Anyways, any update on this for SFG??? Not tryin to rush or anything, just noticed there haddent been any posts in a while, was lookin great. Sorry I have been a stranger around these parts. Work commitments and various trips to the docs have laid me low for a bit. ***EDI UPDATE*** EDI is now, after much quarreling and faffing, in 3DS Max, and is being boolean'ed to death as we speak...

MH-53 Pave Lows fly final combat mission
Moorkey replied to Typhoid's topic in Military and General Aviation
Excellent! Didn't know that! Probably the best news I have heard all day! I LOVE the '53. -
It will do. Have finished the model development prototype in MSFS2002. It is available for download from this site here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=7410 Now the model conversion / completion for Thirdwire sims can begin in earnest (real aircraft work aside lol). Will be back to asking silly questions in earnest soon... mainly about weapons loads etc...

View File UCAV EDI The UCAV (Extreme Deep Invader) form the film 'Stealth'. It doesn't fly itself (I'm not that good :->), but it does fly. It is very reactive, and requires a feather touch to fly accurately (this is after rewatching the film's dogfights over and over. I feel it is an accurate representation of EDI's flight characteristics). Could'nt get it to hover properly (it will fly slowly, then fall out of the sky slowly. Have strengthened the gear to compensate for landings) Have added a few animations (such as cockpit, lift fan doors, and flying controls), and custom sounds. Any feedback is welcomed. Hope you enjoy it! Moorkey Submitter Moorkey Submitted 10/07/2008 Category Military Aircraft

MH-53 Pave Lows fly final combat mission

It'll feel like an empty sky without them. Unique sillhouette, unique sound, unique aircraft. -
I think some people will be tinged with sadness that a missing relative hasn't been found.

Sorry if I came across as tactless or without taste. I was merely expressing my opinion. As for family affected the Japanese, my Australian grandfather fought them too. He was in the Australian Army. My family has a long and proud military history, including my English grandfather who flew against the Germans in the RAF, my father who fought with the Australian Army in Vietnam, who still carries the physical and psychological scars of that war, my sister who served in Iraq for two tours, and I myself served in the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy. I hear disrespectful and tactless things said about our honoured fallen, and read terribly disrespectful things written about our honoured fallen, every day, and like you it makes my blood boil. In writing on this post, I was merely casting an opinion on an event, which if true will mean final closure for a family left incomplete, or if fake, is nothing short of a desecration of the memory of all of the fallen. I meant no offence in anything I have written, and so apologise if I have.
-
I'll second that. Should the person be genuine, R.I.P, and I apologise for casting my doubts. If not, I can not tell how much I would despise the 'person' (in this case I use the term VERY loosely) who would fake such a thing.

Same here! Wouldn't the bone be exceptionally fragile after all these years? Not to mention the material of the straps?

Graphics Problem
Moorkey replied to Moorkey's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Ah. That's ok then. Back to burning it up in IL2:1946. (My copy of LOMAC didn't cost much anyhow) THX for the advice. -
Hey all. Have bought myself a new laptop (yay!) I tried to run LOMAC on it, and the graphics are fine, apart from these really odd textured spikes that eminate from my aircraft, seemingly to infinity, and ships, aircraft, etc... have chunks that keep disappearing. Has anyone had this problem before? Would anyone be interested in a Cylon Raider for MSFS? It's practically finished, just requires landing gear (help required. I have never seen a raider on it's landing gear! Have Seen Seasons 1-3, and Razor. No joy.)
-
At the mo (please pardon the pun) it has a mind of it's own. I am writing the air file from scratch, and all it seems to do is fly worse. Ho-hum, will keep trying! Have finished the gear animations, and am finalising the aeroelastics.
-
Have finished tweaking the exterior model. Not much difference from the test model, other than the aeroelastics are a little less clunky and see-through. Work has started on the panel. Preview to follow (thanks for the advice JA37). Also, have ditched the slightly modified old flight model and am building the planned shiny new one. (once again, thanks for the advice JA37)
-
Cheers for the test work! (The flying model is nowhere near the finished article yet. I think it's a little sluggish.) Am now modifying the wing to it's final stage of construction. Also to follow are the luge animations.

Nice schematics DANZ300ZX! Might give 'em a shot after I have finished EDI. Update for everyone following the progress on EDI. Have almost finished the FSDS model, so it is, as a result, almost ready to be converted for SF:G. It would have been sooner, but I wasn't happy with the main fuselage section, so I deleted it and re-made t. I think it looks more accurate, especially around the cockpit. What do you all think? p.s. I am uploading the pics via Facebook as when I attempt a direct reply using the normal buttons, my internet explorer crashes. Has anyone else had this problem?

Moorkey back on the air. I am finally, as of Monday, going to be able to get back on track with the UCAV EDI Project. I have, since December, been without my computer as it finally bit the big one. Sadly it is gone without hope of repair. On the bright side, I am getting a new one. On a brighter side, both the MSFS and SF versions survived the crash and will be progressed at short order. -Moorkey.
