Me: F-16C Blk 50 with 2 x AIM-9X and 2 x AIM-120, gun, 300 gal centerline tank Opposition: Mig-29A with 2 x R-27 and 4 x R-73, gun Started off neutral and turned around, dipping my nose more than normal (surefire to test the maneuverability of an aircraft is to just jump in...) but we managed to point our noses at each other. I wasn't sure if he fired but I dispensed flares just in case. He overshot and I turned into him with him heading north. I turned into him and got a little disoriented but I felt I had a good shot from behind so I took it, splashing the MiG-29. Takeaways... Well can't evaluate much after a 49 second fight but I did realize I can't pull the stick harder (again mostly a Super Hornet driver) but that may be because of the tank. In any case the MF Viper is solidly done in my opinion as it wasn't difficult to down the Fulcrum.

  5. 1. Not all, but tried one and got it working 2. Fixed the burner effect and now I know what to do... Only problem is that the flare effect... Is that added where? data.ini of each aircraft as it seems it's a global, not airframe specific. 3. N/A
  6. I'd doublecheck your stations though as the JDAM and Mav have HARM pylons... And not what I would consider a good CAS loadout, you can do that with all regular stuff and be effective, but that's just me

Me: F/A-18F with 2 x AIM-9X and 8 x AIM-120 Opposition: Four F-5F Tiger IIs with gun and IRIS-T Well... it started off neutral and by the time I turned into them all four were literally pointing at me like daggers. It had been a few days so my mind had to shake off the rust as I got over the initial shock and got down to business. The first order of business: Cut down the opposition. I managed to maneuver on my first kill, firing a 9X killing it. Moving on to the next one that was moving northwards then sharply turning to the east, with me firing a 9X. By this time the third Tiger II was coming up on my rear trying to setup for either a guns or missile kill, so I went vertical with him overshooting me. Somehow I got behind him (or the fourth) and went for an AMRAAM kill. Well... I missed due to the fact that the Tiger II was really close and the AMRAAM couldn't maneuver fast enough. Okay fine, I then overshot and broke out by going over the top out of a possible solution and managed to reacquire and shoot him down. The last one... not sure what was on his mind as he stayed low while I maneuvered unsuccessfully for another AMRAAM kill. Managed to go over the top and finally nail him. Takeaways. The F-5 in all it's variants is a tough plane, and very hard to see, even with IRIAF camo applied. It's small size allows for misjudgement at speed and had the third Tiger been more on the ball I would have gotten smoked easily. That and the fact that at the very start all were pointing right at me. Not something that makes you happy but even the Tiger can best the heavier fighters if in the right situation.
  11. Okay... I thought the Object Texture setting wouldn't make a difference but I had Effects on Medium... Another bug. Not so much a showstopper but doesn't look cool with the lack of burner, etc.
  12. Quite simply that as far as I know the Sniper pod has issues mainly with the design. The ATFLIR, Litening, etc. require some sort of way to prevent damage when launching from a catapult and with all that crap that assaults (grease, etc.) it would impair the lens. THen again I don't know what the status is though it was yes, tested. Despite that the Navy loves the ATFLIR anyways but it would be reaall nice if it did. Third the ATFLIR on the aircraft itself is part of the 3D model, so if the Navy does adopt it, then I'd have to contact VicRomano and see what I can do.

  14. Okay is it just me or the afterburner and flare effects are still messed up? Or do I have so many effects mods that with the Jun/Jul patches I can't see them?
