Btw, does anybody know of any Marine Phantom Sqn wich could have been attached to CVW-11 in USS America, like VMFA-333 was to CVW-8 on USS Nimitz? America is the other carrier i´m using, since the stock Kitty Hawk model fits (last cruise they did with that configuration, apparently) and they were in their way back to the US from Rota at the time. I already added a detachment of VMFA-333 Phantoms to Nimitz, i just would like to add another one to America as well. Btw, any info on America´s BG composition at the time would be very apreciated. So far, it has USS Ernest Borgnine and USS William Holden as their escorting Cruisers.

That´s as far as i could figure out the OrBat of 2nd Marine Air Wing at the era. One Harrier Sqn aboard USS Saipan, VMFA-115 and VMA-223 as reinforcements at NAS Keflavik, and VMFA-333 on Nimitz are what i intend put on mine. SF2 or SF2V users, you could use daddyairplanes´s F-4J_74, with SF2E you can get the Harriers and with SF2 you get the A-4F(74) used for A-4M. For the people who doesn´t have, you could use the Alternate type entry and reccomend other mods wich could cover them. IIRC, there is a cool A-4AR wich could be a good replacement for the A-4M, besides having the newer cockpit.

It is weird, our army uses basically the same weapons (G36, MG4, MG3) as the heer, and the G36 is well liked. Perhaps those troubles are related to the MG36? They don´t use to fire fully automatic with assault rifles.

Imagine that VPAF had been succesful in hitting a carrier when they performed those antiship raid in the Tonkin Gulf. If a single MiG-17 slipped thru the air defence and BARCAPs and loosed a salvo of rockets on a populated deck during Linebacker 2 it would have been a disaster.

Then it must have been a Microsoft patch for the upcoming Thirdwire Exp3 Images and footage were impressive, glad everybody so far made it, if the airbust had been lower or if it had kept integrity until touching the ground in a populated area... EDIT: Glass sharpnell seemed to be far more damaging than originally reported, it´s a miracle nobody died so far

In a full merged install, could you get buildings from other titles in the Desert terrain to make it more rich as an environment? Like the Berlin TV tower, the french style buildings around the Paul Doumer bridge in Hanoi, the industrial buildings, et cetera, being placed in the Desert terrain? Would it only take a the correct reference in INIs, or extracting and placing it in the appropiate folder, either being targetable in Strike missions or not? If i can get to learn enough about terrain editing, i would like to fill Desert with those items a bit. Desert is a bit light of stuff, and it would be a great improvement to include factories near cities, the presidential palace from Israel as the evil guy lair, or a TV tower in the modern capital of Dhimar. Maybe even a couple of bridges in the border mirroring cities area.

It was C-4 for Buchon, C-5 for Sabre, A-6 for Texans, C-8 for Starfighters, A-9 for Northrop/CASA F-5s and C-10 for Ha-220 Super Saeta, however, C-7 was, IIRC, for Ha-300 before it was cancelled, so it might be right. C-7 for Lightning F.3, and C-7A for Lightning F.56, could have been sequentially correct

I tried a couple of recon missions with F-8Ks standing for RF-8Gs over Iceland and it is great. Despite the lack of SAMs (other than SA-8s) flying thru the canyons evading pursuers is cool. Btw, DA, is there any way to find out the composition of 2nd MAW fixed wing aircraft in the era for the Keflavik deployment? Or maybe some detachments aboard carriers.

I´m not to aware of the fonts, a friend did the serials for me when i made the MirageIIIEE out of the TMF original, however he (Wildcat) is no longer around. Loborojo did some work on that recently, you might want to ask him. Btw, the chicken insignia was for Wing 22, wich flew F-5s off Moron, wich is where Wing 11 is based nowadays. The real life insignia of the 11th is that in the avatar of Hans Topp, i had one in the Mirage3EE packs if you are interested.

I thought that terrain had trouble with those boundaries, otherwise, i think it can be done as soon as aircraft are added and inis are made to make things fit.

New terrain is a no-go. I keep saying that the expansion will have Mirage F1, some other Mirages, a few red stuff including MiG-25, with luck, USAF and NATO F-16s, and with a lot of luck, the return of the Starfighters. However, think of the DLCs, like South African Mirages, F-104S if Starfighters come along... Anyway, i think Android is the main thing now, so if and when Exp3 comes out, we better keep it out of our plans so far

Initially, the USMC squadron i originally flew in the campaign was VMFA-323, as it was the stock squadron for the overall grey USMC skin, however, while i was at it, found out about their deployment aboard Coral Sea during the Teheran hostage crisis. I would love any information on Js, too, the only issue is that, as i intended to keep it as stock as possible, DECMs wouldn´t appear, however, it could be lived with since it seems to be not much of aan issue. Thought of VMFA-333 as a J squadron, as it used to deploy aboard Nimitz, IIRC. Any Naval Phantom unit to reinforce Keflavik would be great. Would love to have them embarked, but i don´t know if carriers would be a bit overcrowded. I thought of adding VMFA333 to the Nimitz. To summarice, I´m looking for any unit using stock stuff of any DLC or merged install wich could have been deployed to the area adding a bit of variety. Skyhawks could be fine, like an A-4F being a place holder for A-4Ns....the whole reason of using stock is because mod heavy installs affect performance
