  1. lol USAFMTL, bite me xrearl: I agree, it's coming along good now, course I got a boatload of ref pics...
  2. More weathering and details. Funny thing is, I started to actually have more appreciation for my own work. The Tomcat just doesn't look right clean all the time:
  3. Well the only route I can possibly think of getting an SH in WoE is me biting down and buying a model at TurboSquid. Of course it requires asking for permission, but more than likely, it'd be okay, least I hope. It's quite a penny in .max format, but if there;s somebody who's willing to get it into WoE we can do that project I guess. Any takers? http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/228791
  4. Yes they are, but the artwork via Google can be accessible by F-14D Lions Head artwork, so I just made the title via the artwork, not so much the unit, since this was an old paint scheme.
  5. Try the mirror link, I get the same issues myself...
  6. Hehe true enough, and with the much appreciated help of USAFMTL, I've got some more goodies to play around with to improve the skin, so in a few days I should have a better looking skin
  7. Well unfortunately I was mistaken, USAFMTL said that he thought he had it, but a search among his hard drives came up empty....
  8. Well looks like around the weekend I should have the SH in hand, as USAFMTL's condition isn't too great, but it's on one of a hundred disks and naturally he's got more better things to worry about. Long and short of it, hopefully this weekend I can get it and we go from there.
  9. Speaking of that Typhoid, where is the mapping on your Tomcats for the F-14D fuel tanks? I've been working on a skin (see below) and wondering if each seperate texture is mapped on the tanks. If so where?
  10. Well given some stuff I've seen, it shouldn't be too hard or complicated. Sure the SH is pretty advanced, but alot of high tech planes are limited by the engine. So anyways, I talked with USAFMTL last night about the SH and he's got one lying around somewhere, and hopefully he'll send it to me so I can at least have something. He said it was poorly done, and I brought up the idea on maybe letting the public rework it. Supposedly it's uncomplete or whatever, so when I get it and go through it, I'll post details and we can go from there.
  11. Hey USAFMTL, you doing any OV-10Ds any time soon?
  12. To which I agree, but the thing is man, I'm personally just tired of it (Vietnam in particular), so it colors my opinion quite a bit. I've gotten more spoiled by the contemporary stuff, so I'm more apt to look at that than back then, which of course has alot of history, and in no way discounting, just that it's nice to see more modern stuff.
  13. My honest opinion is that Vietnam is over and done (been that way for... 30+ years?) with, was a blast for those who participated, but I think we gotta move on in life, and with planes. So I agree, I'm for new a/c, regardless of type.
  14. Yeah I saw a 3D model of the FRX-00 Mave at Turbosquid, so if you are doing it, that would be cool :D
  15. I sent him alot of reference pics that should help with the landing gear issue, so he's not short on reference pics by all means, so he should be good to go for the meantime :)
  16. You can use the -E AGM-65, made a little tut that covers the basics: http://562.50megs.com/LOMAC/Tutorials/LGW.zip
  17. It'd be nice for an F-18E/F. Still love the Tomcat but the Super Bug isn't bad looking at all :)
  18. Well you can make your own missions in the Mission Editor, and the F-15 is strictly air-to-air, and cannot use any kind of air-to-ground ordnance. You can use the gun in an A2G role but is very limited.
  19. depends, but 24-32 bit Windows Bitmap (as well as TGA files) can be used. Here's a little tutorial that I did for it: http://562.50megs.com/LOMAC/Tutorials/LST.zip
  20. Rank
