  9. No takeoffs or landings, but I've seen that to start the engine in the air one has do dive and make the airflow spin the prop. And you'd better have plenty of altitude for that. The version nqb had on display had very basic controls but the blip-switch was there on the rotary N.28. They've decided to make game both noob- and hardcore-simmer-friendly. The first will get the HUD and easy flight model, the latter wil have their stalls and stress damage and blip-switch (with gradual cylinder blipping) and mixture management. Interesting that ground objects have people in them and those people have bones for animation so technically animating drives and gunners is posssble. So is wing-warping but they're not sure about that - taking it ino calucations is easily dou, but making it visible is a CPU killer (the game already seems quite demanding there).   12. If you're using standard DX setup that downloads data as it goes, download 'redistributable' setup that runs entirely from hard drive
  13. Либо в gundata ini уменьшать массу снарядов это пушки, либо в data.ini самолетов в разделы компонентов корпуса (крылья, нос, фюзеляж) в конце каждого раздела поставить StructuralFactor= и число больше 1. 2, например, удвоит прочность детали.

  15. I touched it At Igromir Expo here in Moscow. Damage model - awesome. No only the surfaces break and bend as they take stress, they also become weaker with each hit. They lifted and dropped SPAD on the ground from 2-3 meters - struts broke and wings nearly folded downwards. Then they lifted the plane about 50m high and as it fell the broken wings started to flap and were torn off by air and slowly fell on the ground next to the fuselage. Flak is scary - not only the explosion but the blast wave. Nearby explosions shake the aircraft - one under my tail literally threw the tail upwards. I wonder what the combined effect of such shakes and structure fatique will be. Ground looks fine. Grass appears if you get really low. Tanks are shiny but ugly as the should and trains leave both white trail of steam and sooty trail of smoke. Stalls are really scary. I managed to fly more or less well on SPAD but N.28 is just to much. And exiting stall is not "kill throttle, stick froward, stop spin with rudder" - it's more the question of tying to swing the plane with both stick and rudder to make it stop spinning and face downwards. And after I switched on my rotary right after exiting one stall the engine rotation kicked me into another one

  21. Hind for Win95 works fine under XP for me.
  22. Вышла еще одна серия октябрьских патчей (на этот разд для всех игр серии). Фиксится какой-то глюк с отрисовкой деревьев, на HUD высшей сложности вернули опознание цели, на карте теперь отображаются не звенья, а самолеты.
