  2. USN SAM pack

    Version 1.0

This is a complete package of SAMs used by the United States Navy from the early cold war era to present. Currently 33 different missiles are included. I have meticulously researched, modified, tested and compiled these weapons so that I and other ship modders have a selection of realistic standardized missiles (one might say "Standard Missiles":D) to work with. The medium and long range missiles have been assigned updated efects from SF2NA, as well as new sound effects (included in the package), which sound much more appropriate than the default sound. I'm particularly proud of the VLS launch effect, which I made by ripping and editing official footage; I think it adds to the immersion tremendously. Note that two stock weapons, the RIM-2F and RIM-66B, are replaced by this package. I usually try to avoid this, but the RIM-2F model did not sit on launchers correctly, and both weapons had some wildly incorrect data. Optional data files for a few stock and third-party USN ships are included which adds new weapons as appropriate and adjusts radar strength to more realistic levels. Please see the readme for instructions, credits, and other details. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or constructive criticisms regarding this model, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you!

  4. JASDF Weapon Pack

To celebrate the arrival of our new F-2A, I've updated some of the weapons in this package. The AAM-4 (which was the very first 3D model I ever made) has been completely overhauled with more polygons and a more authentic texture. All of the ASM-1 and ASM-2 series missiles have been retouched and reskinned as well, and overall they look much better hanging under the wings of Dels's masterpiece.
  5. I finally got my hands on the official JMSDF fonts, so I've updated the decals on this ship. Instead of re-downloading the whole thing again, you can just grab the archive below. DDG-173 decals.rar
  6. Since other missiles like the Harpoon don't have this issue, I'm thinking there may be something within the old Exocet model itself that's causing the issue. That makes no logical sense, I know, but it wouldn't be the first time for this series... I'll see what I can come up with.
  7. Mitsubishi F-2A Viper Zero Ver 1.0 for SF2

This is my new favorite thing. Thank you so much for your hard work!
  8. I've had a similar problem with infra-red SAMs like the RAM on the LCS. It typically refused to shoot unless ShowMissile=TRUE, despite (or perhaps because of) it being completely concealed by the launcher. Cruise missiles have all worked fine for me so far, though... What sort of launcher setup do you have on the ship? If possible, post up the vessel and missile you're using and I'll see if I can replicate the issue on my end.
  9. Absolutely beautiful! The detail that ace888 put into the skins is amazing. I'm looking forward to this model more than anything.

  12. Samurai's Shipyard

Real life has really gotten in the way for me, so I haven't touched Strike Fighters in quite a while. Sorry for the endless delays. The Sovy is being a huge pain to unwrap and skin, so I'm going to have to redo some parts of the model to make things more bearable.Hopefully colmack will have some nice Cold War cruisers for us while I get my butt back in gear. You know, I actually considered a Godzilla mod-- The problem is, there's no way to do complex animations (i.e. walking, moving arms, opening mouth to roar, etc.), so even a guy in a rubber costume would look far more lifelike!
  13. Very sorry to keep you waiting. I'm uploading tonight-- It's a complete package with 13 skins and some other modifications. Nengajyou did an outstanding job with this, so I'm sure you'll all enjoy it.
  14. Meteor explodes over Russia, hundreds reported injured

Two words: BOOM It apparently landed in a zinc plant, by the way.
  15. Samurai's Shipyard

Sovremenny under construction ETA: some time next month, hopefully. Now that there are updated Korean War carriers available, I feel somewhat disinclined to continue work on the CV-14. I promised Wrench a straight-deck Essex, though, so I'll try my best to make it something more than just a repeat of an existing model. Vikramaditaya would be interesting... Now way I'd want to scratch-build one though. If someone had a Kiev model (that they were working on before SF2:NA came out, for example), maybe they'd be able to rebuild the deck like the Indian Navy did with the real thing.
  16. Tanks?

I'll be doing a pack of European ground vehicles at some point, and I plan to include Challengers, Leopard 2s, Leclerc, T-90, and a few other tanks and fighting vehicles. I have to finish some ships first, though, so it'll be a while.
  17. File Name: Visby class corvette File Submitter: WhiteBoySamurai File Submitted: 19 October 2011 File Category: Other This model represents the Visby class, a series of 600 ton corvettes developed for the Swedish Navy. The Visby has been in development and testing for years, and finally entered service in 2009. The Visby has received international attention due to its groundbreaking stealth features. The vast majority of its systems are hidden within the hull, giving it a low radar cross section and a very sleek hull. All necessary sounds, guns, and weapons are included in this package, as well as hull decals for each ship of the class. See the readme for more details. Please remember that this model is designed for the SF2 series and updated for SF2:NA, so it probably won't work correctly with earlier versions of the game. File Name: North Korea People's Air Force MiG-29 File Submitter: WhiteBoySamurai File Submitted: 03 January 2013 File Category: MiG-29 This is a Korean People's Air Force skin for the Mirage Factory MiG-29, complete with authentic serial markings and propaganda slogans seen on actual NK aircraft. This skin may be used for B and C model Fulcrums as you prefer. The MiG-29 Fulcrum is North Korea's most modern and potent fighter, primarily tasked with defending Pyongyang. The DPRK has approximately 35 MiG-29B and 5 MiG-29UB in their inventory, plus an unknown number of MiG-29C models first photographed in 2003. 19. Korea v3 needs some new bad guys.
  20. Thanks for the assistance, Snailman. My plate is pretty full, and the Kamovs will take a while, but I'll do my best on them. I've never built a cockpit before, especially not one with Russian instruments, so that will probably be a separate project. Maybe Marcfighters' Mi-8 cockpit will be an okay substitute in the mean time.
  21. Visby class corvette

New version is being uploaded with working flight deck, as requested by JonathanRL. Enjoy! (Be sure to switch to the frigate version, "Visby_DATA_FF.ini", in order to make use of it.)

(US MLRS are Green and Tan instead.) Additional vehicle packs for the JGSDF, ROK, and PLA may follow if this mod is well-received. (Don't worry, I'll still keep on making ships.) These ground objects are recommended for use with Wrench's latest Korea terrain, as well as Kamchatka and other East-Asian theaters. Please see the readme for full details. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or constructive criticisms regarding this package, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you!
