  1. Desert Freeze

No problem, I've already started a new campaign, this time flying the F15E. I still consider that I've won the Tornado campaign though, and I'd like to edit my pilot record to reflect this. Where do I find the filed I need to edit?
  2. Desert Freeze

I just started this mission and ended it as soon as I entered the gameworld, and the game still hangs
  3. An American's view of the Brits

It's possible to own shotguns and rifles. Handguns were banned about 20 years ago, but there are still plenty about, if you know the right(wrong) people. Of course, this being the UK, if you let your legally owned gun off in your back yard and damage said drone that's watching you sunbathe naked, you go to jail, all your guns are confiscated and you have to compensate the drone's pilot for the damage... I'd like to challenge the Author to eat a Yorkshire Pudding and see if he thinks that's a dessert
  4. Desert Freeze

Yes there's definitely a ground offensive going on, the SEAD tasking I was given was over an airbase at the Saudi/Iraq border. Once I had completed my assigned mission, I spotted a few T72's around a nearby army base and was about to drop iron on their heads when they got taken out by friendly tanks.
  5. A little update, I applied the same mods to the SF2 A5-A as I did to the Thud, but the old useless HUD remains. I think there are extraneous HUD files in the cockpit folder for the series 2 bird that it reverts to using, in spite of the INI edits.
  6. Yes, fond memories of that sim. Accurate lofting of dumb bombs with CCRP, anyone?
  7. Got it working in SF2, using The Mirage Factory's A-7K HUD and radar textures. Thanks for the concise instructions.

  13. You make me wish I still had a windowsXP partition.
  14. I just tested this, My wingie took off with lights flashing, then I skipped to the IP where they were turned off. This was in a thud over mescalero, 2230 HRS
  15. I set load limit to 630... no effect. Then I tried the aircraft in a new ODS install, where the Pave Tack pod appears in the loadout screen, in place of the forward ECM pod station, and works as advertised. So I copied the ODS F111-F folder to my Europe install. Thanks for all the suggestions.
  16. I don't have the Weapondata.ini extracted, but using the weapon editor to view the pod, I can see the data already matches what you've listed above, yet still it doesn't work. I found a workaround though, adding a new sensor to the F111-E ini file at least got me a guidance system for the LGB's, even though it lacks the model of a designator pod. I'm beginning to remember I had similar issues with this back in WOE days, and I managed to fix it then, it's just a case of remembering what i had to do to make it work.
  17. This was really helpful, thanks yubba.
  18. Does anyone use this, and what are your results? Do I still need it on Win7X64? The latest version is for XP, would it work?
  19. This is the same aircraft as the original picture, 55th TFS F-111E 68-074. Although the angle means you can't see the tailcode... Also the standard SF2:E weapons pack lacks the smaller drop-tanks and dummy MK82's. Terrain is Photo-Real UK.
  20. F111-F 1996 - I can load LGB's on the wing pylons but there's no designator pod. I thought this plane had 1 built-in but it doesn't seem to work for me, and I can't load 1 in the loadout screen.
  21. Back in the day... Buccy doing what comes naturally I had planned a lofting LGB attack on a heavily defended storage shed, but I think they saw me coming
  22. Yes, ironically I found it shortly after posting
  23. Really liking the green/grey scheme, Spinners. Is it available for plebs?
  24. I'm back, kind of. I've only just got my first SF2 title (Europe), forced upon me by having to go to windows 7 a year ago. I was 'grounded' by work, marriage, children, and life's generally-bumpy road. Previously I had a fully merged 'WIngs Over xxxxx' NATO fighters 4 install and played it to death, even in the presence of more technical sims like Falcon and LOMAC occupying my HD at the time. Back then, the attraction was that I could fly pretty much what I wanted, where I wanted, and no matter what I was flying, the same joystick buttons did the same thing in any aircraft. Even if I only had 30 minutes to spare I could skip to the good bits and still enjoy it as much as a 90-minute wheels-up to engines-off kill-athon. And the same seems true now, along with prettier graphics It's about the only thing in flightsim-ing which has stayed the same AND got better while I've been away, and I love it just for that.
