanes (that's what they're called)
  15. View File SF2 CAC CA-28 Sabre "What If" Skin & Ini Tweeks Pack SF2 CAC CA-28 Sabre "What If" Skin & Ini Tweeks Pack 12/14/2024 -For SF2, Any and All (Full Merged Recommended) Herein you'll find 2 new skins for Yakarov's CA-28 'Sabre Dingo' What If aircraft. If you don't already have it, you can find the aircrft at the following URL: https://combatace.com/files/file/18369-what-if-raaf-ca-28-sabre-dingo/ Historically, the Real World (tm) CA-27 Sabres were exported to the Indonesia Air Force (TNIAU) and the Royal Malasian Air Force (AURI). Following that logic, this is what this package does. On the skin selection menu, on the Loadout Page, you'll see: No.14 Sqdn TNIAU Royal Malaysian Air Force (unlike the CA-27 "Avon" Sabre, the RMAF units here are NOT repainted from NMF to OD camo. Both aircraft remain in Natural Metal Finish. No squadron was assigned for the RMAF aircraft) The SF2 'date switch' is active, even though these skins have a 1978 (Indonesia) and 1968 (RMAF) start dates. These are also defined in the new userlist ini. The skins are in jpg format, all markings are decals. Decal Randomization is "TRUE". Both aircraft's serial number presentation follows historic Real World (tm) style. TNIAU gets 16 aircraft, and RMAF gets only 8. The number sequence is extrapolated from the existing Real World (tm) serials. Several other small changes have been made to various other items, and they're listed in the Change Log. As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. The Change Log List is also in the Notes section. 17. It is, unfortunately, you must worship at the alter of DAT
  18. I know, ain't is crazy!!!??!!! The APS-20 is the huge belly radome, as used on the TBM-3E, Skyraider AEW (and some Q models), EC-121, PB-1W and other I can't think of. Totally agree on the H & J SPADs. If your cockpit used has the scope, I suggest using this (bleow) for the screen. Some people, especially those of that grew up in the 1960s, will get the joke. Obvioulsy, it'll need renaming as I used in in the U-2 with the F-104 pit F104RADAR.bmp
  19. Our last posts got me thinking .... so I did more research, and hunting for info, book/manuals etc. Oddly, the A-1H maintaince manual DOES show attachment points, wiring, and stuff for the radar pod (APS-19C), and the scope in its usual position in the cockpit. Strange, because I know the Nam era ones never carried the pod, and most had the scope removed. (I can post that book if you want) I did stumble over the APS-6 manual. It seem more particular to the F6F-5N Hellcat, but the data on the scope may be helpfull (although I dislike the orange display screen). It's attache, and hopefully of some help APS-6PilotsManual.7z
  20. just to let you know, the AD-6 & 7 don't have radars. (check Dels cockpit -- which I worked with him on) AD-1,2,3,4 (some) use the APS-6 external mount. Most of them (on the late model -4) had the scope removed, and the plated over. The 4N & NL are rather specific, and somewhat short lived uses. Most converted back to standard (and radarless) by the late 50s/early 60s
  21. Um.... how come the screen shot is a Tomahawk??? Just saying ....
  22. i'm sure the TOD buildings are 'stuck' in that cursed 63% scale that the maps are
  23. there are a few high rises, but they're 'objects', placed via the target ini. Not very convienent to use (frame rates?), as there's only 5 or 6 different ones *** All the other building are 'built into' each tile, just like the trees and bushes They do effect frame rates. And honestly, they're not really necessary. Unless we're building Manhattan Island... *** check the Persian Gulf terrain by yours truely, modded from the original.
  24. Seriously, WHY is the airplane so nicely done!!!! ????
