  1. They do indeed scream sometimes - the Pup pilot yesterday did. Makes you goose skin, doesn't it?
  2. We may never know the exact colours for these old craft, but here is a picture of a model, that looks "believeable" to me - you can only get it "circa" right. For Bullethead.
  3. Great looks! Makes me hope for my new rig to be complete soon - with a HD4870 (2 GB) I should be able to get that quality.
  4. Touched! As if Voss was sitting in front of me, by a piano, in a black&white memory. (Goose skin)
  5. Indeed! Good description for "immersion" here.
  6. Thanks for the info, Rickity - I always thought, that was only WW2 technology.
  7. Wow - I can see all the craters more detailed. How are your graphics sliders set?
  8. ...and I was'nt in the skies over Flanders! But I can't be everywhere...
  9. Your message to them should better read: don't cross streets together, especially not, when a bus comes! :ouch: But hey - are you trying to lure them into settling down in the old age? You should better get some window cleaner's job in Johannesburg and try to find the office of Winder and OBD. You may be able to spy out the latest aircraft!
  10. Oh no - now comes all that "Pol is dead" stuff again.
  11. Yes, will do, when I'm ready, Widowmaker. The worst thing on an Albatros is to make the back pattern meet the fuselage sides patterns. The back seems to be perspectively distorted, as Dej said. Could be true - it's nasty. I have put more pics into "Reports from the front" - another paintjob with the crest and motto of my native homeland Ostfriesland. The motto is: "Eala frya Fresena" which means something like "Stand tall, free Friesen". The word "eala" is Old Friesisch - it must exist in Old English too.
  12. Did the replay state exactly "Leutnant Fliegenhund shot down an Albatros DIII" in all cases? Cause when a victim goes down, and someone else fires only some rounds into that craft, it may become HIS victory. Where your wings still with you at the later kills? Cause when they are dead or downed or far away, they can't witness; and that will mean for those claims: erroneus!
  13. Update 08/29/09 01:10 Berlin time (GMT +2) Roger55, Arizona, added. BOBDAV, Texas, added. the maps are in post #1 of this thread
  14. Great to see them again - and a pity they can't get into BHaH. Also great: the Richtofen - Hawker fight! If you'd also put them into "Screenshots", they would not be lost after a while. Thanks for sharing!
  15. Stump: YES (Wels told me to say that, without knowing, what - Lol!) Bullethead, please DO make an Albatros too. A DV would be great, perhaps for Seefrosta?
  16. Stumpjumper, what do you mean with W4 Albi AI?
  17. Here is an example of my investigation of the colours. I did Photoshop auto-adjust, I tried various contrasts and brightness adjust, but one ends up still with guesswork, of course; especially on the brightness.
  18. Bullethead: The coolest thing, however, was that the Germans invented aradio-controlled explosive motorboat. This was steered by an airplaneand actually succeeded in hitting one of the monitors. Amazing. Radio controlled? No joke? In WW1? Yes, technology is our playground...
  19. Ari, what I meant was the first line, where you normally write your team members in. If you don't have any, try "ground troops military defense 427" for example - the "mil.def." is one of the locations which are mentioned in briefing; could also be "observation balloon at balloon base 623". But chances to get that confirmed seem to be small. Still though - there must be a reason why you get the form; so you could try. I often don't get a form, even when I started with wingmen, but lost them, before I shot down a craft. You will also find, that some claims remain unconfirmed or get refused. That's how it was. If you want it easier, you can always follow UncleAl's advice.
  20. Update 08/28/09 15:20 Berlin time (GMT +2) Aristoteles, Spain, added. the maps are in post #1 of this thread
  21. Welcome, Aristoteles! You seem to have realilsed very quick, that you got the greatest WW1 sim with BHaH. Butwell - with THAT name... Would you please send me a PM with your hometown and country? I would like to add you to our OFF Pilots Map. Thanks! If you get a claims form after the mission, you can try to get it through. Fill in ground troops, ground crew or whatsoever. If you don't get one, you can forget about it. Lone Wolfs never had anyone to witness; no witness - no confirm. If you want, you can pass that Lone Wolf mission by clicking "advance time" in the first briefing window.
  22. Update 08/28/09 14:30 Berlin time (GMT +2) mdripley, Arizona, added. the maps are in post #1 of this thread
  23. Widowmaker, you missed one little hint by OvS I think it was. He said more or less: ...and when we make a DVIII, we must give the crumpets a Snipe. (Well, maybe he didn't say "crumpets" in this special case - but he could have! Lol!)
  24. Hauksbee - please post some more pics of your Hansa-Brandenburg in a new post: someone round here recently asked for that craft. Oh, and: thanks.
  25. MFJ 1, 2 and 3, and the Seefrosta Staffeln where land based fighter squads, in Aertryke and Mariakerke, near the north sea. We have them in BHaH, and I fly with MFJ 1.
