Fictional mod of Sundowners great Jaguar GR1 to convert it into a fictional fighter plane for the german air force and navy. BACKGROUND The german Luftwaffe was seeking a smaller alternative to the bigger and heavier Tornadoes and Phantoms, especially for CAS-Missions; but it also should have some A2A-Capabilities. The Alpha Jet was taken into consideration, but deemed not suitable for the task imposed. The Mirage F1 was also taken into consideration initially, but rapidly dropped because of the Luftwaffe's "Single-Engine-Doctrine" after the Starfighter-Desaster. In 1976, after having signed an accord between the british, the french and the german government, german pilots had the opportunity to evaluate the aircraft. Two airplanes, a single- and a double-seater, were especially commissioned at 17 Squadron, RAF Brüggen. The results were satisfying and the german government signed an order of 36 single- and 8 double-seater planes, taking the GR.1 as a base. First deliveries started in 1978, being the JBG31 the last one to get it's aircraft in 1979. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the folders into your Objects folder. If asked to overwrite, click yes. CREDITS Big thanks to Sundowner and all other people involved in the creation of this great bird. I also want to thank him for sharing his templates with me and allowing me to release the aircraft. The original credits are also included. ***ORIGINAL CREDITS*** Sepecat Jaguar GR1 For SF2 series. 2 seperate aircraft are in this pack......Jaguar GR1 & Jaguar GR1_DS. This is an updated Jaguar that BPAo was working on just before his death,he had re-mapped most of the fuselage and made numerous other model tweaks but had not made the drop tanks part of the model nor made the afterburners self illuminating as is now the norm in SF2. These parts have been made my me so they are not upto Oli's high standards, in fact any other bits that you find that probably "dont look right" are almost certainly my doing. If you have the old MF Jag GR1 installed I strongly reccomend that you remove or rename it before installing this pack......you might like the old one better. To install just copy the contents of the "Jaguar_GR1 For SF2 series" folder to your SF2 mods [or whatever you call it] directory. Many Thanks to; Oli [RIP] for the original model. Kreelin for the FM work. Moonjumber aka Crusader for the avionics and all his other help. Loudout inis and various data ini tweeks are by me as are the skins/decals and any errors you find. Loading/hangar screen photos taken by me. D_S Loading screen made up from photos found on the web. Enjoy Sundowner [Ant] Sept 4 2011. ************************************************************************************************* Happy flying! ValAstur
  2. I meant the possible emojis of reacting to post at the end of each post. You can choose between like, thanks, sad, dislike and haha.
  3. Thank you very much, folks. I’m feeling honored and moved to tears.
  4. Thanks a lot Eric for your reply. Much appreciated.
  5. Outstanding work with that Cockpit! Unbelievable that this from SF2. If you'd say this is from DCS, I would instantly believe it. @Erik we seriously need a WOW-Emoji for reactions inside threads!
  6. If I received the status by agreement between all people, that lead and keep this site up (incl. the real modders), then I'm fine with it and feel myself honored to be considered like that. Otherwise, I wouldn't feel well because of all the other great people here that really created content and kept the community running with it. Comparing my work with theirs, I'm a "little light" how we say in Germany.
  7. The aircraft in the first pics wears a Norm 83ish camouflage. That was, of course, after 1983. When delivered in 1978/79, it wore a Norm 76-styled camouflage: SEPECAT Jaguar SG, Jagdbombergeschwader 31 "Boelcke", 1979

  15. @Erik Unless it was a decision by the moderators and including modders, I would humbly request to get my "Modder" status revoked, since I do not actively create models but only modify existing ones. Maintaining that status would not be fair to the real modders. Thank you in advance.

  21. Can do. Shouldn't take much time. I already modified the inner pylons enabling them to launch Kormorans.
