  1. Hey, it's me again! Thanks to Bazillius I was able to solve the HUD problem. Now, I have another problem: the canards of the J-10 are rotating in the wrong direction. This means, when they have to rotate in the pitch-up direction, they rotate as pitch-down. I had this problem in a couple planes, but since this is the first one I'm going to publish, I want it to be perfect. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, it would be very appreciated.   2. Hi everyone, how you doing? I will go to the point. I am currently working on an Argentinian skin for Erwin Hans' and InSky's J-10A. I want to modify some aspects, like the HUD. Currently, the mod doesn't have a way to show if the missile is locked on target or not (THE CIRCLES THAT APPEAR ON THE HUD), and I want to modify that. I tried changing the cockpit.ini and avionics.ini, but I had to replace with the not modified version of the files because I ended up deforming the radar, and the avionics of course. The plane doesn't have problem when it comes to bombs and cannons, but it has that problem with the missiles. If someone can help me, I will be more than thankful. Have a nice flight, good hunting!
  3. Hello everyone, After spending several days learning and creating new texture for more aircraft. It appears that if I add higher resolution of texture to any existing SF2 plane, the plane appears all black. In order to fix it, I had to lower the resolution to the aircraft default, to make it appear in-game. For example, I made new camo for MiG-15Bis, I saved the camo as 2048 while MiG-15Bis originally have texture at 512 x 512. Unless I save it as 512 x 512, it will appear all black in-game. I do not want to reduce the quality of texture, hence staying with 2048 x 2048. I tried this solution by deleting texture sets in MiG-15Bis.ini, then run SPF2 again. Still show MiG-15Bis being all black. Does anyone know the solution to this problem? As always, thank you for the advice and supports. UPDATE: I did some testing. If I reduce texture from 2048 x 2048 to 1024 x 1024, texture will show up in-game. However, if I want to go HD mode (2048 x 2048 or higher), it will show up as all black in-game. I am still troubleshooting through this, so I can finally get HD texture show up in-game.

  10. I've been working on a skin for the Su-37 Terminator based off of a design from Project Wingman. The skin file, Terminator.bmp, appears to have both sides for the wings, but, when I just put the stars on one side, the part of them that is on the wing ends up mirroring over to the other wing, instead of just staying the way it is in the .bmp file like I want it to. Is there any way I can disable the mirroring so that it won't put the stars on the left wing as well? (I am referring to the top sides of the wings of course)

Hi everyone, im trying to make a Su-30KI mod based on Marc's Su-27 using a SKM cockpit with my own camo skin, and i tried getting the flag of Indonesia on the aircraft in the decal.ini of the skin and i showed nothing so i made a 650 x 400 Jpeg of the flag and converted it to .tga and it was 739kb and it looked like the picture below. so i thought the pic / file must be too big. Then i re made the flag with a 8 x 4 jpeg and it was a 1kb file, and it was the same problem. i tried lowering the scale all the way to 0.003 and nothing changed. But then i notice the default 51D has the Indonesian flag if i change the nation to Indonesia in single mission, soo is there a way to just get the national flag of it and how?

Hi there people, I am trying to make the skin of this Orion capsule that I made some weeks ago, I already finished the entire capsule map, but when I started drawing some lines I realised that they are not straight. I know that cylindrical mapping can lead to distortions (which already happened to me using solids that are not of revolution) but in this case I don't understand why it keeps happening. I also tried mapping the body in chunks with planar mapping but putting everything straight and together without even more distortions seems impossible to me hahahaha. Has anybody some tips about avoiding this, or compensating this effect in the photoshop itself? I would really appreciate it!
  22. Hi all. I want to get into making my own skins for planes. In particular I just want to make like fantasy mercenary skins/decals/factions/nations etc. but I haven't the slightest on how to do this. My current project is to have an air superiority gray F-106 with just some basic black custom number decals and a custom mercenary emblem. Once I figure this out I would love to skin mod base game aircraft such as the F-4C but that is a whole other can of worms because the files aren't even stored in the same place as the .ini so I'm at a loss. Any help appreciated!
  23. View File Su-32 34 Skin Packs This is a set of Camouflages for Su-34 THIS IS ONLY TEXTURE SET and decals, There are no other files in this pack. This set is for persons who have this aircraft. I know that it is difficult to find this model last times. Do not ask me how to get it cuz I do not know. I got this aircraft many years ago and do not know its fate and why it is not available. I tried to make the skins as accurate as possible. But some details missed because of the limitations of the model, some details i was too lazy to tune. As all old aircrafts, it has ugly UV map which is hard to use for texturing. Some early cammuflages can be not accurate too much to real aircraft for some details. There is a long "antiblick" strip over white nose on one photo, and the same aircraft has short strip before gray nose at another photo, one aircraft has "no step" dashes, anothe haven't it etc. Сoloration is often very different from year to year and sometimes from an aircraft to an aircraft from the same serie. If you ask me why there is a chaos in a decal folder, the answer is that there is a chaos only for a first look ;) I used decals from NATO fighters pack and all decals on places which in that pack. I do not like doubles and i do like in my Mod folder. That is why decals not in one folder. Skins was drawn based on outlines by Mariusz Wojciechowski and real photos. http://www.mariwoj.pl/ NEW SKINS: Prototype Su-32 1993 Prototype Su-32 1995 Le Bourget 1997 Russia_1 - Standard modern colors Russia_2 - Standard modern colors with "No Step" marks Serial Su-34 2006 OLD SKINS Aubergine 2011 - old gray skin from pack below looks too black in game. i tuned it and made some decals. Aubergine 2012 - same with color tunes and some different decals for 2012 with "No Step" marks =========== BACK UP you original Su-34 folder first. installation: unpack and copy to your installed Su-34 folder. Be sure to overwrite the decals folder. It is very important! There is a fix for the UV grid of the original model, cause of which the tail had a reflection of the another. All other decals like numbers are not changed and ruins nothing if you overwrite.     This is a set of Camouflages for Su-34 THIS IS ONLY TEXTURE SET and decals, There are no other files in this pack. This set is for persons who have this aircraft. I know that it is difficult to find this model last times. Do not ask me how to get it cuz I do not know. I got this aircraft many years ago and do not know its fate and why it is not available. I tried to make the skins as accurate as possible. But some details missed because of the limitations of the model, some details i was too lazy to tune. As all old aircrafts, it has ugly UV map which is hard to use for texturing. Some early cammuflages can be not accurate too much to real aircraft for some details. There is a long "antiblick" strip over white nose on one photo, and the same aircraft has short strip before gray nose at another photo, one aircraft has "no step" dashes, anothe haven't it etc. Сoloration is often very different from year to year and sometimes from an aircraft to an aircraft from the same serie. If you ask me why there is a chaos in a decal folder, the answer is that there is a chaos only for a first look ;) I used decals from NATO fighters pack and all decals on places which in that pack. I do not like doubles and i do like in my Mod folder. That is why decals not in one folder. Skins was drawn based on outlines by Mariusz Wojciechowski and real photos. http://www.mariwoj.pl/ NEW SKINS: Prototype Su-32 1993 Prototype Su-32 1995 Le Bourget 1997 Russia_1 - Standard modern colors Russia_2 - Standard modern colors with "No Step" marks Serial Su-34 2006 OLD SKINS Aubergine 2011 - old gray skin from pack below looks too black in game. i tuned it and made some decals. Aubergine 2012 - same with color tunes and some different decals for 2012 with "No Step" marks =========== BACK UP you original Su-34 folder first. installation: unpack and copy to your installed Su-34 folder. Be sure to overwrite the decals folder. It is very important! There is a fix for the UV grid of the original model, cause of which the tail had a reflection of the another. All other decals like numbers are not changed and ruins nothing if you overwrite.
