I got one most recently couple of weeks ago. In 1990 4x F-111F, 494TFS (LN) in strike to an airfield (Paran, two runways). I also picked two F-4G 23rd TFS (SP) as AAA was "Intense". As we entered low, i got my RWR mad 12nm away from target. Made F-4Gs to Attack Ground, and they started to loose off HARMs while i activated ECMs. As i got the runway, ordered my Varks to Attack Ground. Heard SAM LAUNCH!!! pressed R and told my wingman to strike the SA-13. I saw a burst of sparks coming into me, so i made nose down over the air field to avoid the ZSU-23. We all launched the snakeyes, and when i made sure we wasted all bombs, ordered to regroup. Then i heard "Enemies inbound". Ordered Varks home and Weasels (seems an air Zoo) to fight against MiG 29 with their couple of Sparrows. Know i made madness, but i activated my AIM-9Ms (M&Ms XD). As one of the Migs aimed at a Phantom, i throwed the winder at him, wich exploded mid-air Now alone, time to get back home. Tried to avoid SAM zones, but at a narrow gap was hit by IR SAM, wich left me without thrust. using my speed, i kept flying until D10, the closest airfield to the border. Once again a good vark mission, and once again had to land on D10.

As far as the Tornado was designed with the same way of thinking of the Tomcat already retired, some features of the aircraft (double seater,variable geometry wing, interceptor purpose, lack of performance to current standards)and its lack of some more ECM & decoy make it expensive to mantain for what they could be able to do, even with AMRAAM and ASRAAM, so as far as RAF can deploy their Typhoon, this aircraft come expendable - remember that military budget is the first idea against the economical crisis Anyway, it was an interceptor that became the first line of fighters in the RAF, RSAF & AMI, its cool, and deserves to be made at last!!

I got a paratrooper-friend, corporal, deployed in Afghanistan, who was URO (like humvee)leader, and once got hit by an IED. The car resisted the shock damage, but started to burn. When they got out from it just noticed that one was missing, and was trapped inside he got burned and scarred trying to save him, but they couldn´t. The KIA was a PFC (or equivalent) in Spain, but years before served against FARC guerrilla as SGT in the Colombian Army. My friend told me that his friend was different, that they respected him a lot for fighting beside us, his gallantry, and experience But when i see a man taller than me crying, scarred, and such humble, i feel that same for him. Estoy con un Mirage F-1, al que he puesto nueva skin y ajustes en loadout y data, para representar los Mirage F-1 tal y como sirven hoy en dia en el Ala 14 de Los Llanos. Esta basado en el Mirage F-1CH marroqui, incluyendo dispensadores de señuelos y todo . Lo que necesito saber es si realmente llevan misiles AMRAAM, si alguien esta interesado en este avión, cualquier sugerencia.

Interesting topic, man. As far as i´m more done to air defense, i´ll talk about my two favs- apart of some you mentioned F-104G. Pros: Excellent performance and visibility, nice maneuvering, good armament. Cons:Rather unstable, hard on its first flights Never tried USAF versions, but i think that it´s more "dream" than "widowmaker". It only needs comprehensive pilots. If you can use its unstable flight, and learn how to recover-avoid stall, it becomes a flying marvel."Be water, my friend" F-106 Pros: Stability, good amount of ammo, easy handling. Cons: I don´t like its armament, lack of guns and poor missiles. Visibility is rather... you better watch for yourself. I don´t appreciate its performance, can´t climb and get speed at the same time satisfactorily. If flown for SCRAMBLE needs so much time to be airborne and at proper altitude. If in CAP, you better fight on BVR, as its armament is for bombers, in its role is wonderful, a bomber downer.
