It might be a good moment to watch this movie: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=GIDwalAHZv0 -

Those being bought off are tribal leaders and bandits theorically not as concerned about the yihad, as of keeping their lands for their own (either from westerners or arabs), make profits, etc. I don´t like it, but ocasionally works, mainly regarding humint. However, what is being thought off, is to buy the hardcore enemies, which would not only be as dirty and ashaming as the former, but plain stupid

HUD displays
macelena replied to greyhawk's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
It would take to make a new HUD files for the lines, i think those would be TGAs, but i´m not sure, however -

I think it could be useful if used as an electronic portfolio, if you take it as somekind of multirole device wich would replace paper, it could be useful for students and desk employees with some mobility. Along with some multimedia features, it will find a place. But still people has to feel that they may find use for something too big for being a cell-phone or mp3 class device, but i guess, not as powerful as an standard PC

Wich was the card of this guy, the Joker?

At first i thought that it was because after the Cold War their use was put down, but then the Su-47 was codenamed "Frikin", and the AA-12 became the "Adder", and so on. However, while there used to be a Nato reporting name for Chinese aircraft (Fantan, Finback and Flounder) some aircraft remain (to my knowledge) unnamed in such jargon, such as the J-10, JF-17, while already operative. Do you know of any name they may have got or any reason, wether being politically nice or something, why the NATO wouldn´t assign them a reporting name?

I Love MiG-17s
macelena replied to Fubar512's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Agree with you, Canadair. It´s justified, but that won´t change that an enemy, that is, a guy who comes to fight and faces sacrifice. The fact that in turn he would kill you does just make him have more things in common with you than those who are out of the suck, if you are to engage and kill him. Personally i find the enemy a subject worth of respect in most cases, if not a criminal, and a loss. However, that shouldn´t prevent the job from being done -
Southern America is truly the spearhead of law enforcement. For every cop, from Tijuana to Rio de Janeiro, it´s world war on crime.

Hope these aren´t much premature, but congratulations, man

It is not a matter of wich is a better aircraft in short term, but of building an industry. Compare the outcome of the first "Eurofighter", the Tornado, with that of the Typhoon. Perhaps it is not the best way, but it has to be done. Reminding me of the post of shotdown, it would be like buying football stars (GlobeMaster, Hercules), as Real Madrid, but not investment on rookies, as Barcelona. The latter is doing better. It will take some time, but the aircraft industry in the EU needs to operate this way on some projects.
