  1. Avro Shackleton Mk.2 AEW = repacked =

All the decals were built by ME -- on the one fuselage roundel with the band is Spinners
  2. just a time tense question .. shouldn't be "post war"???
  3. somebody refresh my (failing) memory ... the amount of fuel in the tanks is measured in kg, or liters, or ??? Got 5 fuel tanks to correct.... thanks!!!
  4. excepting that i'm still on Winge7
  5. well, these are all internals gallons, moving aft 377 189 223 and two 44 gal wing tanks doing the online conversion thingy ... this is what I got
  6. you'd think that after all these years, i'd know (ie: remember) this stuff .... i think the heat here is frying my brain (set a new record high temp here in LA yesterday -- 121 F!!!
  7. none that i'm aware of. they are, with just a couple of differences, mapped (almost) exactly the same as the mk.9. Iirc, the differences are the rocker arm cover bulges on map _1. they're at the very top/left. on the 9, that's just a blank area edit: vert fin and rudder are on a seperate map, but you probably knew that
  8. tree-wise, I think the best way around that would be a terrain object LOD, something like how TK does it on the IcelandNA map. You could make "clumps" or groves, or even a row of them. Be a bit easier to place then trying to do it via TODs in the Terrain Editor.
  9. not to detract from the work, but just a bit late...
  10. Painting the Skyshark ain't nothing -- it's overall Dark Gloss Navy Blue. I've had the "Naval Fighters" book on it for some time. Don't forget about the radar ARe you sure it's ready, model wise? I see a lot of unmapped sections in that Lod Viewer image
  11. in any case, some very nice footage of the Flankers
  12. I know you're gonna fix the wheels!! . Russ, you REALLY are a machine!!! Are there other skins for this model, and will they be usable (I'm noting the FAA Martlet we're seeing now) Also, if possible, can I request the outboard gun barrels be seperate meshes, so the 'remove mesh trick' can be used to create the -3 Wildcat (4 guns)
  13. stock ones!!!! can it get any weirder?? Like Spinners, I've also encountered Commie (PRC & NK) Vampires and Meteors on the KAW map. I simply deleted the Vampires, and edited the Metor's data ini (non-exported in a Era/Theater specific mods folder) And then there's these, the Spit's below
  14. In the instructions on creating an Era Specific Install (either in the SF2 Knowledge Base or the PropHeads Fourm), I found the cure is to leave 1 (count them -one-) Player Flyable (tm) modern aircraft, like a Skyhawk, and 1 (count them -one-) AI controled MIG, I usually use the 21MF as I like that one. Have 4 different WW2 installs, and they've never repopulated with unwanted crap. As the stock ground objects won't appear due to their dates, you can leave them alone, for the most part
  15. don't forget the Hunters... had some rather disconcerting encounters with North Korean Hunters over Yalu ....
  16. for navy skins, the Mytai ones are among, if not, the best. Almost all of his originals have been converted from the SF1 series to the SF2 series. === is it shameless plug time again????? anything with my name on it!! and welcome to CombatAce!!!
  17. AND.. all my decal from Pasko's can be salvaged and reused!! thanks Russ!!
  18. approved and ready for downloading! Great work guys!!!
  19. View File SF2 Lockheed RC-121D Pack by RussoUK SF2 Lockheed RC-121D Pack by RussoUK 8/20/2020 -For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended) "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods" This package contains a new aircraft, the Lockheed RC-121D Warning Star Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft as used by the US Air Force. This aircraft comes complete with everything needed, and has skins that represent the following units, as is my habit one East Coast and one West Coast based units: 960th AEW&C Sqdn, 551st AEW&CW, Otis AFB, MA 963rd AEW&C Sqdn, 552nd AEW&CW, McClellan AFB, CA The aircraft is presented in two finishes; overall NMF for the 963rd, and NMF with Arctic Red (orange?) wing, nose and tail sections. Both aircraft share a pool of 26 serial number decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. I was unable to run down individual serials for the units, so these should be considered 'generic' in nature, although they ARE correct for this aircraft. When in game, on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown menu, you'll see: RC-121D Warning Star (R) Hopefully, will diferentiate it from any other RC-121s that you may (or may not) have, or be available. The "R" stands for RussoUK, the model maker. As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Also, the credits list all the original FSX model & skin creators. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein Submitter Wrench Submitted 08/26/2020 Category Other
