singlemission.dll
EricJ replied to one4five's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Maybe and sorry I couldn't fix it for you, as it could be a bad install (that I think is the culprit in my mind as there's nothing else I can think of) but who knows, might be something simpler. -

I don't know as I tried to replicate what you might of done, didn't work thankfully so you put the mission file right. I don't know what to say man, maybe somebody else can help, short of reinstalling the game and seeing if that will fix it. -

Well I'm at a loss man, it should be working fine. Is this the complete version or separate install? It could be just a bad file. I'll check my install to see if the problem is on mine too. -

If you're not putting it on the system drive (no room?) then that could be causing it as it may be finicky where it's put, though it probably shouldn't matter. -

Yeah looks like you're putting it in the install directory and not the mod folder as the map should show as well as the bases. -

EricJ replied to one4five's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
That's strange as it should show the briefing map. Something isn't working right, where did you put your mission file? C:\Program Files (x86)\Thirdwire or C:\Users\Whatever your name is\Saved Games\Thirdwire\Strike Fighters 2 (or whatever you're using)\Missions. If you did the first one then that's probably why you're getting that problem. If you put it in the second one it should run fine. Try doing that as I think you put it in the install directory and not the mod folder. -

Well something is wrong as it's not showing the briefing map, so that's something obvious that the map is wrong. Is this a downloaded map or the default Vietnam map? -

EricJ replied to porschefan's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Could be the nation that's doing that, check the pylon and the weapon and adjust it accordingly -

Here's another released panoramic image. You can pause the video and pan around by dragging your mouse around, pretty neat:

Maybe you're missing files in your Effects folder? I've seen a few screenies with clouds so that could be the culprit. -

Access All Weapons from any country / military branch / service?
EricJ replied to RaddOx7's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
You will which is why I mentioned it. It'll look odd on some planes that's for sure -

EricJ replied to RaddOx7's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Good luck! Also you will probably have to edit the weight and diameter and length of the weapon for it to fit on various pylons, but that's in the _data.ini as well. -

EricJ replied to RaddOx7's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
You go into the Users/Your Name/saved Games/Thirdwire/strike fighters 2 install and edit the weapons. The base weapons you can't modify (least I don't think) but modded weapons you edit the _data.ini of each weapon for Nationname to whatever you want. Same with other aircraft but it seems kinda weird to do that. -

EricJ replied to RaddOx7's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
You'd have to edit all the weapons with one service nation to accomplish that. -

How do you like your loadouts ?
EricJ replied to Sundowner's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I tend to use preset loadouts for various missions, such as strikes in Afghanistan I use premade loadouts most of the time. Other times I just modify a loadout using the dropdown menus to get what I want. -
Need help with A-10 cannon sound
EricJ replied to JoeHal11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I don't know then as it looks good to me as well if your gun folder looks like that. Unfortunately I don't have an A-10 installed anymore to further help. -

EricJ replied to JoeHal11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Did you put the folder in the Objects/Gun folder? That can be the issue with why it's not making a sound, and probably not doing any damage anyways when you fire. OR if you did put the gun folder in the Objects/Gun folder maybe it's not listing the sound. If so then open the 30MM_GAU8_data.ini file and go to GunFireSound= and put the name of the sound after the = sign, so it should look like this: GunFireSound=GAU8
