macelena replied to macelena's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I saw too that the A-6E appeared in the campaign when made flyable, but i was really surprised when i installed dtmdragon´s A-4N and the A-4H Ahit (73) got replaced by the A-4n(78) in the Lebanon war. -

Under his direct command. The best explanation of the raison de etre of the military since the "D1cks, Pu$$1es and A$$holes" speech on Team America

Sea Harrier Over The Falklands
macelena replied to harryleith's topic in Military and General Aviation
Well, the radar threat was not as high as in other contemporary conflicts, and many aircraft in the era lacked proper ECM. However, should the scenario have been different, it would have been disastrous. Imagine Mig-23s, Mirage F1s / 50s, or Phantoms, much faster than the Shar and with radar BVR capability. Or even imagine that the Argentine MirageIIIEAs could carry R530s all the way to the area, or facing the Syrian air defense network over Lebanon. Without any doubt, the Shar with AIM-9Ls owned the skies over the Falklands but when you are about to rely on carriers only, those carrier wings better be well suited. The same applied to our AV-8S. -
My Favorite DLC
macelena replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Now that i think about it, the lack of Argentine DLCs (Falklands era Skyhawks and Mirages) is kind of weird, given that the Falklands Mod is so popular and the basic models are made already. Hmmm, getting conspiranoic about some speculations i had discarded before... -

My Favorite DLC
macelena replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Agree 100%. It shouldn´t be that hard (i know, i´ll cut that out) and having slatted, naval phantoms with paweerfull radar would kick red a$$ . My fav DLCs would be the non US naval aircraft (Aussie Skyhawk, Brit Phantom, French Sader). The last two are a must have for SF2NA, either DLC or TMF. Otherwise, i guess it would be Mirage3C, althought as i got SF2I, i keep Ludo´s great mod in SF2E. -

SF2: North Atlantic Ideas
macelena replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Besides Tomcats and playing "Battleship" with the red fleet, this is one of the first things i will do. Yeah, i know i could do the same right now, but i keep the game quite light of mods and i´m a dumba$$.. -
SF2NA requirements
macelena posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I´ve seen the requirements for SF2NA. Having a CQ 61 portable PC, i pass everything but the RAM, wich requires 4 Gb, while i have 3 only. Will there a way of making the game work properly, such as tune down the Graphs and editing missions as light in events as possible? I know it can be said without the game being out, but using the rule of thumb, could it work or will i have to wait until getting a new PC? -
SF2NA requirements
macelena replied to macelena's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Thanks a lot everyone, if i finally managed to get a paypal and could buy it, wich i will surely do, i wouldn´t like to be stuck with the requirements. So far, i´ve been able to use the SF2 games with max performance in graphics, wich is not, however, my main priority. So as soon as i can, i´m getting my dirty hands on this. -

IIRC, the MFD could switch from radar to RWR, maybe it was this way for the early Tomcats -
