HI everyone, I'm late to this sim (I happily have Il-2,WOFF, and Rof), and got it for the sole purpose of flying WWI in Italy and Palestine. But, I can't get any mods to work, specifically the Italian campaign or the Palestin terrain. I'm running Win 7, and have indeed placed the mods in my (me)/saved games/thirdwire/firsteagles2 folder, but nothing shows up when I start the sim. I even at one time placed all the files directly into my main install, but no good. Reinstalled vanilla, and still nothing. I am obviously missing something, but I'm da**ed if I know what. Any ideas please?!?!

I was looking to try to fly as billy bishop in QC (and try not to do him an injustice!); in the campaigndata/skins, there are two files there with his name on them, for N17 (lewis), but they don't show up in the choices in QC. I'm sure I've selected the N17 (lewis) plane, and the other skins for the other pilots are there, just not bishop's. any ideas?

oddly enough, I don't seem to have a 'mb' folder in my cfs3 folder. what the ...?!?! I dusted off the disks and reinstalled it, and still nothing. BUT there is a mb folder in the OFF game folder, only it opens up blank when I use Firefox. but internet explorere worked - I see words! (damn computers...!) Now to see if I can do anything with it.

While waiting for P4, I figured I'd kill some time getting into using the MB. But the page that the question mark sends me to is blank. Is it old and no longer supported? Anybody ever make a hard copy?

any hints regarding new terrain - maybe the ridges at Messine or Vimy, or maybe even some stuff over in Italy? I remember flying around an Italy map way back in CFS3 days; is it still available, and is it useful?

I'm trying to fly a DVII in 1918, and I've got no tracers smoke, or anything, even though my SE5 does. Do I have something messed up, or did the Germans not use tracers?

Hi HPW, the description says that this modifies the Less Accurate setting, but the folder structure in the mod shows that it makes the changes to the "Hard" folder in the OBD/WWI Scenery/... folder. Should that be the "Easy" folder instead?

or, how do I get the file that is in the skin folder (Off_Nieuport17_Lewis_t_Bishop.dds) to show up in the game choice menu?

Are there skins available for Bishop? He's listed in the 60th squadron, but not in the skins menu, and I can't seem to find anything for him in the forums. He's one of the top aces in the war; he ought to be represented!

I've got a 8800, with an Intel 8400 chip( I think that's it), and 6Gb RAM in a 2yr old Dell XPS. I've got the configuration settings at 5, except scenery at 4 and clouds at 3, and everything runs and looks sweet. Maybe it's the RAM? Pick up and put in a few more Gb's; how much is it nowadays?
