Good to see you back C5, hope everything goes out fine

I´m pretty sure to say that Argentina by nature did never want the war (maybe the high military staff government, but neither the lower rank military nor the people who just stuck together as a country) and shall never find itself in the awful circumstances that led to the war in 1982. That´s what i can say after smelling the Argentine members here as an outsider. As Spaniard, I can understand both sides. I know what do the Argentines feel about the islands, for them is like they were usurped and humilliated since the British took over in 1833. However, i can say that we wouldn´t launch Operation Rosario (Gibraltar would have been so easy, and the Jack is still there) but we would execute Corporate (we almost entered war with Morocco in 2002 for a rock smaller than a football field). For what i know, the Falklands War was the most crazy ludicrous war, between two western countries wich i considerate friendlies, allies, and brothers to mine. I don´t think there is gonna be any mess. And this time I don´t feel down for having no show, it would be madness.

Thunderbirds pilots

First Squadron of JF-17 Thunder inducted in PAF
macelena replied to ghostrider883's topic in Military and General Aviation
I don´t think this is much better than the F-16s PAF already have, other than independent from US supply with expected equivalent capabilities. Anyhow, the PAF needs to replace the F7, Mirage and Q5 badly. Perhaps that seemed enough to fight talibans, but those are quite old aircraft. And if they want to have a chance of making the IAF think, "hey, we could have casualties while crushing trough into Iran", i guess they need those. Wouldn´t make much difference, really, but "pakishooting" R-27s on Mirage, F7 and Q5 would be too easy -
Fu**er. MotherFu**er.

I don´t speak for the Argentinian members, but i think that if the resolution to defend the islands is lean in the UK, the probability to take it by the arms by Argentina is even minor. They have other things to take care of

Stick some nut idea to naval aviation. I thought the thread was about this

As far as i know, all aspect IRM weren´t available in the 1995 Cenepa War. I heard they also had Super 530s, but that´s not much reliable. Oí que tenía Super 530, pero no era información muy fiable Decoys such as flares or chaff may be added, the french did so in the cone intended for the chute under the tail, in Spain we have them under the elevators, , but the Mirage F1 lacks internal reserve space to ECM Señuelos como Chaff y Bengalas pueden instalarsele, los franceses en el cono bajo la cola, en España los tenemos bajo los timones de profundidad, pero el Mirage F1 carece de espacio interno de reserva para contramedidas electrónicas

F-102 and F-106 Cockpit
macelena replied to Cliff7600's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
You ever heard of "ear-parking"? Well, ear-landing is the same, useful when poor visibility. Go instrumental, until you hear "Crank" or "Screeek". This means you made contact. Then you might get under control or pray so you have a zero-zero able seat -
Agree. In fact, it wasn´t even his own death, but borrowed from an alternate script http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKtYsUrnw7U&feature=related

glad to find you stick, hope dead toll remains on 8

To both your friday topics, as somebody who has never been in combat, but allways thrilled about war, i think war, as a word, comes to mean it all. Implies a lot of people, each with their own motivations, feelings, their own way to get things done, and an impressive amount of unexpected events. So as an individual you just make what at you, and everything you bring along with you, takes you to do. For everything else, Mastercard.

Mission Type
macelena replied to AndrzejJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Perhaps the map doesn´t let you perform such missions. A-4s are enabled to anti ship missions. SF2V with massive expansions, maybe? -

RIP captain btw, was he involved in some joke about leaving a car wreck into another boat´s path? or was he the one screaming at his son for being lazy? I sure remember him

Personally, i allways buy the cheapest. In a couple of months they are broken, and my 10e worth joysticks work as good as others. Just less buttons, wich i wouldn´t learn to control before i waste them

I´t liked it very much, sounds right
