Is WOFF strictly solo flying?
UK_Widowmaker replied to Hauksbee's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I doubt it will ever happen, though I may be wrong -
I've just lost interest in the forums now..since SimHQ. Facebook is my place these days

A five-year-old girl has written to a department store to apologise for accidentally breaking a Christmas tree bauble, and enclosed two pound coins to cover the damage. http://bbc.in/1cdcAPx The John Lewis store in Cambridge spent several days trying to track down the girl - who had signed the letter only with her first name, Faith - before media reports prompted her mother to get in touch. The shop manager said a present was now being sent to the girl.

Absolutely chaps!... ROF scores on MP too (but I don't play MP)...so not a score really. I'm genuinely Gutted when I lose a wingman..and almost suicidal when I lose a Pilot...so much so..I can no longer name any of my pilots as myself, or friends..or family...sad, but true!

It sounds like a Bloody Dog's Kennel doesnt it? But I feel about the various sims, such: I've always been a big fan of OFF (and I will no doubt continue with WOFF)...RoF is cool...very nice looking..DM second to none...but it doesn't have the 'feel' of WW1 to me...it feels like a very pretty, modern Simulator...But, when I create a Pilot..I might as well be creating a sprite. I feel no affinity to him...whereas OFF (and I can only liken it to B17 the Mighty Eighth)...you really feel like the person...it's unique. And it's what brings me back to it time after time. fair Assumption??

UK_Widowmaker replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
It might be fine Olham (just untested) But these days, everyone really should be using 64bit (In my Humble opinion) -
Looking Good... Seems like you will probably need Windows 7 64 as or Windows 8 64...no support for XP/Vista or 32bit http://www.overflandersfields.com

In the greatest days of the British Empire, a new commanding officer was sent to a jungle outpost to relieve the retiring colonel. After welcoming his replacement and showing the courtesies (gin and tonic, cucumber sandwiches) that protocol decrees, the retiring colonel said, "You must meet Captain Smithers, my right-hand man, he's really the strength of this office. His talent is simply boundless." Smithers was summoned and introduced to the new CO, who was surprised to meet a toothless, hairless, scabbed and pockmarked specimen of humanity, a particularly unattractive man less than three foot tall. "Smithers, old man, tell your new CO about yourself." "Well, sir, I graduated with honours from Sandhurst, joined the regiment and won the Military Cross and Bar after three expeditions behind enemy lines. I've represented Great Britain in equestrian events and won a Silver Medal in the middleweight division of the Olympics. I have researched the history of..." Here the colonel interrupted, "Yes, yes, never mind that Smithers, the CO can find all that in your file. Tell him about the day you told the witch doctor to get f....d."

Spitfire vs Messerschmidt - The Cockpits
UK_Widowmaker replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Give me a Spit any day! (No disrespect for German Engineering "vorst sprung dirk technic" as the BMW ads say... But the Spitfire is an Icon) -
Cinemaware is bringing Wings back.

Yes, I tried the demo..and I liked it...had the exact same problem as Dej...they need to sort that out!!..But I enjoyed it apart from that -
Was watching a Documentary last night, about 'The Biggest Mistakes of World War two'...yet, it failed to mention, probably the Biggest one of all. The Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbour!... Metaphorically, that's like going up to the Biggest Kid at School, kicking him in the Nuts...then wondering why you and your Nazi mates get seven shades of Shit kicked outta you!

Female RAF recruits paid compensation for marching injuries
UK_Widowmaker replied to MigBuster's topic in The Pub
Unfortunately, The Armed Forces (certainly in the UK) come under the same system of 'Health and Safety' as any other employer. So, if you're injured at work, and it's not your fault...they'll be a fat bastard Lawyer just a phone call away! -
Two crocodiles were sitting at the side of Thames in London . The smaller one turned to the bigger one and said, 'I can't understand how you can be so much bigger than me. We're the same age, we were the same size as kids... I just don't get it.' 'Well,' said the big Croc, 'what have you been eating?' 'Politicians, same ...as you,' replied the small Croc. 'Hmm. Well, where do you catch them?' 'Down the other side of the Thames near the parking lot by Parliament House.' 'Same here. Hmm... how do you catch them?' 'Well, I crawl up under one of their Lexus cars and wait for one to unlock the car door. Then I jump out, grab them by the leg, shake the shit out of them, and eat 'em!' 'Ah!' says the big Crocodile, 'I think I see your problem. You're not getting any real nourishment. See, by the time you finish shaking the shit out of a politician, there's nothing left but an arsehole and a briefcase.'

Sorry Lou...it's on a 'need to know' basis! On a serious note, I don't have much more than he told me..but there was a whole department at the War Office who worked on Gizmo's and escape kits. The Monopoly one, is just one of many weird and wonderful things they came up with. My Dad worked alongside some of these inventors, before they decided to get shot of him into Nazi Occupied France :)
