  1. if you cant find anyone by the spring, and if you know anyone who would be willing to listen to my many questions, and if (yea i know alot of ifs) you know anyone who would convert it to 2009Max from blender i would be willing to give it a stab in the spring. taking a course on 3D modelling starting in January and who know i may be able to double dip it for the community and as a class project. in EF-10B form it would be valuable for Vietnam installs as well.....
  2. Huge Freakin Storm!

hopefully they're ok. it aint exactly good times up there right now and will likely take a few days to get basics of life let alone modern life going.....
  3. nah turn the tinfoil to chaff, fire it at the missle. see if it sparks and catches fire like a normal microwave..........
  4. Huge Freakin Storm!

stay safe veltro and fubar. hope to hear from you guys in the morning.
  5. @ WBS, i know the straight deck Essex were used that way later in life. just havin difficulies with that other site (not that i'm suprised) @colmack agreed the Midway's had each their own shape and history. Even Coral Sea bein at the other site doesn't make up for no Midway or Rosie.....
  6. are you working on anything from the Iwo Jima class LPH's? i believe the Wasp was used for trials as Sea Control ship and it would make a interesting naval what if for escort duty. would still make for an interesting alternative to the LHA's and be useful in a RSR type mod and i still want the Midway
  7. and i like mine better...... though your screenie reminds me i gotta add the ANG badge
  8. most Gen1 birds (not all, most) will show in Gen 2 and be semi functional. to be fully functional they certainly need tweeking but for AI birds like a B-29, they can pop right in without much goofy stuff. well after adjusting props and decal folders maybe.....
  9. . It falls, travels a distance then goes boom. also a cartoon character originating from the 1930's. smart a$$ in me had to........
  10. Korean Phantoms

ah thats what they all say............
  11. hey Wrench have an idea but would help to know if there is a Saudi Sabre skin out there (or any Arabic country for that matter). mandatory screenie

  13. Kevin, did i miss a release on the B-26 or is it still in progress?
  14. well go ahead and fix it for bullpup sir. i for one wont use em!
  15. budget budget budget. they'll still have a very effective air defence network, just link the older components with modern comm links and upgrade the computers much cheaper than an AWACS (tho admittedly less exciting)
  16. anyone got Doc Browns number? we seem to need the Delorean......
  17. wouldn't think so. by that time every one was ditching Bullpups as worthless.
  18. well it certainly makes a Greek Corsair 2 look better now doesnt it? personally still waitin on slotted stab patch for the N......
  19. try changing the decal level and decalmaxlod values. esp might want to make the decal a 2 level and number it corresponding the squadron in the squadronlist (336th is 043 as i recall). had a similar issue few years back but havent messed with eagles and dont recall how it was fixed. sorry cant be more helpful.....
  20. stingray77, idk what your modding skills are but here is the items to add to the decal.ini so you can add a sharksmouth to VF-111 as a decal. if i get some time off work i will whip up a new sharkmouth for it but i didnt have that decal like i thought i did. but with some fiddling to make it look int your folders and renumbering it will place it for you if you have your own handy, say from a plastic kit decal sheet. lemme know whats up and if you need mor help with it. anyone else using this again you need to rename the file path for your folders and renumber to your decal.ini. its a project i'm working on but my USNGrey with radome decals is more than two weeks off.....
  21. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! got banned from there for forgettin to NOT download WoA and its update on the same day.
  22. for the record, the Mirage pilot in the book was a Dassault test pilot trying to make a sale to a Saudi prince. (the encounter would be important later in the book) prob great at flying technique, but short on tactics. and my only diff is that i would engage after iron on target. them bombs and Mav's slow ya down at bit at the merge dontcha think. of course it would be easier with a 4th gen Viper or Hornet, more so with the Super Bug (4.5 gen fighter?) than in an old St Louis Slugger. but as long as i dont get fixated on a particular target it always brings me home...... just for your dont feel safe flyin an E comment will hafta find and post Manfred Reitch's comments on transitioning back to the Phantom after flyin the Hornet a couple of years.......
  23. in all honesty WBS's work appears to be geared to those with SF2NA. if you cant work that then automactically you likely wont be able to use his boats spec'd out. that said data.ini edit for the different eras for the Essex would be a good idea (WW2, Korea, ASW ships during the 60's) and my final opinion for this post is that we still need Midway class boats!
  24. wondering on you guys take on this but was thinking of a part from The Warbirds where Jack Locke gets invited to fly a stored F-4E against a Mirage 2000. he tools around in the weeds awhile flying a max fuel conservatio profile while the Mirage is looking for him. then when the Mirage is gettin skosh fuel he zooms up gets the gun camera photage and RTB. how workable is just such a scenario esp. when the opponent is far more advaced than yourself? i usually fly A2G myself and first thing when RWR is screaming at me is to get on the deck and go fast (usually 200ft, 450-600 kts depending on loadout and where i am in mission). i usually complete the mission this way and might even get a -23 or two on the way home. wondered how it works for A2A though esp for DCA.
