A Humble Request to All Modders
Dave replied to eburger68's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Knowledge Base
Eric If you cannot find a author of a mod just put this line in it. There are mods in the package that I do not know who the creator is. So if I missed anyone it was unintentional. Then you are now covered. If they give you shit let me know. Just to pick on you too Eric, when you give me credit it's USAFMTL. You have my last letters wrong. -
Man this season is bad already.. Glad youre safe.

CatPack - Archiving utility for Third-Wire CAT format, GB 27-12-2009. V1.12, Freeware, Use at your own risk, files limit is set at 8000. Packs all files in current folder to CatPack.cat except CatPack.exe/CatPack.cat. Unpacks any cat file you drop on the icon to a folder with the archive's name. You can press Ctrl+Break to interrupt and close the program, but it will leave files unfinished when doing so. UPDATE: CatPack V1.1 will extract contents of the new Strike Fighters 2 Cat archives. The Display will tell the Cat version to be 2, instead of 1. Subfolder information contained in version 2 archives will be restored properly. The unicode filenames in the version 2 archives are converted back to ASCII, therefor actual unicode-only characters in filenames will not be restored. Catpack does not yet support creating a version 2 Cat archive. Maybe later. CatPack V1.11 works properly when Cat files are in folders that have their 'archive' flag set. This seems to be the case with the SF2 objects folder. CatPack V1.12 has some additional features when extracting a Cat archive: First it automatically creates an index file of the Cat file. Second and it allows one to optionally pass a wildcard string, only files matching this wildcard string will be extracted from the archive. For example "mig" will only extract files that have "mig" in their name or extension. Credits: Gerwin - Author Kreelin and Paolo - Beta testing of V1.1. The Harrier GR7 is a license-built American-designed AV-8B Harrier II fitted with RAF-specific navigation and defensive systems as well as other changes including additional underwing pylons for Sidewinder missiles. The improved design of the GR7 allows the aircraft to carry twice the load of a GR3 over the same distance or the same load twice the distance. First flight of the Harrier GR7 was in 1989, and deliveries to RAF squadrons began in 1990. A total of 96 aircraft were ordered, including 62 interim GR5s which were later modified to GR7 standard. Detailed "readme" file included. The TIALD pod included in this pack is meant to be used only with this plane. Just as a reminder, maximum VERTICAL take-off and landIng weight is 18,950 lbs. If you try to take off vertically with a full load of weapons and fuel, the plane will simply not get airborne and, if you try to land, you'll fall like a brick. Best vertical landings are performed with a 25% fuel load or less, just experiment to find the right compromise. some tests regarding aircraft drawing distances
Dave replied to mue's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Because of the draw distance issues I use a modified huddata.ini that uses a dot instead of a square. Setting your visual targeting in the settings to NORMAL with the modified huddata.ini strikes a good balance of what I need to correct these issues. I attached my huddate.ini from my flight folder in case you wish to try it mue. So to piggyback on what Fubar said, we have been messing with this for years and never got something definitive. -
