  1. My Twins Playing Ball

"WRIGHT-PATT". Would their school happen to be near a certain Air Force museum?
  2. "Weapons Pack 2 vers 1.0" by ravenclaw_007 has the Penguin listed under its US designation AGM-119A. There is both a "WeaponDataType=1" IIR Homing variant and an SF2:NA "WeaponDataType=7" ASM variant in the pack. Be sure to credit ravenclaw_007 if you use it.
  3. GoG did it again!

You beat me to it by a minute smokey.
  4. Try this, open the missing aircraft's folder and look at its main INI file. Under [AircraftData] is it missing "CockpitDataFile=" entry missing?
  5. What SF2 titles do you have and which aircraft do you think you are missing?
  6. To make some of the Migs flyable try these two. http://combatace.com/files/file/12684-mig-15-mig-15-bis-mig-17-cockpit/ http://combatace.com/files/file/9488-mig-21-complete-pack-sf2-18/
  7. Link to SF2 at ThirdWire. It is presently 10% off. https://store.thirdwire.com/project_sf2.htm
  8. Do335, how much are you using from the "SF2 Korean War Era Misc Items" pack?
  9. I did not just mean the ones in those links, I meant a look over and edit of the data.ini for every ship you are including in the pack. It would not interfere with any other mods as KAW is meant for a standalone install.
  10. Yes it does. It is running in my SF2:NA mods folder. It will appear as a terrain named "Range" that you can select in the single missions screen.
  11. Try the "SF2 Mescalero Proving Grounds - All-in-One 1.0" link to download page below. http://combatace.com/files/file/11877-sf2-mescalero-proving-grounds-all-in-one/
  12. Do you want me to do a pass over the Data INI files for the included KAW ships? Also I found two different KAW AD-4NL downloads. Whats it the difference? SF2 KAW AD-4NL Skyraider (3W) SF2 KAW Era AD-4NL Skyraider (by MontyCZ)
  13. I believe you should be able to have a non moving gunsight element and also have a separate sight component that will adjust from default depression when AG Rockets or Guns are selected the level of depression being in accordance with the entries "RocketDepression=" and "GunDepression=" under the [GunsightFront] section of the cockpit.ini file. Taking a look at the F-8 and F-5 cockpit.ini files and testing them in flight might be helpful.
  14. Greetings From Androidland

Piecemeal, is your gaming rig completely out or do you think it could be fixed by just replacing one or two components like the PSU or the GPU?
  15. I just noticed that in the "Options->Gameplay->Mission Start Position" drop down menu only gives me the options of "In the air, near target" and "On the ground, at home base". The third option "In the air, near home base" is not displayed. Any ideas what could cause this or how to fix it?
  16. Thanks for the info. I remember having that option when I first started playing SF2 and was just reminded of it while playing FE2 and so I thought I had done something to break that option. I had no idea that TK had removed the option.
  17. Pardos Push (F-4 Vietnam)

This is not the first time I have heard about a jet pilot pushing a fellow jet to safety. I think this story must have circulated during Vietnam because I remember hearing a story of a Navy F-4 crew who pushed a fellow F-4 out over the Gulf of Tonkin so they could eject. They did the same thing with the tail hook. The pilot of that crew mentioned that he got the idea from a story he had heard of an Air Force pilot doing it. Unfortunately I don't know what documentary I saw it in. Also in an episode of Dogfights F-86 pilot James Robinson "Robbie" Risner pushed his wingman Joe Logan out over the sea so that he could eject after Logan's fuel tanks were damaged by flak. Unfortunately in that case Logan go tangled in his parachute lines and he drowned. Link to the Dogfights video at the time index of the event provided below.
  18. It has been a long time since I played IL2/Pacific Fighters but as I recall the AI has perfect trim settings at all times, hence the difference in performance between player and AI controlled aircraft. However you will have to talk to someone more experienced with IL2 than me to find out how to fix it.
  19. Try the attachment below and see if you get the smoke you want. Place the effect into your Effects folder and the gun into your Objects\Guns folder. Gau8FireEffect.7z Gau8FireEffect.7z
  20. File Name: SF2:NA Nelson Class Battleship File Submitter: KJakker File Submitted: 19 December 2014 File Category: Battleships ------------------------------------------------------ HMS Nelson class battleship Ver 2.0 ------------------------------------------------------ By YEYEYE & KJakker --------------- DESCRIPTION --------------- This update of the Nelson class battleship by YEYEYE improves the appearance of the 40mm Bofors & Pom-Pom mounts. It also fixes an issue with previous version of the Nelson that caused the ship to sink from only a hand full of light hits no matter what the "StructuralFactor=" in the Data.INI file was set to. The ship also now has proper Engine Power, EmptyMass, Armor Thickness, Radar Range & Radar Frequencies, and all gun mounts have been given their correct Field of Fire, Rate of Train, Rate of Elevation, and Ammo Capacity. Note: Three "Data.INI" files for the Nelson class have been included. The Alt1 and Alt2LR data.ini variants use alternate guns from the default file. The Alt2LR is the same as Alt1 but has special long range 16 inch and 6 inch guns. --------------- INSTALLATION --------------- Extract all the files(sounds, object, effects, etc) from the archive to your StrikeFighters2 folder. --------------- CREDITS --------------- Ship basic model, Multiple-LOD, Damage model, Skin by YEYEYE. New Data INI files and the guns listed below are by KJakker. 2pdr_MkVIII_HVT 4.7IN_40_QF_MkX_H 6IN_BL_MkXXII 6IN_BL_MkXXII_LR 16IN_L45_MK1 16IN_L45_MK1_LR 20MM_L70ww 20MM_L70wwL 40MM_L56 40MM_L56L Guns below are from the "ETO/MTO Naval Units Pack". 6IN_MKXXII 16IN_MKI QF4.7AAGun Guns below are from the "Guns Collection for SF2 Series 2.0" by FLOGGER23. 2PDR_TYPE_S 20MM_L70 40MM_L60 Effects are by Stary or based upon Thirdwire. 22. The "Fort-12.LOD" does not have the "Fort-12.bmp" texture properly assigned.
  23. Those are the WO/SF1 variants of the Udaloy and do not have the correct data.ini structure for post SF2:NA installs, I would recommend removing them. Go to the SF2 download section and get the two downloads pertaining to the Udaloy class that I have linked below. http://combatace.com/files/file/12800-udaloy-class-upgrade-package/ http://combatace.com/files/file/14526-udaloy-i-ii-class-data-file-modupdate/
  24. where can I get this game?

Which game? You forgot to mention the title in your post.
  25. I have done an experiment to get "First Eagles 2" objects into "Strike Fighters 2" and would like to ask if anyone would be willing to try it and corroborate my findings? To do this experiment you first need to own legal copies of both FE2 and SF2 5 full/merged. Next you need to do the following procedure. Copy “AvionicsWWI.dll” and “wwiComm.dll” from “C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\First Eagles 2\Flight” to “C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2\Flight” then do the same for “wwiCambrai.CAT” and “wwiVerdun.CAT” from “C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\First Eagles 2\Terrains” to “C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2\Terrains”. Now for the complicated part, extract everything from your SF2 ObjectData004.CAT, ObjectData005.CAT, ObjectData006.CAT, and ObjectData015.CAT. You will need to place these extracted .TGA files into your MODS directory Decal folder as these CAT files will not be available when you are done. Then take the four ObjectData CAT files that you just extracted everything from, and move them from the “C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2\Objects” folder to a safe backup folder elsewhere on your hard drive. Next copy all four ObjectData CAT files from “C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\First Eagles 2\Objects” to a separate safe folder. Once copied, rename the copied FE2 CAT files to match the four CAT files that you removed from the “Strike Fighters 2\Objects” folder, like so… ObjectData001.CAT ----> ObjectData004.CAT ObjectData002.CAT ----> ObjectData005.CAT ObjectData003.CAT ----> ObjectData006.CAT ObjectData004.CAT ----> ObjectData015.CAT Be careful about the renaming due to both the old and new file names having one file named "ObjectData004". Now cut and past the renamed copies into “C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2\Objects”. We are now done with the Install directory. At this point I recommend that you copy the stock Aircraft, GroundObjects, Guns, and Weapons from your FE2 mod directory and paste them into the SF2 mod directory that you intend to use for the experiment. I have attached the FE2 stock Aircraft, GroundObjects, Guns, and Weapons INI files if you don’t want to go through the trouble of generating them yourself. If all the above worked out, you should have the “First Eagles 2” stock Aircraft, GroundObjects, Guns, Weapons, and Terrain available for use in SF2. Please let me know how this works for you. Note1: You may need to extract everything from the terrain CAT’s “wwiCambrai.CAT” and “wwiVerdun.CAT” into your SF2 mod Terrain folder to fix some terrain issues. Note2: In order to get a fully working FE2 install, not just having the objects, weapons, and terrain available requires a lot more extracting and editing of FE2 INI files for SF2.
