  1. Tally ho! Edit:: seems like the first part is nowhere to be found. Would you have a new link? And what about the Menu part you are talking about?
  2. Oh my goodness!lindr2, you are the man! Saviour of the forgotten Russian weaponry! Soon, things will be blown up... with style!
  3. Great work (again) ChampionsVA56! Do you plan to pack all the parts in an All In One package once, if ever, you'll be finished? Best regards
  4. Ok, so it has some limitations but can be great if employed correctly. Nothing wrong with that. ;) As a side note, here is an interesting, and certainly entertaining, read: http://www.16va.be/3.6_les_operations_aeriennes_eng.html
  5. Vey nice work FastCargo, that is visually pleasing and may even improve the AI's ability to perform punchy interception missions. Is the modified ini affecting all aircrafts or is it specific to a given formation?
  6. That thread should be re-localized to the KB, it's a pure gem. Lexx_Luthor, you are terrific!
  7. With Google Chrome, with up to dates players, on XP, I was painfully experiencing the same issue. I disabled all plugins I had, without any changes. The relief came when I installed an Ads blocking plugin. I don't want to promote such tools, as I'm not sure that it doesn't negatively impact the site, but that issue was a real pain down there and hard on my nerves as I constantly had to hit Escape key before the page was fully loaded, and so that damned black band. Anyway, I'm glad to fully enjoy CA again.
  8. Hello ladies and gents, my browser can testify that I searched hard but I eventually found no firm answer so, as far as you point me to the exact answer, you can clown as hard as it please if it already exist. In the data.ini, in the [AircraftData] section, does the ReferenceLength of an aircraft have to be with the pitot tube's length, for when it's on the nose of course, included? Another way to ask it would be to know what exactly is the ReferenceLength for? Thanks for your attention and your invaluable input. Best regards.
  9. Thank you Wrench, I feel like Dora the Explorer while flying over such great places. Great initiative "someone" for asking for it ;)
  10. Thanks for your answer about the ini files, and great news about the update, so I'm gonna wait for it to reinstall over SF2I. Would you mind to write somekind of a changelog explaining what was wrong and how you fixed it please? So the greenhorns like me will be able to learn from experimented gents like you? ;) Best regards
  11. Spectre8750, you mean that ini files, ie. "FORMATION.INI", "MISSIONCONTROL.INI", "SQUADRONLIST.INI", "NATIONS.INI", placed in the Campaign's folder have no effect, right?
  12. As far as I know, as I'm no specialist, this is a radar beam-riding stricto sensu, as the (early?) SA-2 were working . About your other questions Squid, I would be glad to vulgarize missile guidance for you if only I would have a clear view and a deep knowledge but I have not so I prefer to not make things sounds more complicated than they by What I would advise you is to that a look at an article about that topic on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guided_missile Yeah, I known, the pedia is often not that authoritative but it offers somewhat understandable answers to your questions. ;) Best regards
  13. Thanks for your answer Kevin. I placed a carrier manually as a target and it showed up. I must have missed something and I should take the time to read the sticked thread by the way. Anyway, here is a bmp that should make a decent Libya_Water file. (Don't download the picture shown as ImageShack converted it to png. Instead, please download the file hosted on Mediafire) http://www.mediafire.com/file/csgk9xhx13a5x5g/LIBYA_WATER.7z
  14. Hello Soulfreak, Lybia should be spelt Libya in your list. Cheers
  15. hello Kevin, thanks for answering. What is that bmp for is not what I'm curious about though, my question was specificaly about Libya_Water.bmp as the mission editor actually seems to work fine already without it, on Libya 3.75. So I'm wondering which subtlety did I not got?
  16. Hi Spectre8750, I'll try again on a pure SF2I installation. By the way, what about the .ini files in the Campaigns' folders?
  17. Thank you very much Prowler1111, that helps a lot. Soulfreak, thank you for that link, I didn't knew that forum. Best regards to you both.
  18. You gents piqued my curiosity, what specifically for the mission editor need the Libya_Water.bmp?
  19. Some details to add, from the horse's mouth: http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=29532#p29532
  20. And having feedbacks from fans to help modders that devoted their spare time to perfect their showpiece is also all inclusive in a community like ours, shouldn't it be? I love the pack you, the TMF, past and actual, released and examining the details is a show of caring, not a will of pointless trolling as we all want things to be perfect.
  21. Great work MontyCz, the model is visually pleasant, the cockpit is functional and, last but not least as it's often overlooked in the mods, the documentation is exemplary! There's a very small typo in the "L-39ZO_USERLIST.INI" file though, as Libya is spelt "Lybia" in it.
  22. Well, your "just for fun WIP" looks very good. I tried to repaint too but the result really looked too cheap, rubbish, like a plastic toy.
  23. It seems that there's maybe a small glitch in the M2000C-S4's ini files, as the ServiceStartYear and ServiceEndYear, are respectively 1988 and 2020 in the "M2000C_RDI-S4_USERLIST.INI" while they are respectively 1987 and 2007 in the "M2000C_RDI-S4_DATA.INI" file. Also, but I'm nitpicking here, the "ExhaustEmitterName" parameter for all versions is set to "DirtyExhaustEmitter" while, from SNECMA, Jane's and other respectable sources, the compression chamber is moke-free by design. However, I changed this parameter to "CleanExhaustEmitter" in my files and I haven't noticed any visible difference in game so either I did something wrong, which is highly probable, or this parameter ain't that important.
  24. Hello Spectre8750, another impressive and instructive work you done there, I'm glad to have it on my disk. However, I'm facing an issue with the CAMPAIGN1 "101220 War For Israel", as whenever I pick a nation under the "United States Navy" , I'm experiencing a CTD. The error message that my OS show me is related to the "campaignscreen.dll", as shown on the below screenshot. My OS is WinXP Pro SP3, my game is a combo pack plus the two expansions and patched to Dec-2010C. I followed the installation instructions to the letter and everything else seems to work fine. Would you know what is going wrong? By the way, I also noticed that in both Campaigns' folder, there are .INI files, ie. "FORMATION.INI", "MISSIONCONTROL.INI", "SQUADRONLIST.INI", "NATIONS.INI" and so forth. Are we supposed to move them to their usual folder or are they automatically "activated" when one choose the campaign? (If so, I learnt something great, again thanks to your amazing work). Best regards
