This is a mod of Bobrocks Av-8B+ to make it look like a plane from the japanese air self defense force. A skin for the 8th Hikotai is included sporting the two-tone blue scheme. INSTALLATION: Simply drop the Folders into your Strike Fighters Mods Folder. You will need WhiteBoySamurai's JASDF Weapon Pack which you get here: http://combatace.com/files/file/12726-jasdf-weapon-pack/ for some of the loadouts. To enable the plane to take off vertically, you have to adjust the thrust of the four engines by changing the SLThrustDry value from 25000 to at least 33000. But then, the plane will be able to fly more than Mach 1. CREDITS: Many thanks to bobrock and all the others involved in this great model! Also special thanks to Brain32 for adapting it to SF2-Standards. Enjoy. ValAstur
  3. What if, Avions Marcel Dassault simply had plugged a tailhook to the F-1? I guess the result could have looked like this: Mirage F-1CM200, 12F Flottille, R99 Foch, 1980 or like this: Mirage F-1CM200, 11F Flottille, R99 Foch, 1980 Thanks to Stratos for his idea!
  4. View File [Fictional] F-9J JASDF Skin This is a fictional skin for Pasko's F-9J(F9F-8) Cougar which you can get here: http://combatace.com/files/file/9662-f-9j-f9f-8-cougar-for-sf2/ It represents a "what-could-have-been-if" airplane for the JASDF in the 6th FBS, 5th Wing, stationed at Matsushima AFB in the late 1950s. Originally, the squadron flew Sabres. Here's how the plane approximately looked like: http://www.findmodelkit.com/sites/default/files/jd20a.jpg INSTALLATION: Simply drop the Folders into your Strike Fighters Mods Folder. 9. @Russo Why not? The plane still offers a lot of possibilities. I think the MiG-29 is still a fearsome opponent. Maybe not at BVR distance, where russian AHMs and SAHMs are no match to the western ones, but when it comes to dogfighting or, let's say, close quarters combat, she may still deliver a punch. The only real disadvantage from my point of view is the lack of internal ECM systems, needing to carry them on pylons thus reducing the payload. And, she is my second-favourite soviet aircraft after the Flanker(s) @dsawan Maybe I can release the skin, since the basical mod is from TMF, making me need their permission to do so. I guess Russo doesn't have any problems with it, since he is listed in the Freeware licensing agreement AFAIR. But I didn't see TMF members around for a while, so I guess it'll be skin only.
  10. MiG-29K, 4a Escuadra Aeronaval,1999 Great job on that MiG-29K to both TMF and Russo!
