  1. +praying usually helps sometimes too
  2. Should be in the campaigns folder under that campaign. If not check the Menu folder.
  3. It could also mean how many friendly units are there too, usually that is a ratio of AAA sites, and how many are setup as "AAA". The more you have, the less some systems will show up, as there are only so many slots available and the game assigns them on it's own whim. So to do this you have to have some as "RARE" and that will hopefully allow the Gepard to show up.
  4. You might also look at #30 in regards to the HUD ladder. http://forum.combatace.com/topic/44026-converting-older-planes-to-work-in-sf2-a-basic-guide-by-migbuster/
  5. Yup, along with "CM Rejection"
  6. Of course, but the problem is that the enemy radar may be more powerful than your jammer, therefore you can still get shot at, but as a whole yes, it does it's job, and allows you to get to places defended by SAMs. Matter of fact once I reconfigured my stick with more countermeasure focus, my survival rate of course went up. Problem is though, even if your jammer is very strong, there is what is called "burn through", i.e. the SAM radar overpowers your jammer, and then can still lock on you. Fact is there's a ton of online references that deal with it, since in some cases the tactics used in real life work in the game, to a degree. So basically you get a hit or miss proposition when dealing with jamming, SAM capabilities, etc.
  7. Good point, like Battle of Britain 70, you'll be fighting Soviet MiG-23s and such rather than French jets, but then again if you take the time you can make that happen.
  8. Ahh well... that's fine, I'm sticking with yours for now, it's just beautiful
  9. I've been lazy on upgrading to Win7 due to the fact that without SP2 Vista, my computer is stable, but good to hear when I do get Win7
  10. Talk to JAT81500, he's working on it as I sent him a model.
  11. You can use CatPack to extract the VietnamSEA.ini and the IsraelME.ini and edit them accordingly Or download eburger68's Vietnam Ground War Expansion for SF2V and knock it out that way.
  12. still even the default one is good, so it's hilly enough for my tastes
  13. [AllowedDates] StartDate=8/2/1964 EndDate=4/30/2012 It'd be in your main ini file, such as this taken from my "VietnamSEA.ini" file. Adjust it as above and you'll get the usable years.
  14. Well nobody said that game logic versus real world logic totally matches. Overall if you're not paying attention anyways the SA-10 will snatch you up. Any conscious thought of where it is, and you have a reasonable chance of success. Guess until real pure pursuit logic works itself out, or is correctly modeled, you'll have to deal with it.
  15. That is a big problem.. and come to mention it, I noticed a flight of Escort planes make it through GermanyCE without getting picked off by SA-10s (however were shot down by other SAM types) despite the numerous "SAM Launch! SAM Launch!" calls. Guess it's time to find an SA-10 site and get shot at.. Actually looks strange for a intercept geometry. It theoretically could be that the missile is acting like it's "level" and trying to intercept you the old fashioned way rather than making a direct line of sorts to you (as a VLS missile should). So it could be game logic that's throwing it off, as it's trying to lead you but it's not making the intercept due to the initial launch trajectory. And with a turn rate of 20g, it should be able to make the turn towards you easy. You jamming by the way? or are you not?
  16. No worries man, I haven't really messed with viewlist.ini editing other to adjust the zoom level on the cockpit view.
  17. AIM-120 on Hornet wingtips?

True enough, but I'm not giving the enemy a mission kill either
  18. Yup it is, how do think I figured out how do defeat the SA-10? It's not hard at all. Just create a custom mission, go to where a known location is and rock and roll. Besides, you can visually spot the missile trail (on a good day and that looks like one to me) and do your best to evade it.
  19. Looks like he remembered the position of his aircraft versus the missile's location. Pretty easy to figure out.
  20. Well despite my fears, and some tweaking, it runs quite good. There's a little stutter so far (no aircraft, just me flying around for a "feel" of the terrain). Still prefer Jan Tuma's HFD, but still the terrain is very nice
  21. Low Altitude Training (and mid altitude)
  22. Anti Radiation Missiles

Also if you got enough to do it, fire one, slow down, and if it picks off one, fire another to get the other. I'd use common sense though, if you pick off a Sidenet and a Shilka is there, may not be worth the missile.
