Since I don't know much of the lore for the aircraft this is just something I decided to do to get myself familiar with the template that pappychecksix did for the aircraft. The mod has the file structure setup and all you do to install it is follow the structure and you'll be fine. The skin can be found under "Razgriz". Simply select that skin and go fly.   6. More (a little) progress. I had hoped to finish this tonight but the mouse god killed my trackball so I will probably get it out tomorrow or Thursday. It's such an easy skin though as the template is very nice and high res making for some good stuff here.

  9. Learning a new skin is hard sometimes, but the best way to do it sometimes is just to do your own personal skin to figure out what goes where. I can't promise much with the TW F-14 but I got some decals from Dave that may help skin this plane up. Also, a download confirmed that the templates used for this are the ones by pappychecksix, so thanks for the wonderful templates, other than the drop tank, which i squared away as well. Also "deadened" the reflection part of the sun. USN birds aren't flashy and lo-visibility colors work best when the sun does highlight, but not brighten the skin.

  11. The way I understand the pylons is that they're part of the model and can't be detached, unless perhaps it being shot down. And as Nyghtfall suggests making them a bomb or whatnot would only complicate things because you can't jettison the ordnance, or maybe have the ordnance jettisoned with it. I mean you'd have to alter the code to have that feature if I understand it right.
  12. I know, I'm not there yet though, but whoever did do that template did a good job though, if it was you then thanks for it, made skinning easy.
  13. I guess you did it. I don't remember (it's been a long time since I downloaded it) who did it, but maybe you did do it.
  14. No problem man just thought that it would be a start. I don't have that many decals for VF-103 but I have a few for VF-84, so I'll probably look into doing one of the skins, as soon as I figure out the tails and how their mapped and such.
  15. Here's what I created so far, just to satisfy that there is something out there. I would recommend having Swordsman's decals available at the minimum, as this supports that mod. I could look into doing other skins though, but this should get somebody started. ONLY for the TW F-14A. I also don't remember who did the templates (I did the drop tank though, for some reason the person didn't do that). In the dropdown menu for the skiin it's "USN Lo-Visibility" USNGREY13.7z
  16. Here's the basic coloring as I stuck with Swordsman's decals because well, I just started it. The droptanks are WIP (need to do riveting) but after looking at the TMF colors I went with that.
  17. I can't make any promises though, I've started to color them in Lo-Viz so it'll be a bit. Right now it's supporting the mod by Swordsman right now (I just started last night). I got most of the drop tanks done, so we'll see.
  18. Okay. I found some PSDs (no tank but that's easily fixed) so I might do some skins, who knows...?
  19. I think you're better off with a custom-built skin or better off doing your own skins or someone else doing them for you given Swordsman's work
