F-4 Phantom II with modern Heads Up Display
macelena replied to xclusiv8's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
There shouldn´t be any trouble, the F-18 for SF2 has the same cockpit as allways but with the HUD of the F-15, you could do the same to an ARNIE Phantom cockpit In fact, if you got a CAT extractor, you could even try yourself. However, Multi Functional Displays and all those cool things wich those phantoms have would be a harder thing to implement -
F-4 Phantom II with modern Heads Up Display

Seems a Tomcat windscreen-HUD to me. Could you get a better quality image? -
Take it easy, Profi. It is not of my concern, but if you lost somebody important for you, or experienced something hitting, you should talk it out with somebody who knows you, don´t feel disturbed or ashamed for that In my opinion , th trouble about death is the pain of your relatives, and when you leave something wrong. I mean, you regret of having done or not, said, or paid something. Just take as much from life, and deserve it, so you can quit in peace, with your debts covered and an extra of pride. About the fear you might have to death, it comes from a natural instinct wich you have not because there is not a cogent need to live forever, you have just because if your DNA didn´t mark that, you would have extincted thousands of years ago, this feeling is not deeper than what you might thnk being drunk, or getting obsesed with a porn star, just some trash on the veins of your brains, and once death, it just doesn´t matter which kind of s**t you got wasting your brains, copy that? Abou afterlife, the idea of remaining forever with your beloved is plain beautyful, however, and althought with some doubts, i´m almost sure that doesn´t exist. Anyway, you wouldn´t really like to exist forever, do you? Personally i´m just an asshole who never saw anybody die, but this is what i think

Me and two other friends (were are all 20 years old) from Law School are about to join Volunteer Reserve (we are Spaniards), in March, most surely going Navy. In Spain, this kind of reserve is something new, and has been rolling for few years. By what we´ve been told, we would be trained as Sargents (no navalized rank names for NCOs here) given that we have getting a month of basic training, then being called to different specialization degrees, probably on administrative roles, being activated 1-3 months a year in peacetime, mainly in summer to cover the gap of personnel on holidays, or being deployed to support some operations outside. No options for promotions yet, until we get the degree, when we would make it to Ensign Given that this way of serving in half-time is new here, but several allied countries have been doing it for years, so i would like to ask you, mainly those who serve in reserve components. How do you make it work in your countries? Any advise on making service and civilian life not t interfere too much? Anything on it? Thanks a lot

France Map WIP
macelena replied to a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
That´s about it, but i was thinking of several what if, WOE style wars in past years among nations like Morocco, Algeria and Spain killing each other (Revolutionary movements in Algeria and Morocco and accordance to mess with us,scenario feared by our Gens), wich would take several versions of targets ini, along with some others, such as the real scenario of AdA Super Sabres, or earlier operations in the 20s in Morocco, but the map would fit a wide beam of operations -

VF-302 was a Naval Reserve squadron , converted to Tomcats in 1985, first embarked January 1986, and when the war broke out in Europe in November, the "Stallions" were detached to Germany to counter the then uncontested flights of MiG-25RB. SF2E NF4+, Mirage Factory Tomcat converted, with the cockpit of ODS -

Ansons, a couple of people and i are working on a mod for jet wars in the area, but we don´t have any map, would you mind letting us use this one? -
No, que va a ser inapropiado. Imposible en el off-topic. 3-A-305 tambien tiene un grupo de gritar fuerte y eso, y lo hacen bien, creo XD

F-16 BVR problem
macelena replied to Vambrace's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
If i were you i would try one meant specifically to engage in BVR combat. On Desert Storm the F-16s weren´t able to do so yet, perhaps AI was tweaked to represent this. I would try later models, or F-16 ADF - Personally, i have a couple of campaigns in SF2E NF4 for 159 FIS, Florida ANG, one with F-106A and the other with F-16ADF, and i do recommend it. ç I guarantee they do fire their AIM-7F -

No Tornado ADV served with Luftwaffe, check out, maybe ECR Mirage5BA even served in Desert Storm, IIRC, i didn´t mean anything about them -

I bet the guy who said that had never died before Personally, i don´t favour death penalty, it sounds some kind of grim having the state to cause a death on purpose, legally meaning just that, so does euthanasia, in example. I just find it dirty. It is not a matter that he deserves being executed, wich i think does. I don´t think that there is anything wrong on a "selective assasination", to me, an assymetrical warfare combat kill, but an execution is just not the way i would make it. However, sometimes there is nothing wrong on a mislead bullet.
