  1. I saw that thread, wich interestingy brought the B-52 raid part of RSR to my mind http://combatace.com/topic/69859-meet-the-b-52-video-on-youtube/page__pid__545392?do=findComment&comment=545392
  2. Bring It Iran

I don´t like Gary Brecher "War Nerd" too much, but i agree with him in the fact that you yanks should have bombed the crap out of them when the hostage crisis. Probably not the best for the hostages, but like in jail, sometimes you have to look as the maddest MF around.
  3. Meet the B-52 video on YouTube.

I once read an older than dirt magazine (aviation review, i think, 1982) with an article about an exercise in the wich a soon to be retired B-52D flew from the UK to Rammstein to "bomb" the runway. The BUFF got intercepted by Luftwaffe Phantoms, but the bomber pilot claimed that, should that been real, the pantom guys would be with tears in his eyes. I tried to find out how, and using the mission editor replayed it. I ended up with tears in my eyes. Flared out all my winders and it took about a hundred 20mm rounds to kill, with my Phantom getting a 50 cal hole courtesy of Mr Tailgunner.

  12. F-35 to replace JASDF F-4Ejs

I allways thought of the EF2000 as the fighter the JASDF should have adquired. However, they will more likely want an stealth long range interdictor to blow the crap out of anything on the asian continent. The only such aircraft (apart of the B-2) being developed seems to be on the wrong side of the East China Sea, as the Chengdu J-20 seems designed to fit that mission. (Just the other way around)

  22. RSR is a must read, indeed About SF2NA, i guess that the game will continue the series of events portrayed in SF2E, my guess is coming all the way, from crusaders-phantoms-tomcats, for USN fighters, the same way SF2E did for the USAF (Hun, Phantom, Eagle) along with some other aircraft (Corsairs for Warthogs). However, i wouldn´t expect much participation by non US forces, maybe some RAF in Scotland (should Scotland appear in the map) given the lack of carriers and so. Besides that, i would like that the game included some late USN Phantoms, at least the F-4N (i don´t see the S coming). About the impact on other releases, it would be great for a campaign about the USN in the Lebanon War. I wonder if an E-2C skin for the IDFAF would do fine. Also, the North Atlantic will provide finally a good scenario for DLCs such as the F-4K and F-8E(FN).BTW, I doubt the Mirage F1 is really to be much at home in this scenario, should it be released as a DLC or an Expansion. However, for SF2E and others, Mirage F1 completes the French AF for all the time frame, as anyone else (US, UK or Germany) are getting Phantoms while the Armee de´l air remains with the Mirage IIIC much after it becomes obsolescent. To summarise, my guess is that it will be SF2E for the USN. Aside from any "code" improvement or anything like that, i guess it will be as great as any other in the series.
  23. Allright, just happened as i´m posting: I came happy back home this morning, after buying two bars of bread and...well, a box of profilactics. Home, the only other person was my grandmom, wich is living with us as she recovers from a cancer surgery a few weeks ago. So i proceeded to remove my navy style, hard plastic wind cutting coat, but the zipper was jammed at the neck. So i pulled it all out, and the coat, but couldn´t pull the head out, it was closed to narrow. It was wrapped around my neck, looked just like a Mae West life-saving vest. So, i went downstairs, where my granny, wich was a taylor, could have told me anything about the zipper or something, just to find her talking to the phone and watching the cooking channel. A couple of cigarettes later, having learned about ways of cooking onion and that my grandma was about to stay a long time talking and watching TV, i walked to the kitchen, got the scissors she just used to cut open a chicken, and tried to cut out the zipper. The scissors broke, and it was a close call to my arteries...too close for comfort. So i covered my neck with hard clothes in the narrow gap the coat left and went to the garage, wearing my Mae West coat, to get a couple of two-hand grass shears, and cutted the zipper to pieces. When i got back to the living room, my grandma was still talking on the phone and watching TV, so i phoned my girlfriend to tell her about having the "ammo" and the whole coat incident, just to get her ROFLing at me. Half an hour after i made it home, my granny shouted me from downstairs, and i got smoked for breaking the scissors and tearing the coat in half.
