  6. The standing joke was "high investment, no return."
  7. While talking to an old buddy in California, he brought up the "Battle Of Palmdale" and mentioned exploring the desert crash site of the drone Hellcat in question - he found red-painted skin fragments of the aircraft. A little entertaining reading about 1950s aircraft technology and tactics. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Palmdale
  8. No, at that time I was working on the B-2 project.
  9. Yeah, I could probably work in a WW1 version of the "evil" pilot. I have a Japanese version of the Hucks starter on a Japanese army Isuzu chassis that was released several years ago: http://combatace.com/files/file/14771-1930s-ground-and-terrain-objects/ My current focus on 1937 Shanghai-Nanjing is driving my model activity right now, and - aircraft-wise - it was a Japanese navy show. Japanese army aviation operated further north. Not saying "no," just saying "maybe later." Mapping progress shot below. Still have to map two more Japanese fighters: Nakajima A2N and Mitsubishi A5M.
  10. LOL! As I said before, I'm trying to get many of my old models mapped before the snow falls. I'll spend the winter making skins, and start asking for help with the files come Spring. Volunteers are welcome.
  11. More progress shots as I tinker with the skins and position objects.

  18. Another superb effort.
  19. I worked at Northrop during the late 1980s and early 1990s during the YF-22 versus YF-23 competition. I was told the Northrop YF-23 lost because it emphasized fighter versus fighter trade-offs, while the Lockheed YF-22 emphasized multi-role trade-offs.
  20. Got the Nakajima A4N flying ingame this morning. The China Skies aircraft were some of the first models I made, back in 2008-2010. Its been very satisfying to revisit them, incorporate lessons learned since then, and get them into the game. Still hundreds of hours of work 'til they can be released, but it gives this old geezer something to do.
