  1. I think it would be great fun to have 2 teams of pilots, and one side escorts bombers and the other defends against them. Sort of a mini-Battle of Britain style. Maybe some English Channel Kampf action. British fighters defend against HUN fighters trying to stop Allied shipping from reaching the French coast. Inspiration for missions..........will do a little research on that myself. Am going to read "Bloody April" next. Will keep my thinking cap on. Or is it my "drinking cap"......
  2. As we were flying, Firecage and myself along with SittingDuck, we decide to create a Mission On The Spot. Defend against Gotha Bombers over London. We flew SE5a. They flew Gothas, DVII, and DR1. The fiendish Huns target....?............a Lingerie Factory along the Thames. We had to defend King, Country, and (ahem) Corsets! We were victorious to the last. We beat back the fiendish HUN. They strove valiently to deprive the maidens of the Kingdom of their undergarments. Our fliers were victorious, and their reward was granted to all, by those dear maidens of whom we defended. God Save The King.........................and His bountiful bevy of beautiful maids.
  3. Thanks to SittingDuck, and Macklroy................we had a great time. Flew A Bridge Too Far Mission, and Mack scored the bridge!!!!!! I had a few victims .............I think SittingDuck bagged a few HUN as well. Good fun all around.
  4. Just wondering if anyone was interested in flying this afternoon................say around 1200pm CST? I'll be on TS around then. Thanks
  5. Might be the best reason to practice this stuff!!!!! As the game gets a little more realistic....................flying will take a little more effort. Maybe not as close as SittingDuck and I tried yesterday......but within a good visual of each other. I am available most early afternoons through the week. Let me know
  6. You have a good idea. However, it will cost you....... I had to send to SittingDuck an endorsed BlankCheck................. He's more expensive than the wifey!!!!!!!!!!!! I think SittingDuck is the can-do-man...............................
  7. Today............with SittingDucks help, I am able to HOST. His patience and knowledge was fantastic. I was able to set my router, foward the port and allow players to connect. Thankyou again, Kingkat We also K^&&%$D some British Fliers today too!!!!!!!
  8. Hope its NOT the dentist!!!!!! Just not my favorite doctor.......................bad childhood experiences....................... Hope to see you
  9. I shall connect on TS this afternoon, around 1100am CST. IF anyone is available for flying, lets give it a go. IF anyone can help with hosting a game , I would be willing to try that as well. Hope to see you in the air..........................Kingkat
  10. Exactly Mac!!! Watching each others "six", confirming kills, learning which way to "break" at enemy aircraft. All this stuff helps in combat. Team Tactics..............yea that's the stuff!!! Let me know when and where..............
  11. I think its a GREAT idea. I am always open for better ways to fly and follow other planes. I think it would be a good idea to fly in pairs and get used to that as well. After the last mission, I think it was called, "Lawn Darts From The Great War"........I know I need a little more practice.
  12. Small Addendum: After a quick yet decisive skirmish, we were victorious over the Englanders. The Sopwith Pups were no match for our Albatrosses. Victory to the Fatherland. Pilot:Kingkat
  13. I believe I bagged an "Englander" for breakfast today! JA! It is very satisfying that One can shoot down an opponent in the air in combat! And not just waste bullets in the air! Great fun guys..................thanks to Macklroy,Axgrinder,Av8er,BurtningBeard,Firecage,and others. great times!!!!!!
  14. Ax..............its about noon here in TN, so I'll try and connect with you on TS in about an hour,or so. Maybe you can help me with what I need to do to "host". I'd like to do that from time to time. see you in the skys.................Kingkat
  15. I used to game with a group of players from England, and the Netherlands a few years ago. It was always early afternoons, from about 1100am CST to about 300pm CST. It was their early evenings so it worked quite well. If all goes well, having AT&T U Verse System installed Monday, Tuesday I should be up and connected. I will try to connect on TS around 1100am CST. Flying in the afternoon beats watching SOAPS...........................Kingkat
  16. I live Tennessee, and thats Central Standard Time. I believe its also about 6 hours earlier than GMT. I will be available most days, next week most likely Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. From about 1100am CST thru 400pm CST Just thought if some of you might be around,we could get together and fly some missions, and practice flying skills. If someone could help, I would be willing to HOST if it ain't too difficult. HotNess.......... ...........that's one of the BEST offers I've had in a LONG TIME!!!!!!!........... Not sure if I know how to convert my USD into Pounds Sterling...........
  17. Just wondering IF any of you might be around early afternoons weekdays? I shall be available most afternoons, and would like to get together with a few of you and fly. Nothing too serious. From say 1100 CST to about 1500 or 1600 CST. I know I need a LOT of PRACTICE! Enjoy this Thanksgiving Day ...................Kingkat
  18. MAN..........I could have used one of those the other night!!! I was as lost as last years Easter eggs!!!!!! Smaller grids sound good. I support it.
  19. MP Then & Now. MP Then.....3 (hit and miss ) MP Now.................9 (internet connects better) Online glitches (mismatches, jitters, etc.). 8 (few mismatches, but solvable; Frame rate good, no lag or slide show effect Ease of joining MP games. 7 (Maybe be my system, but a few times have to try BOTH interfaces before connects) Online hosts. 10 (patient, and couteous to everyone.......even us newbies) Types of MP missions being flown. 8 (only flown a few, but very realistic AFAIK) Attitude and behavior of online players. 10 ( a great group ..........again very patient and understanding;always helpful with issues) It has been a great experience so far, and I hope to continue flying with all of you!!!!!!
  20. Hey Axgrinder..................I heard someone say they had their "guns" set to strongest in the Workshop...? Anything else I should re-set in there? Flying mostly DiD settings. But can hardly hit anything. Thanks.....................enjoyed Tues evening.
  21. Shall try my level best to join this evening.
  22. Tuesday evening.................November the 17rh.........................around 730EST.......................AFAIK, I should be able to make it. However wifey said something about "moving a few pieces of furniture around", so we can entertain during the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday!!!! Do they ever quit moving stuff around the nest? It looks just fine to me.
  23. Same here. Just waiting for the "Buy Now" button to work! The wifey doesn't know that I've scrimping a little here and there from the household money for this expansion.
  24. That sounds great sittingduck. I just need a little instruction thats all. Today,as I sat on the airfield waiting to take off, I couldnot help but look from side to side at the aircraft. Like Maclroys pic, it was just awesome. As I waited for the go signal, I got so nervous, my hands were sweating. Honestly I had to keep wiping them off as I flew. I began to worry that I would screw up, or get lost, or fail to help the squadron. FEAR, absolute fear. Must have been something back then. I really enjoyed today.
