Can I get any of the SU-27 for SF2 E?
EricJ replied to ds75's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Just remember the Su-35 beta really required the most work, since it has a real MFD and better TEWS RWR setup. The original Su-27 should only require a few adjustments to bring it in. -
Some Ground Units parameters questions
EricJ replied to SFP1Ace's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
The other problem is that the M1A1 value was set lower in range compared to the T-72. I found out during a CAS mission in Afghanistan, so I adjusted the values because a T-72's main gun couldn't shoot farther than a 120mm smoothbore. So while the above is true, the 120mm has to be longer ranged than the T-72, etc. -
Okay, I used a Mirage factory weapons pack..

I'll get cracking then Gunny... leave has made me kinda... lazy I guess Anyways sony tuckson is right, read the frakkin readme. Alot of problems and checking the Downloads section, as well as the Knowledge Base (especially that) helps you get settled and with no pain. And compared to most games/simulations, the TW series by far the less problematic of programs, seriously. Most of the screwups are operator error, rather than TW error -

Well actually it's No. 6 Squadron... thanks to Say What?!, but I may just upload it and let the decal gurus tackle it. There's really not much else I want to do with it. -

F/A-18E Super Hornet (New Model) v1.9
EricJ replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
And you don't have a weapons pack iinstelled... whch could be the issue, because I know the readme was kinda specific. It's suggested you download the Community Weapons pack 2.52 in the Downloads section. Then once you get that sorted out, you manually enter the tank data from the "add to weapondata.ini" file to the weapondata.ini from that pack. Further instructions are in the Knowledge Base... which I think is the problem. -

F/A-18E Super Hornet (New Model) v1.9
EricJ replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
They're not used by the Super Hornet. Not to say in real life it couldn't, but the US Navy sticks with the 480 gallon. You can mod the Data.ini to use 300 gallon tanks, but why? -

The Super Hornet really CAN do everything
EricJ replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Military and General Aviation
Agreed, sometimes specialization is better than trying to do everything with one airframe. -
He's also not the only Army NCO on CA either. The fact I mentioned the patches (the sytlized Indian one on their uniforms) should have given you a clue, as well as the 1ID patch as my avatar and on my sig. I don't display them out of civilian love, just some pride that's all. Besides, making cracks against opposing branches can, and will get out of hand, so I'm not trying to spark an all services fight over an ugly fact about Army life. It's there and will continue to be, and most of us know there are biggins in all branches
-
It's not the first one either, saw one on Facebook much worse.... unfortunately with most of the Guard/IRR being called up... it's bound to be seen. And by looking at the patches... definitely Guard/Reserve. I mean there are some biggin's (myself included) but well... not as common, and it's jacked up to think the US Army is all that. Thanks STORM, really appreciate it
