Add Bits to cockpit
Wrench replied to PeacePuma's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I don't think that's possible, unless you have the MAX files. Adding something like a picture (girlfriend type) was done in 1stGen. But what you describe, I highly doubt it. don't forget, cockpits are a seperat model from the aircraft, and the 2 really don't meet- 5 replies

wasn't the F-5F what (almost) became the F-20 Tigershark? -
Questions about SF2 Vietnam
Wrench replied to bearnoceros's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
yes, the cockpits all have the limited view; like in Real Live (tm) you can only turn you head so far -

Wrench replied to JosefK's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion

Wrench replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
yes it does. i've used it several times, on the Iran/Iraq map, iraq, the IsraelME upgrade and a few others. (below, Dimona reactor/research center) if this is the one you mean, of course! -

How to add carriers to single missions?
Wrench replied to Chugster's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Not to be forgetting that the terrain itself needs to be modified for CVBGs. None of the original 4 (Desert, Europe, VN and Isreal) are set up for it. -

unfortunately, I can only hide or delete them. Can't move single posts. ============ I'm thinking this situation (BoB terrain) is almost opposite f the 69 movie! Here, in game, we're only missing the He-111H series; having all the other LW bomber. In the move, the 111s are ALL they had!! sorry for the hijack, Gepard. -
Where do extracted files go in SF2?
Wrench replied to alexis99's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
you'll find that the folder structure in the mods folder is (pretty much) identical to what you're used to in SF/Wo*. With the exception of NOT having certain folder already there. As you've discovered. But, as you've also discovered, that's a pretty simple fix! <gr> -
Looking for hi res, large versions of these old phantom pics
Wrench replied to Chugster's topic in Digital Recon
top one .. no IRST below the nose, possible a USN J model or if USAF, C/D maybe (unless it's an RAF or FAA version) -

Don't forget the knowledge base -- look for the post "what is the mods folder" or words to that effect -

good, cause I'm not going to bother Veltro to make another tank/pylon. On this version, the pylon will remain on the wing !! -

don't know ... not enough data on the net, and I can't find the Famous Airplane of the World on the T-1. Pretty sure it's a different design. -

Wrench replied to jack33's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
you can't swap between them. Scales are different, locations are different, and everything else is different. Search the terrain downloads, i did some target area upgrading on the original 3w terrain some years ago. The Old Fashioned Way (tm) -
Re-installed and controls are squiffy?
Wrench replied to Chugster's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Did you delete the original default.ini, start the game and let it build a new one? THEN try and remap from in-game? or... did you try setting the default ini manually? via a text editor? It just opens in Notepad THEN.. make it read only. and then just copy/paste in back into the /Controls folder. and now you have a backup many of us have experienced the 'what the fuck auto remapping of keys'. it's some glitch that seems (imo) associated with SF2NA, but I'm not sure. (sort of like the wind-up toy sounds in NA) Since I have multiple installs, and "known good" default inis, I just swap them between the various mods folders
