  2. Looking nice Spinners! If you need a "blank" one without the roundels for any more projects let me know... Really starting to fly the Phantom a lot more, particularly the E version. Which is very strange since I hardly use the gun except for practice SEAD flight coming around.
  3. Ahh well good point... I don't know the particulars on that side but I've used some FN and Thales equipment so gotcha
  4. Actually I do like it a lot as the mountain ranges are nice and it's not heavy on the frames, good clean flying fun
  5. http://combatace.com/topic/62260-steel-tiger-problem/ This may be the fix, check it out.
  6. It's not SF2E or any game specific as it;s designed to work with ALL games as all the files are inclusive. Maybe because you put it in the SF2E folder you're getting the glitch
  7. Southern California. Ejecting flares after dropping another JDAM on a target. A Strike Eagle drops a JDAM on a SEAD mission in Southern Iran while the wingman comes around for its own pass.
  8. @Wrench I got a load of Iraq pics too (like a couple thousand of mine and some from others though mainly at ground level) if you need them. @Profi I don't have a clue man as I run only SF2E and obviously I have no issues. But there should be no issue with merged installs in any case so I really don't know. How did you install it?

  10. Not really since the US military does use foreign made equipment just it's not as common as other militaries.
  11. The F-15E handles just fine as you got to realize that the Strike Eagle wasn't designed to turn and burn like a Hornet or Super Hornet. As well as the F-14 as both the -15E and -14 are not light planes so consequently they handle as they do.
  12. I know I've slowed down work on it but I've been thinking about doing that so it'll come around. Fox 1!
  13. Dude seriously the A-10 is the cat's meow in Afghanistan, and while it was initially designed for anti-tank close support it's definitely the beast when it comes to supporting the grunts on the ground. But let's get back on topic... Seems an interesting idea for sure though... the more fun they can have the better...
  14. What it boils down to is the maker's responsibility to make sure to note any changes, not the Admin's or Moderators. If you're going to update it then you should let people know rather than just fixing it and not telling people. Do people not see this???: File Name RF-4E Pack for SF2 vers1.0 by ravenclaw_007 Submitted 26 January 2011 - 05:32:35 AM Last Updated Yesterday, 01:34:09 PM File Size 156.88MB (Estimated Download Times) Views 530 Downloads 256 Support Topic Click here to visit support topic Or the "Watch this file" Button which I assume that once a file is changed that the requestor merely gets an email notification based on his or her settings?
  15. The problem with your carrier in the Gulf is that you have to go to Iran to prove a point of not messing with your cruise. Then you have to go to Afghanistan and drop a bomb on some HVT who just doesn't get the picture...

  17. Beautiful shot but I still prefer Shrikes
  18. It's in the FlightData.cat. Go to the Downloads section and find "CatPack" and that'll allow you to extract the files for modding. Sorry it's in the Utilities section....
  19. I think yes and no. Yes because it's a demonstrator aircraft and therefore the capabilities are of course unknown. No because you have to take it seriously because while we're dropping tons of bombs in Afghanistan we still have to look forward and hopefully not get caught flat-footed. Same with the PAK-FA. Looks cool but really is it as capable? Time will tell and we gotta be ready for that time when it is a concern.
  20. shock and awe

In 2004 my Troop got individual replacements so it's still going on and I think my Company got a couple too but all of my FOs were prior to going to Afghanistan. But the timetable is relative to the unit though and not specifically always true as two of my FOs showed up a month before deploying and they came along for the ride. Though to help them (and the others since me and my FSO were the most experienced) we trained weekly (if they weren't on patrol) so it can be done. And I'll agree on that last part as having been both to Iraq and Afghanistan you see Soldiers do the most amazing and phenomenal stuff these days (SSG Guinta one of them) and all are part of the "wussy" generation. CrazyhorseB34 has hit it right on the head. And since I've been in since 1998 I don't miss shining my boots or pressing my uniform. Not because I'm lazy or a sh!tbag but I got better things to do than constantly shine stuff that gets messed up. Because one day in the motor pool jacked them up anyways which made me wonder what the whole point of shining your boots and messing them up was anyways. Screw Kiwi and hello soap and water and a washing machine. Time moves on and so we all have to. And as far as Walter Reed, SGM/CSM Jurgensen was my HHT 1SG during Iraq. Dude took an AK round in the tooth and kept on trucking. Couldn't talk but he was still taking care of business and I forgot what leg got blown up to the knee but if you see him walking you may notice but I never did when he came back. Though he was older that's something to look on too...
