  1. The old fashioned British method has more sympathy, I say. I mean, really - could you imagine to be the judge if that guy had been caught, and you had to bang him into jail? I wouldn't like it.
  2. Vasco, what's your resolution?
  3. Anyone out there, who can tell, that they filmed "Ben Hur" on the sports arena right behind his house, where they have now built a supermarket? BigJim - did they do "No country for old men" in your neighbourhood, perhaps? (Intensive film, by the way).
  4. Hey, that's a good story! And that is exactly, what usually the state does with us.
  5. Maybe, the sorties were not that long? But true - even if you have 1-hour-sorties, and 2 per day, you would have about 6 days - not twelve. And often they had three sorties, and more than one hour.
  6. Hey, griphos! My approach to the right settings was this: 1. my highest screen resolution is 1280 x 1024 Pixel. That is an exact relationship of 5:4 2. I found, that the vertical setting of 20 degrees was fine. 3. so the horizontal setting had to be 25 degrees, to get it undistorted With these settings, the view is very good, and the cockpit feels realistic to me.
  7. Waldemar, Calais - St.Quentin is not too bad. What about Calais - Verdun? I think the program would just go through the available mission type sorties for that time, and we should really make good use of "optional flight".
  8. Fritz Von Schtusselheimer Hahaha!!! These "Hollywood Baron" names you guys come up with - phantastic! BuB, you must get the names right, I think. Carl-August Guhike saw the whole I'm pretty sure, his family name should be "Guhlke" with an "L"; maybe his first name was Karl, not Carl? There is another name, that even I as a German, got wrong for some time - Wittkowski. I read: Willkowski. If you don't get them right, how could the program identify them? I think, apart from that, your reports should do. But you must know, that we Germans have a lot of our claims rejected. Even OvS, one of the devs flying German side, has many rejected.
  9. Scouserlad - you're already in there. Flegmatica - if you give me the town, I'll put you in.
  10. Map updated: 7/15/2009 Yes, it feels good to know, where everybody is, more or less. Perhaps we should have Hasse Wind's location a little bit more exact?
  11. Would be an idea, that. To get out of warp, BEFORE the enemy craft already spot you, so you can decide, what to do.
  12. Stealth, there is much more than just new craft. The AI is so much better now, they really dogfight with you - it's a tough job sometimes! Would you tell, where in Europe you live?
  13. Yes, some tidying up wouldn't be bad - and maybe also, to move the stickies to an extra place, with the exception of 'screenshots' and 'Reports from the front', as there people do regularly post new 'events', so it is rather part of the forum.
  14. badger - it might be, that 'warp' stops, when enemy craft enter your TAC area. Try it out - set it to the max. of 8 miles (Ctrl.+Shift+T).
  15. Hm - seems there is "nix zu machen" with you. Once bitten twice shy. I wish I could convince you - you don't know what you are missing, Stealth, especially when you are into WW1 air combat.
  16. Hey, MikiBzh - are you French? We need more French in the OFF Europe map. But if you are from another country, I would take you in there as well - Welcome here!
  17. Zatt, mein Herr, vould hav been below ze dignity of seiner Majestät! (Lol!!!)
  18. Yes, Lou - I remember your "hangar stunt" still, as if it was last month. Meanwhile, we sure have both become a lot better - and so has OFF.
  19. Right, Old Navy - and if you want to be in the OFF Forum members USA map, PM me your hometown and the state, and I'll put you in there. Bullet - that sort of coffee you describe is probably used for making roads off here - but they call it asphalt. When you in Louisiana drink that and then pee into the bushes - no wonder you have all that swamp land there. The plants literally rott away from that!
  20. Stealth, these are just those Forum people who sent an address yet. Don't know why you come here to laugh your a** off - you may need it one day. And as for the mail: a friend of mine got his copy after ONE week from the USA to Berlin. I have added a USA map now. If you're not in there yet, send me an MP with your town and state.
  21. May depend on the craft - I always did and do land my Albatros with engine on. Coming in, I level out in the last moment. When I'm good, she doesn't jump at all. But for a Nupe, that might be a different story?
  22. Steve Drew: Well, I see we miss out AGAIN because we're on the other side of the planet. It's lonely out here. Steve, you may not be so aware of that, but Australia is to us Europeans like "one of us" - a neighbour, who lives a bit further away, but we have so much in common with, so much a similar mentality.
  23. Ah - Lousy Anna - now I got it! Sometimes my brain seems to be out for a walk. Lol!
  24. Hasse Wind, I'm not so sure, if Göring was really liked. Udet wrote a good line about Göring in his book, but it sounded rather short to me, and Göring was already high up in the Nazi hierarchy, when Udet got the book printed. Steve, that annecdote shows so well, how close human behaviour and desperate fighting lay beside each other.
  25. It's humiliating when your kid shoots you down. You see that absolutely wrong, Condor. It is great, when he is good - he is YOUR kid!
