F-15 Strike Eagles Over Saudi Arabia: Then And Now
TeargasHorse replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
"As for its large visual signature, real fighter pilots aren’t afraid of being seen: We kill you as we spit in your face" (The War Zone, 2016). Take that, Boelcke! -

I second this request as I have a multitude of cargo and paratroopers in my weapons folders, but have not been able to use them. -

I highly recommend Stary's Sarcasm Environments.. http://combatace.com/files/file/14272-sarcasm-v-15/ The clouds and environments are outstanding! -
Tragic. Prayers to the team, family and friends.

As a confirmed desktop pilot (I have flown a RW Cessna 150), articles like this are freaking awesome, and I thank you. When prompted why I know details of aircraft, I often get asked why I did not join a "force," I have always said "simulations, video games," and I've never had a problem with giving that answer. More info is more, so articles, and ultimately, this link can bring my, "are you CIA?" status up a bit (I always deny and say, "no, I'm a gamer!"). Thank you so much, now I know what to look for in the SF2 worlds! TGH

Great pack! I ran a interdiction mission with the F-15E and got jumped by 2 Mirages. Made a hard left at 430 Kts, the nose went down....and down...and down... into the side of a hill. The plane would not pull out. I re-flew it again and the elevator oscillations drove me into the ground again. The plane looked great though!

I am having a problem with the cockpit, it shows from above and behind. When looking around, everything seems in the right place, wings, and seat, but looking forward is broken. The files reference P84_cockpit.ini. I tried changing it to F84, and F-84, and even tried changing to F-84E_cockpit by swapping it out (the plane wouldn't show up in the A/C list). The other F-84s (E & G) work fine though. Copied the cockpit folder from F-84E into the plane folder, that did the trick. Also had to edit the engine sound in the .ini to have engines.

OH NO, the moral dilemma! When is a good time to launch a Hellfire or Mavrick without the risk of collateral damage?? Why not arm the bug drone with a poison dart, now that's espionage!!

Death = Campaign End/Refly?
TeargasHorse replied to nstutt's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
There was another game that let you switch, I think 1942: The Pacific Air War where you could take over any plane during the mission. Unfortunately SF has Dead, or Re-fly only. I use a die to decide, even= re-fly, odd=screw the pooch. The one thing about creating new pilots, though, is that you are always the lead, never a sub, like in IL-2. If you're re-flying a mission over and over and dying everytime, you aren't learning from your mistakes; change the route, or add SEAD/Escorts to your group, loiter at a way point and let them take the heat, then dash in, hit the target and get out, or take a fail and move to the next mission, your job is to survive. Good luck! -
