  1. Dutch: My computer arrives on thursday (estimated) I went with the 4870. The computer guys down at the local computer hardware place said that it would be more than enough to handle any ap. or game. Ill post some results this weekend. Hopefully some screenies as well. S!
  2. Will do hauksbee. Saving my campaign pilot for the new rig as well. Just having fun tinkering with all the doodads at the moment. Ok, ok, Enough forum fun for now. I'm off to go play more OFF!
  3. Flying at 100% realism (except auto mixture set to ON). And yes my silly spitfire loops and rolls got me killed on my first couple missions. But i toned it down and just pretended i was in a spit IX trying to shoot down a stuka and flying at 'just above' stall speed. WWI air combat seems much more personal. You really need to get right up in your bandits back seat before you let loose the single (or double if your lucky) mg.
  4. Nice testpilot! I just recieved my copy today as well. My first question was answered in the first line of that sticky that uncleal spoke of. Really enjoying some quick missions so far. Almost seems like cheating flying the sopwith camel. Is that considered an easy plane to fly? She does everything i ask of her without complaint.
  5. cosmos: I live in california. I ordered my copy last week some time. Tuesday or wednesday maybe. Rooster: already having a blast m8. cant wait untill i can run it with all the eye candy!
  6. Just recieved my copy in the mail today! Sooner than i had expected my new computer has yet to arrive!!! Im going to boot up the ol' girl and see what she looks like on my old rig. Cant wait for the new machine to arrive and really put her through the paces!!!
  7. Can't think of a game out to date that could give that rig problems. Looks very nice church!
  8. Thanks for all the replies! Looking forward to the experience. S!
  9. Born and bred on wwii flight sims. Cant say i've ever flown a bi-plane in (virtual) combat. I'm one of many who are awaiting olegs new instalment, storms of war. However, a squadie of mine (in another sim, wwiiol) mentioned over Flanders Fields or (OFF) as i've come to know it. I gotta say that the videos and screenies of this game are really, truely unbelieveable. No serriously. I had a hard time beleiving that they were actual in game shots. Then i started going over the FAQ and features of the game. WOW! I mean if this stuff actually plays like the advertisement suggests i might have found a new home. We shall see. Ordered my copy a couple days ago and am waiting with much anticipation. Just upgraded my computer so that my ati4870 is my bottleneck now. Really looking forward to puting those wwi crate through their paces and seeing just how well some 1940 pilot experience will translate into biplane action. One big question i had that seemed to be overlooked slightly is the multiplayer. Any of ya'll fly coop missions? Seems like a flight of 4 sopwiths against the flying circus would be a blast. Anyway. Just thought i'd introduce myself as "the new guy". Once my copy arrives im sure ill be here every day askin all kinds of n00bish questions. S! gents Clear skies-
  10. Added my age to the list. Although i'm not yet a certified OFF pilot. I ordered my copy just a couple days ago. Not 'officially' a part of the 30+ bracket untill this summer but im always thinkin ahead. S! chaps
