  1. Caaattttsssssss! (Yell it like Kirk yelling Khan)

There is a fatty cat, white with orange stripes, living near my girlfriend´s block, with the wich i hold a feud reminiscent of that Ridley Scott film "The Duellists". The mofo keeps teasing me to run over him with the car. I see his eyes shining with my headlamps, waiting in the sidewalk, just for me to get by and enter the road. Sometimes, i stop on time while he stands defiantly in the middle of the road, sitting, only to walk away flamboyantly moments later. Other times, i can´t stop on time and i stomp him. Once he flew away and hit his spine against a tree. I thought he was dead, but the next day i was walking and he was sitting in a mailbox, staring at me. Sometime later i run over him again (with another car!!) as he sprinted in front of my car and heard him bounce all over the transmission gear. I smashed the brakes and thought i would have ripped the poor bastard apart but then i saw him limping away as fast as he could into the darkness. I don´t know how many lives he had, but i´m sure he´s got a few less left, yet i still see him from time to time, being an asshole and teasing me. Dauntless son of a....
  2. The one you pointed him at originally, but he may keep engaging targets after he´s done or just come back at you
  3. Very good news my friends

Tag another killmark in your chair buddy, you earned it
  4. As a side note, i disagree abouttheir effectiveness. I´ve been using them and they remain effective as much as, maybe, AIM-9Ds, only that they need that arming time, so minimal range would be more than a mile and a half. I just played a mission with F.53s against Egyptian MiG-17s and they got a Fresco with a 60º or more deflection at launch two miles away, tracked as he kept closing into me, and hit him almost laterally. Don´t know how would they do in RL or modded installs, but tstock missiles work really well...again if launched within proper parameters. They are underrated, just as the Matra R.530, it is just a matter of getting used to either. I would suggest playing a 1979 campaign with the Lightning F.6, quite challenging but still you will be surprised by how good does the Red Top against targets like the flare equipped MiG-27s
  5. Yep, Martians get upset about birds. And clapping. And Slim Whitman https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD77Pd_5-vo
  6. "I don´t want to be Justin Bieber´s bodyguard"
  7. WTF? I just said i didn´t want to be in the Royal Guard and the King abdicates? I´ll better not convert to Islam
  8. Yes, doing great. I´m back to square one, and had to miss an entry process last February as a penalty because i "volunteered" to drop out, but since the alternative was a medical discharge, wich would have meant to go back to my old job, wich i didn´t feel much fulfilling, i took the injury as a chance to look somewhere else. Chances are, depending on what do they offer this summer,p robably Sappers or Paras, and in the odd event of Cavalry, would think about it. Have got a few Marine friends in said group going for NCO or trying to get accepted in the Naval Special Warfare course, and got to be nearly as fit as they were, but i´ll probably miss that. Dad is the Navy supply officer in the area and i don´t want any awkward situations nor nepotism suspicions. IQ qualifications are not as competitive in most Army units as they were on the Royal Guard, so i´ll probably have the chance to choose any station i want. Will keep reporting as much as i learn
  9. Free Battlefield 3

DLing too...wonder if i can burn this damn laptop at last
  10. When i started recovering from an injury wich left me out of boot camp, i joined a group preparing for physical training and, as the coach allways called us "potatoes", we adopted this:
  11. F@#k this, i´m getting an X-Wing
  12. Interstellar

Just watched the trailer before Godzilla. Not a big fan of McCona-Huey, whatever it is spelled, but i liked Nolan films (not that i´m one of his sycophants, only Dave's) and will be eager up to November. Loved the lens effect on whatever they go through in space, and some of the gear, like the hibernation pods, but i feel something wrong with the ship's general appeareance (not the design itself, wich is awesome). I think and hope they will keep a good balance of the drama and the sci-fi (as hardcore as they can, i expect)
  13. François Pignon

Mind if i keep calling you just cangas?
  14. Godzilla

Got to watch it at least, loved it, paid 7.80€ for two tickets on Moviegoer's Wednesday. Loved it, but i missed Warthogs... i still feel weird for people trying to bring it down with light firearms, specially after being unbelievably resistant to "ALL" kinds of ordanance, but makes sense in a couple of scenes. Loved the Janjira´s setting, in example, and while it doesn´t fill much screen time, the HALO jump scene is great
  15. I think you need at least SF2E, SF2 and EXP2 to fly the stock Hunter59, but even if you had them all merged, that wouldn´t explain the issue. Perhaps flying with the Arabs and finishing is causing this, i flew many times against Israel as it gives the best challenge, but never completed a campaign against them
  16. First of all, i´m sorry i don´t put another screenie, but I´m having issues and i feel this may be interesting to post Matra R.530s are much more effective than usually thought, they only have very strict launch parameters. They work great as face-shooters in Escort missions at a reasonable altitude, even against MiG-19/21s wich have RWR and can try to evade it. I´m much more confident at them than on AIM-9Bs for the 1960s Mirage3C
  17. Bunny Yeager dies

I almost thought "Bunny" was some sort of nickname and it was Chuck Yeager who died...
  18. Yellow is not necessarily something behind you, it may be anything related to your flight, like seeing a bandit or being fired at. If you are being shot at, it will be red.
  19. Council tells WW2 Re-enactment society.. NO NAZIS

But what about the horns? In Madrid, a bullfight just had to be cancelled after all bullfighters were hornscrewed. If i had horns against a guy with big teeth and strong legs but with weak arms, like, maybe, Matthew McConaughey, we wouldn´t have masterpieces like U-571 anymore. Or maybe have them with Channing Tatum.
  20. Council tells WW2 Re-enactment society.. NO NAZIS

C'mon, Triceratops is going to gore the living bowels out of the T-Regina. What is it gonna do, block his horns with his arms?
  21. Why would they need it? If they can afford to keep a 24/7/365 QRA , why bother at all?
  22. SF2 has many shortcomings, but i value it most for the way it recreates scenarios. More often than graphics, what lowers the FPS the most or at least many times is the amount of AIs the PC has to handle. Compare a single mission with a couple of flights per side with a campaign mission with around ten flights. It keeps being a challenge even if you know how to defeat any enemy and have done so a thousand of times. A MiG-17 will always be that sneaky mofo ready to ruin your day if you make a mistake, even if sometimes the AI goes dumb.
  23. Council tells WW2 Re-enactment society.. NO NAZIS

While i support all history remembrance, including reenactments, and i think there is no sense in not having the bad guys, i allways felt every guy i met with nazi stuff quite creepy. I could count them with one hand, but the fact about both reenactments and, for that matter airsoft, is that those events are filled with a lot of wannabes wich wouldn´t walk the walk, so to speak. I´ve never been much in for either airsoft or dressing up in uniform as i didn´t earn it, it felt like a bit of stolen valor to me. And if i earned it, the one i was meant to wear would be enough.
  24. A bit of those were too danger close for comfort...i admit i had a B-1er too after that
  25. Mixed formation F-4G and F-16?

Yep, we could say...they went into HARM´s way...
