Ahoj je otázkou jestli se něco nedá najít u Jane´s (http://www.janes.com/) jinak si myslím že toto téma je pro L+K lehce mimo hlavní záběr a jsou i jiná periodika zaměřená na vojenské letectví i když pro mě je L+K tím nejkvalitnějším časopisem :-) Na tomto fóru jsem poslední dobou moc čechů nezahlédl tak doporučuju i nějaké jiné servery Monty CZ

Ok sorry I wasnt clear enough, the question is not if the AI is dumber or not I was talking about pure physic and matematics. I have 2 hypothetical planes from the same era. one plane was 10% faster second is better in turns. How can I make good flight model for both of them and how they will fight in game comparable to reality? Because I flying the faster one will never catch the "slower" one because AI is 30% faster in game. Do you see my point?

Hello all, after several years of flying and modding good number of the aircraft I have strong feeling that last patch changed something I dont like. Could somebody confirm or dispute this: I know that game uses whole AI flight to fight agaínst you. So any plane you try to attack, flies in a path that brings you in front of another plane, which will shoot at you. This was real enough for me. But after the last patch it looks like AI have more advantages in the same plane than you. Ok I knew that AI flies with normal settings, when you are flying on hard, but when max speed is different for more than 30% on the same plane it is more I can stand anymore. Another feeling I have when flying different plane - I am at 6 no more than 400m away from the enemy, and enemy starts to fly straight speed cca 300km/h(ok I know that another enemy plane will be on my back in no more than 10s) then I start to loose speed from my 450km/h so I cant get close to my target (FPS is slowing down too) If I dont break away from my target in no more than 2secs I will be sitting duck and shooted down. Mig-21 flying at Mach 1,2 can decelerate so quick!!! when I was trying to turn into him because I was slow (450km/h) and hoping that it will overshoot me (he was no more than 1km from me in that time). It managed to slow down so it was 200m at my six after my short S turn (flying the exact speed as me). I cannot slow down in the same Mig.21 so quickly. I was trying all that with original planes, my mods and all combinations of the planes. Am I paranoic or is the AI "advantaged" the ways I described? I respected this series because game physic was good enough and AI wasn so dumb but this level of the cheating I cand stand. It is the same why I dont fly Il-2 Can I change something to reduce differences of FM of player plane and AI in the same plane? All this is written with respect of TKs work but I simply wanted the world without cheating :-) Monty CZ

I believe that TRANSPORT role is implemented even in FE2 so if you define that role for plane in its inis you can meet one plane flying transport mission in game but only in campaign. or You can edit and define formation inis (like US fighter formation etc) where you can define only one possition (formation of one plane) and then in mission file you can define that flight will use that formation. oh my god, I wrote something loong and lost it due connection problem :-( Basicaly I miss talking about actualy flying planes. Advantages and disadvantages of each of them. So why not to start here? Take off from my point of view: (not talking about NAVY because there it is full AB, brakes and pffft you are flying :-) ) preflight check - skipped in this sim because everything is allways working taxiing - skipped you are on RWY already contact tower - skipped, no comunication available flaps - already there engine - already started and heated. from this point it depends which plane you are in. Prop planes - you have to manage torque effect so release brakes and add throttle slowly or you will turn or (and this is worse) pitch nose down. Early jets - accelerates slowly, so it helps to retract flaps and deploy them at 120kmh (my way, not the historicaly correct) Harrier - if you want VTOL dont arm your plane, it cannot take off verticaly with rockets, bombs, ammo and fuel There is JATO bottles mod (jet assisted take off??) it might be fun to try (never tried). each plane has its own take off speed so trying to pull up too early will cause slowing down or stalling. from F-86 till todays planes you can simply add throttle and release brakes, it will fly :-) dont forget to retract gear and flaps. anybody have any further suggestions? Do you know that CS-199 has no armament, RIGHT? :-) I am thinking about role for that bird in SF2 world... some reason to actually fly it :-) I really miss crash landings in this game so I can try to make it suitable for it...(or will the plane allways explode after touching ground?)...Ohh sweet memories when I downloaded Warbirds (old online sim) only for some belly landings, dont know if it was possible in Chuck Yeager's game...Surviving the battle is half of the fun, return with damaged plane and landing is the second... ohh! the neverending story of this site no, I wont do any G and K version, because using this site as a refference I cant see what is different on G-6 G-8 G-10 K-4 and so on. This has no meaning for me and I have no interests in WWII Messerschmidts. This above is basicaly G-10 (I hope) and this is all you can expect. MontyCZ

Hello all, I want to release Czechoslovak version of Avia, but I have one more thing to do. Even though I already know how to do droptanks with texture by plane color, I dont know how to set it in case of gunpods. Yes I can allways make 3 different gunpods but you have tochange them manualy when changed texture. And mission generato isnt able to do this. Any Ideas? and BTW in case CS-199 the instructor pilot was on back seat ...do you want to be instructor or student? :-) MontyCZ

Hello all, so I survived my holiday (I am saying that because I was doing this: :-) ) and weather is bad again so I can continue my work. I saw 1948 campaign released and nobody complained about any bugs so there will be czech version soon. But I was thinking about another feature - I would like to simulate engine overheating. Was it simulated before? Is there a way? I have dummy jet engine included for radiator/flaps movement and I was thinking that way... MontyCZ

Hey guys I´ve just saw the future... "C´mon it is not so different, we need good Bf-109C and you made the D already" :-) if something then it could be S-99 because I prepared some parts in my model, then CS-199 but first of all I have my paraglider already packed in my car and leaving for holiday :-) See you next week Monty CZ

Yes I saw them. there is always a chance :-) tomorow will be (hopefuly) released second expansion pack "Israel 1948" by usafmtl with IDF avias included. I am leaving for holiday today, so the czechoslovak version will be released next week. I dont know what will be my interests after that :-) MontyCZ
