  1. Now the 633 is out I'll do a French and a Romanian skin for it. Active service in the Battle of France was quite short (two sorties) but the 633 was used by the Romanians until at least Stalingrad. With the ground work completed there will probably be a few 630/631 skins to follow. France, Yugoslavia and Switzerland. If someone wants to take on a small project and make a photo recon cupola that can be attached over the bomb bay area. This could be used to turn a 633 into a 637. Lloyd

  5. A while ago I started skinning Veltro's Potez-630 C3 as the bomber variant - the Potez-633 B2. The first skin will be for the Royal Hellenic Air Force, but others will follow. So far the changes include removing the navigator, altering the loadout and squeezing 8 50-kg bombs into the bomb-bay, and changing the armament to 7.5mm machine-guns. I have still to work out how to fake a partially glazed nose and cover some mapping issues. As I understand it, if an area of a model has not been mapped for the skin then you can't put a tga file over the area. Is that correct? Does anyone know how many 7.5mm rounds were carried for the forward facing and rear facing guns?

The Blackburn Ripon was a pre-war carrier-borne torpedo-bomber and reconaissance aircraft, a development of the Swift, Dart and Velos family. The Ripon was a conventional biplane which was first flown in 1928. In total 123 were built and there were in addition 25 Blackburn Ripon II F: a Finnish assembled Ripon. Based on 1 production Ripon acquired from Great Britain in 1928, 25 were subsequently assembled in Finland under licence in 1931-34. The Finns used a number of different engines with the Ripon in service until 1944. The only preserved Blackburn Ripon (RI-140), has an Armstrong-Siddely Panther radial engine. It is stored in Päijänne Tavastia Aviation Museum in Asikkala, Finland Performance * Maximum speed: 179 km/h * Range: 660 km * Service ceiling: 3,050 m * climb to 6,500 ft: 15 min 30 sec Armament * Guns: 1 × fixed, forward firing .303 in (7.7 mm) Vickers machine gun and 1 × .303 in (7.7 mm) Lewis gun in rear cockpit. * Bombs: Either 1 × 18 in (457 mm) torpedo or up to 3 ×240 kg or 6 × 104 kg bombs.   11. Well that was the problem. Added it to a fully patched version and it works fine.
  12. Ken Are you fully patched? I'm only patched up to 06 as per Wrench's instructions for prop planes. Maybe that's it. Lloyd
  13. Fixed the Lod issue, but every time it the aircraft loads, the game crashes. I can't work out what exactly the problem is.

  15. Invisible gear would be fine. How are you going to model the bomb-racks? It would be nice if it was animated so that opening the bomb-bay doors saw the side hatches open and the racks extended.

  17. Nice one knug Have a look at my Belgian skin. You'll see that the texture on the rudder is carried through to the numbers. If you want to do the same, I've included an extra file call "layered" in the D folder. It has an extra layer with the rudder panel lines and shading as a separate layer. It will mean a second set of numbers for the cowling, but that's easy to do. Lloyd
