That has some very serious mission building implications! I used to play a game called Strike Fighters by Sierra, that had missions avoiding air and ground to land, pick up/ drop off, and then proceed to home base. You, sir, on on the track! -

Looks real to me. The driver's reaction is to strong to be fake. I think if a heli was about to be in your face, you'd be running and screaming too. Top Gear has never been a show to fake that type of event for "entertainment".

What Whiteknight said. I think waiting for a more complete, although larger, release in the long run would be more better than patches later is the better option. -
Guess who's calling in "sick" tonight! Thanks Skyviper!

TeargasHorse posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
SF2 combined, and modded. Of all the aircraft I have tediously downloaded and flown, so far my favorite all around plane is the F-4D. I have no reason why this is, but whenever I use it I do well, and my squad does as too. I originally got the game for my 2 favorite (so I thought) planes, the F-100 and F-104, which I thought was going to be the focus of what was then (SF1), knowing that the F-4s would be the A list, but still awesome they would be. I find myself being massacred in Sabres unless I'm striking without mass air cover, and out manouvered in F-104s even with missles (AIM-9Bs, like throwin spears at roadrunners). Anyway, F-4Ds, not the best Phantoms, but they seem to like me, how's by you? -

Hay Dave, Eagles do make one feel quite invincible, eh? Jug, holy cow man, that there's the enthusiasim! Ikon, you're a cold, cold (sierra hotel), brother. Centurion-1, my other weakness is blue on planes, man that grey-blue skin is far-out! I have not had much luck in the Mirage jets at all; after reading some of y'alls post, I decided to work it out a bit. to tell the truth, I haven't really tried them since gen1, so I gave it a go. Not my forte, but I am willing to learn :) -

I have a few terrains within SF2, in which the sky is either grey, blue or kinda like foggy when played. When I am nose down, the sky is grey; nose up and the sky flips to blue, always at the horizon line. Clouds do not exist except for the odd time that the sky is grey all the time, like low clouds with fog that I am able to climb through to blue skies, like in the SF1 series. Maybe these are 1st gen series maps that aren't taking advantage of our new fangled effects? Any help will be appreciated. -

Wow, what luck does the front driver have to be hit with a wheel! It's a good thing that there were no passengers, the police car ran over some seats that would've had people in them. I've seen many videos from the police cars in Russia, they see some crazy stuff!

Replacing stock callsigns
TeargasHorse replied to tiopilotos's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I'm not finding the Nations.ini in the FlightData.cat, but found the one in MODs folder. I created a notepad TGH.lst and edited the MODs Nations.ini replacing all Callsigns.us with TGH.ini. It didn't work. The game still gave me a random (Bison) callsign. -

Hope y'all had a great day!

Replacing stock callsigns
TeargasHorse replied to tiopilotos's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Is there a way to get a static callsign, one that is assigned to my flight ALWAYS instead of randomly assigned? If so, then I can create my own callsign, speech and subtitle set for my flight so I instantly know when they're talking to me. -

The only odd thing I see is the floating rearview mirror. -
I have multiple installs of the series. I got this and added it into my folders and went riding around. "What's the big deal," I'm thinking. Well I decide to take a look at my folders, and all looks good, so I restart the game, "WTF!?!". Aparently I didn't put it in the install I thought I did, man, how freaking cool! So I take on 20 MiG's with 8 F-4Ds and man, we got 18 with 1 loss and it was AWESOME (he got rescued BTW, thanks for asking)! Thanks for this, I've been tweeking and tweeking trying to get the cool stuff, and here it is!
