  1. i'm not going to mess with that, i'll leave the sidewinder on the normal pylon for now it works, it kills...
  2. ah ok i thought the pylon could be assigned to a different aircraft it's kinda weird now without a rail, but it works :-)
  3. I want to add two sidewinder stations to the outerwing section of the F5-E. So far I managed to add the right entries as systemname to the wings in the data.ini and created two corresponding stations like so: [LeftOuterWingSidewinderStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=8 StationGroupID=5 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=-3.084,-1.972,-0.395 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=125.0 AllowedWeaponClass=IRM AttachmentType=NATO,USAF ModelNodeName=pylon_AIM9_L PylonMass=45.36 PylonDragArea=0.02 [RightOuterWingSidewinderStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=9 StationGroupID=5 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=3.084,-1.972,-0.395 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=125.0 AllowedWeaponClass=IRM AttachmentType=NATO,USAF ModelNodeName=pylon_AIM9_L PylonMass=45.36 PylonDragArea=0.02 I added the pylon_AIM9_9L as used in the F-16, but it doesn't appear and the sidewinder is floating underneath the wing. Pretty neat, but too sci-fi for now... Maybe I should use another pylon? Any suggestions?
  4. Sorry been out ... flying The destroyed hangars are from the desert terrain, but they're modded. I know i recycled a few things for the desert 3 terrain, mostly airfield objects... I'm not sure if this is a stock one. I tend to lose track after a while. It's the small open hangars under which you find parked aircraft. I'll check the repair rate, that's interesting.
  5. There's the ace of diamond, not 100% historical... the card should be bigger, but the model warps it at the bottom. So I had to make it a bit smaller. Oh well... it works :-)
  6. 200x200 is already much better, still some edges, but not like before 2,8 under wing serials i'll experiment some more up till today i had no idea how to even begin working on decals :-)
  7. well i used the same dimensions i found in the existing decals of the seahawk, which are 128 x128 but if i go for i bigger i guess i'll change the scale in the decal.ini right?
  8. I'm making an attempt to come up with decals for the 806 NAS Diamond Aces for the Sea Hawk. I used GIMP, and so far I wanted to figure out how to make decals for the numbering (see pics). Only when zooming in on the in the game you clearly see pixels, while comparing to those of a stock Hunter, they appear much smoother. I tried with higher resolutions, but no luck.. Any ideas? Maybe I'm missing something... I'm saved it from vector to transparent png in illustrator and then opened it in Gimp and made it into a tga file..
  9. bouncy yes... i'll try to work with those gear values, thanks
  10. I remember reading something about how to reduce bumpiness of landing gear... the new Tornado for instance is quite bumpy when landing and the nose tends to hit the runway and explode is there anything in the data.ini file that can be modified to reduce the bumpiness?
  11. numbering is wrong, it should start at 001 in the decal folder it starts at 001 i had to rename the decals
  12. i missed this one... i'm using the hunter's cockpit though, seems more similar than F-100's
  13. This could be a nice what-if http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumman_F11F-1F_Super_Tiger What if the Super Tiger was chosen over the F-104... Imagine German, Canadian or Japanese Super Tigers... I'm no modeller, but who knows someone out there could be up for the challenge. If Germany would have gone for the Super Tiger, maybe we would have seen Belgian or Dutch ones, maybe even Italians...
  14. thanks didn't work in the fuselage section but it did when i changed it in the nose section :-) all good now!
  15. Does anybody know how to get rid of that part that's blocking the view in HUD? This is from the F-104C cockpit. The F-104G doesn't have that problem. I tried copying the contents of the cockpit.ini file of the F-104G, but nothing. Or is is this related to the model of the F-104C? Obviously I'm talking about the add-on and not the recent DLC ;-) Kinda frustrating to have that thingy blocking the view when you want to get a gunkill... cheers
  16. i was wondering if somebody was working on squadron-specific skins for the dlc... i'm kinda missing the skins i had in the earlier F-104C add-on. i'll prob have to get the add-on back and rename it so i can use it next to the dlc...
  17. I have yet to install the latest patch... but if these problems are mod-related then TK cannot be held responsible. Mods are always at your own risk. I doubt that he has the time to fix mod-related problems while he has a company to run and more importantly he needs to keep it afloat. Otherwise it's bye bye sf2. Are these freezes only for the WW2 mod or are stock campaigns also affected?
  18. so here's new skinning and weathering of the old model... i redid the panel lines since they were a bit too thick in the original skin imo and made the bird a bit more dirty it's be great to have an updated model of course, but for now...
  19. yeah i had to distort the insignia on the air intake as it gets warped a bit... but i didn't use it as a decal, i just pasted it in the skin and distorted it a bit so that it compensates for the warping it's still not 100%, but it's ok (kinda...) well for now i just want to reskin it at a higher res and have some fun with weathering but an updated f-11f would be a nice addition of course :-)
  20. ok... well if any modeller wants to volunteer :-) i'm only using the model as an exercise in making templates and weathering but it's be nice if it could be corrected the pilot positioning is also a bit off i think, he's too close to the seat...
