  1. My Twins Playing Ball

    Nice!
  2. For some reason enemy aircraft are not showing up on my in game map screen, any idea why?
  3. cheers for the sympathy guys I'm pretty gutted but from the ashes I shall rise! lol
  4. Well after a valiant last ditch counter attack my friend has been pushed back into the sea and all is sadly lost. The disk from the hard drive will be going up in a cupboard for the next few years to give the software recovery technology out there some time to (hopefully) advance to the point where we can recover our lost photos etc. As I said before luckily most of our photos are on my wife’s facebook so we just have to save a copy of each one back to the computer etc. Tough lesson in how no matter how careful you think you are being with backing things up the most unexpected thing can happen and ruin it all. I’ve been through my messenger here at combatace and been surprised at how much of my WIP projects I had sent someone a copy of for input etc so I have been able to get a few thinks back I thought were gone for good. For now I’m sticking to just one ‘all in one’ campaign mod to play until I get my mojo back lol KAW here I come!
  5. No...it's not photoshopped

    Thats awesome!!!!!!!!!
  6. I defiantly recommend taking action now! Lol. I think recuva was one he was looking at although there is about two thirds of a terabyte of data on the back up hard drive I want to try and recover.
  7. I used to burn a data dvd at the end of every month and store them at work but I got lazy and stopped a few years ago- kicking myself now! Luckily my wife is very active on face book and has uploaded a lot of our family photos there so not all is lost. On the Strike fighters front those two hard drives were my only copy. The thought of having to re-downloading EVERYTHING is demoralising. I don’t know about you guys but I usually make my own little tweaks to most add on downloads, especially with modern aircraft as I have my own standardised method for calculating reduced radar cross sections. Also in the works was a overhauled RNZAF A-4K Kahu pack with skins for their new owner Drakon International. A ‘what if’ RNZAF F-4E Pack using the new F-4E models. A historic WWII pacific war campaign for RNZAF P-40 Tomahawks. A separate specific install with campaigns that follow the ‘Tomorrow when the war began’ book series/ movie which has China invading Australia with just Australian and New Zealand fighting in defence. That had a ton of new and modified Australian and Kiwi air ground and sea units from 1945 till today. Plus a heap of ‘land lease’ F-16 skins and squadrons for the RNZAF (as per the book series) . On the data recovery front my colleague has tried all of his commercial software and is downloading a few of the better freeware ones to try. He doubts that will work so the next step is to remove the drive itself and put it into his computer. He thinks that is also a long shot so the last ditch effort will be to initialise the hard drive and create a partition. This will make it accessible again but will erase all the data on it so he will then run his best data recovery software to recover as much as possible. However he has warned me this still might not work and some of the data will still probably be lost.
  8. Cheers guys, fingers crossed my mate can restore at least one of them. I thought I was doing the right thing back up wise but I never imagined both external hard drives going corrupted simultaneously. In the future the DVD back up on top of the two external hard drives will be the way to go! My wife is seriously unhappy with me, computers and backing up all our photos are ment to be my department
  9. Rudolf was an A-4B (BuNo 145002) that had an F-8 air-to-air radar "borrowed" from the China Lake Weapons Center and installed by NARF Alameda. The unique, longer nose (modified from a F-11 Tiger) was painted red and the name followed soon after. The aircraft was officially designated YA-4B. What was intended as the prototype for future VSF fighters had not been approved by higher authority. Nor was taking Rudolf on the CarQual sessions the pilots of VSF-1 had on Kearsarge and Hornet. VSF-1 commanding officer CDR Charles E. Waring himself flew Rudolf's first trap. Six pilots and the maintenance crew of the first detachment were ready to go aboard Yorktown when the deployment was cancelled in the spring of 1966.
  10. Yea but my bomb sight cross hairs are not inside the scope, do I need to be at a certain height and speed to use it correctly etc?
  11. Thanks mate, is there a guide to using the bombsight around?
  12. Upgraded Arrow CF-105

It would make a very cool 'what if'
  13. Nice work! These guys (RAAF) had a great combat record with the Canberra in Vietnam
  14. What were the changes you had to make to get it to work all the time?
  15. Topic over at the Aircraft Recourse Center forums that would make a cool skin for an F-4: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=280779&st=0
  16. Can you imagine!?!? DATE:08/12/99 SOURCE:Flight International Clinton and Sukhoi in RNZAF F-16 debate US President Bill Clinton has moved to shore up a lease deal for 28 Lockheed Martin F-16s by New Zealand, following the announcement of a review of the deal by New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark. Clark says Clinton raised the lease's future during a telephone conference on 3 December. Clinton told Clark the lease would be a key agenda item, following the appointment of a new US Ambassador to New Zealand this month. The announcement of the review has seen moves by Sukhoi to undercut the deal, with company representatives in Australia revealing that an alternative proposal was placed before the New Zealand Labour Party before the 27 November elections. Sukhoi says the offer is a 10-year lease of Su-30s, targeting and navigation equipment, new precision-guided munitions and support equipment at a cost equivalent to the NZ$124.8 million ($63.8 million) lease component of the F-16 deal. Other F-16-related expense includes a NZ$362.8 million ($182.7 million) aircraft reactivation package. NZ$42 million was allocated by the previous National Party Administration for new navigation and targeting pods, and precision-guided munitions for training purposes.
  17. Just finished re-marking this 1/72 diecast Su-30 model with RNZAF Markings:
  18. I made a modified version of the SF2 Falklands mod which had the Royal Ark and her Phantom/ Bucc air wing in the campaign in place of the Invincible and her Harriers. To make it as realistic as I could the Royal Navy Phantoms and Buccs had the exact same capability/ weapons as the RAF versions did in 1982 (TMF F-4K_80). JonathanRL is right it was an absolute massacre to say the least!!!
