  1. Air Force Birthday

cooler yes. functional, im not so sure. but i preferred the YF-23 back before it was cool (reading the latest updates in AW&ST back in 91), and it has a wider flatter appearance too.
  2. Air Force Birthday

lucky. i tend to get the "oh well i really wanted to serve but....." right after mentioning 21 years being all i could be (yes that was still the recruiting slogan for the Army when i went in)
  3. Air Force Birthday

got into a FB arguement last week because the a fan Carolina Panthers football team posted a pic on their page of "stealth fighter" silohuettes dropping beers. the silohuette was of a Su-57. now, the team is located in Charlotte NC, which has an ANG unit that lies C-17s. local unit and more appropriate for dropping beers. i jsut point out it was a russian jet and the local plane would be a better choice anyhow. guy that posted got into a big arguement with me that i was wrong, they were F-35s, like (and heres where it gets interesting) "the ones stationed at Ft Bragg" (an Army base) "next to the YF-22s at Fayetteville". he knew what he was talking about because he used to be in teh Air Force. i figured it would be a waste of time to point out i was stationed at Bragg for 13 years total, and there were no Air Force aircraft of any type stationed there anymore as the Air Force base reverted to Army control (from Pope AFB to Pope AAF). but yeah, people dont really do much homework anymore
  4. interesting, and suspected. further, changed to 803x a through f and changed thickness of the pilot. but when i ran anything in 80xF outside of 3 or b, the model disappeared in lodviewer
  5. loadmasterin', seeing how much more can be loaded on teh B model than the A
  6. had done some rivets in the past, just got back to it with the latest rendition on teh -141s. cheated and made myself a template with a big straight line, then copy past and shrink . gonna add to it with a big circle of rivets (for round panels, curves and rounded corners) and a couple of angled lines (cause a little bit of definition is lost when you take a vertical line and rotate it to the angle needed) but hats off to you riveters. and a reminder of why i do big birds with very colorful paint schemes
  7. dude, Yugo tank's got TWO Subwoofers! sorry, had to, will show myself out the door now .........
  8. well, A is off to the QA shop, now on to B
  9. why the A2? why not the A5? would say A6 but thats a little further in time than most of us mod (late 90s) still, an A2 spot on for Desert Storm and closer to KFOR and OIF than the current M109 for Vietnam we have.....
  10. green light GO!! one thousand, two thousand, three thousand fo-wer, oh my lord im out the door
  11. i like this. i wouldnt reccomend as a ini release because everyone has seemed to need different settings to get what they want, but for those that can work an ini this is great for clearing up the bottom im set for 1920x1080, but had to set my values as follows [MessageWindow] //BackgroundImage=TextBackground.tga TopLeftPosition=0.01,0.795 BottomRightPosition=0.210,0.825 my adjustments VerticalBorder=0.0015 HorizontalBorder=0.008 also my MaxMessages was set for 8, and i left that rather than drop to 1.
  12. i would like to point out that you are now one of the modders on this site, where upon when i (and likely others) see you've posted within the Mods and Skinning threads, i think "oooooh, whats he got going on now?"
  13. summer of '69, now with stops at Charleston McGuire Dover Travis Norton McChord
  14. just a shot, from late 1965 or early 1966
  15. hold the f^@& up .... are you giving up on hope?
  16. tv sets expectations waaaay too high on just what can be done. take us skinners: how many now laugh their tails off when a character "zooms in" and gets a crystal clear image of the license plate or villians face? if it was that simple i wouldnt spend hours hunting down LARGE (i mean HUGE) pics of nose art and unit patches, and even more hours scratch building images from best looks at the small pictures. you dont lose as much detail scaling down as scaling up my friends and thats a super common skill. the coding would be quite abit more work, even with source code...... for the few that really know how
  17. this day i hope.... to bump this thread up. transport missions and non "bomb" cargo items would still be nice too
  18. does it work stock setting (space bar)?
  19. who was the cat that had a thread about trimming his aircraft folder? had like one folder with damn near every plane ever released? including the multiple versions (the old B-58 AND v2k's newer one for example) he could tell us the limit..........
  20. awesome, your weathering or did the original come like that? more mandatory screenies from todays theme (now in a more appropriate setting)
  21. ok, how'd you get the Airbus to fly doors open, presuming it to be AI? mandatory screenie, or just another day at the DA labs
  22. eastbound and down rollin up and truckin.... we got a long way to go and a short time to get there....
  23. Got a promotion.

soo you got first round at the NCO Club right? congrats
