Blackbird dice, aparte de que él y la comunidad estan impacientes por probarlo y que es un trabajo extraordinario, que la punta de las alas es ligeramente distinta, creo que se refiere al corte en la esquina trasera

Rolling Thunder (A) - Mission 06
macelena replied to beachav8r's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
SF2V and SF2NA go great together, almost as good as NA and SF2E. My situation is different from the majority, as i can´t use mods properly, but i have all titles, but i would say that playing a campaign in Iceland with an "Underdog" Phantoms in a Tomcat dominated Navy, and running to kill those soviet bombers before Hawkeye calls "Vampyre" is as fun as the game gets. -
That´s better than posting stupid stuff like lazercats fighting UFOs until you are an Elite member without limitations, like i did...oh, wait...nevermind

SF2 Series DACT Reports And Related A2A Discussions (Game only)

Indeed, sometimes i tried F-4Ns vs Iranian Tomcats, and indeed, i feel so much more confortable handling the Phantom than the Tomcat, that i would prefer it, despite all disadvantages. Not saying that it is a better aircraft in any sense, i´m just more used to it. -

There was some video of Eagles trying to get a lock on a B-52, they couldn´t because the BUFF was poping flares "like a motherfucker", yet they wouldn´t get close because of the tailgun -
Remember what i said about the Docs, Dave. They know their shit and will fix it, i´m sure.

INS Vikramaditya starts sea trials

I agree with what you say, but if i may point something, Pakistan turning like Iran would make the Ayatollahs look like sissies. they may not have such a control over sea lanes or Tomcats, but they have Nukes, the ability to blockade Afghanistan...that´s why you can´t thread with them, and supporting India is kind of counterproductive in that matter. Probably the Indians made you a favor by not taking that support, i would totally see Pak going the other way. It is unfair not to support somebody because you distrust his enemy, but at this point, it may even be practical. -
Good luck buddy, in a fair, or even a logic world, you could have got him fired. However, keep up. Let make an opportunity out of this. Will be hard, but you might end up better than you were before. Just keep moving, and good luck.

No, sorry, no need to reopen the issue. Just talking about another example of an engagement with both fighters being unpredictable with a large amount of variables coming to play. Being the best two (stock) fighters in-game, it is a quite interesting match. -

Just for fun, i tried again Ali-Cat vs Baz on 2vs2, once on each side. Both times got smoked without scoring a kill...man, i sure suck with those. I wish i could handle the Tomcat as good as the average AI. -

I understand the point of view of the Indians not buying the US package in terms of: they don´t want to be neither better friends nor worse enemy. If such an offer went to a NATO ally, it would be worth considering, but they already made their point through their whole history, they play their side. If i had the Damocles sword hanging like they do, i would probably do the same. Besides, that makes good for a what if campaign with SF2NA. It would be too weird to have a Nimitz class vs the kitty, both launching SuperHornets at each other. -
Post war F-38?
macelena replied to Streakfalcon's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
My favourite USAAF fighter, however, it was kind of obsolete by the time it all was over. If anything, i guess it would have been a better idea to keep F-47Ns as tactical aircraft instead of the F-51, but back in the day, i imagine there was not a clear picture on how to use those aircraft...keep the better performer for air to air to match as close as possible jet adversaries? or relegate piston engined aircraft to tactical missions? the answer to that determined wich one remained in service. -
As many of you, i feel disappointed with the looks of that. I hope they can fix them to a better standard matching other HBO miniseries, but i´m afraid it is not as easy to do with aircraft.

Confession Prayer to the God of Airplane Designers

I once put a SUU-11 on a Phantom by mistake. I found it extremely weird that a Backfire could take so much pounding until i read the selected weapon caption. Then i got a 23mm thru the windshield. -
After my parents intended me to switch from public university to a private (and pretty frikkin expensive) one, i finally grew a pair and decided to enlist, as i had allways wanted. Been hard with the family, specially with mom, grandmas, and girlfriend, but it is done so far. Yesterday i passed the selection exams. While i had originally intended to apply for Light Infantry and Sapper units, the recruiter said he had nobody with higher quals (no bragging intended...well, maybe a bit) and told me to change my career choices for more demanding jobs (wich also made my mom easier to calm down, since i was to be EOD, paratrooper or both) So far, i´m a candidate for Air Force security details, either at the Royal Guard or at the Air Force HQ, a PJ-Air Force expeditionary unit, Marine Corps, several Navy units, including Navy Air Arm, and Typhoon groundcrew, with my best quals for the Marines. It is heavily contested, as there are many applications due to the still wide unemployment, but the recruitment people i talked to and myself are confident that i´m going to make it, and i´m already doing the paperwork to finish my degree within the services. Wish me good luck folks

Torn muscles, i was too screwed up to stay as it was meant to be kind of a pussyfied hell week and we were in a semi-abandoned training base, so sick bay rules were more strict. I had pushed it too much by that time. Will try again ASAP, anyway.

Feeling pretty fucked up now. I injured my leg badly, kept going for a couple of days, and messed it up so bad i´m out of the game now. I´ll be able to reenlist wherever i apply in three months but so far, this is the end of my service in the Air Force and Royal Guard.

Linebacker II Soviet analysis
macelena replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
Talking about LB2, we are talking about several factors being changed over the previous Rolling Thunder Operation. The main troubles the US aviation faced during the whole war were, in my unexpert opinion, doctrine (training, weapon systems, planning) and politics concerning targets. Both of them were solved partially by the the time of LB2, but the US aviation was still unefficient in terms of air power for a given result. When compared with the contemporary conflicts in the Middle East, you can see how different an AIr Force performs with a doctrine adapted to its needs and the political will to survive. Probably, the IDFAF had more in common with the NVAF in terms of being Effed Up and pragmatical, facing an air force with internal problems, like the USAF or the Arab coalition The reason it ultimately failed to prevent the South from falling a couple of years later was that, the way i see it, LB2 was not intended to secure SV as much as ending the war in terms satisfactory to the US. If Linebacker 2 was a failure, it is because none had the guts to launch Linebacker 3 in 1975. -
