  1. You guys are right the list could go on forever. I should've done catagories...so much for my first informal poll. And on a side note I had the privelledge of seeing the B-1 B upclose...it was a lot bigger than I thougt.
  2. I'm sticking with the F-14 she's all time favorate(even though the US navy got rid of her..
  3. Do think they should make a Top Gun Video Game for today? Maybe they could have the tutorials of the game take place at the academy and the actual campaign take place near the indian ocean. Players could do fighter bomber missions and since the F-14(the sexiest plane ever) is the only cratt in the game then cockpit, and skin details should be off the charts good! I mean everything should be working ILS CCIP gears flaps hook etc etc. Thoughts?
  4. True. You should look at my old english teacher. The person below me wishes there were a B-2 mod for WOE
  5. So, since all of you are really awesome, I want to let you guys know about a sim I wish I could make. Okay here goes. The flight sim can be land or carrier based( I like carriers so Carrier based for me) now your base has additional features such as a lounge where you can hang out with other pilots in the squadron and play pool, an old school arcade, or a pinball game . You can explore the carrier or base or watch some flight ops. If you're on a land base you can drive around a bit.(maybe too much on that one). But this is what I really and have always wanted in a flight sim. When you eject from the craft you can play a little mini side game where you have to blast your way to the rescue point.(unless you're in freindly territory you just run) What do you think? Do think they could do a little more to flight sims nowadays?
  6. Cool. Thanks!
  7. I only know of two unfortunately like Star Lancer Free Lancer(which wasn't all that to mee...it would've been cool if you had a choice in what you said to people like Fallout) and Decent Freespace. The one thing found frustrating(at first) in Star Lancer was the fact that the enemy continously just did a barrel roll manuever while going to the left or right. I liked my "gravity based" sims where one can easily anticipate where the bogie is going. Free Lancer was more a movie for me than a game and didnt have crap do with the Star Lancer. Anyway...what about you do you play space combat sims when you find a good one? Or are space combat sims one those things where if you played one then you played them all? And the by the way I'm also looking for a really sweet combat flight sim that deals with carrier base operations. Jet fighter three was the last carrier based sim that I played where I had an ILS. I'm looking for an easy to play(not too easy) but at the same time I don't want a to play a sim where if I play it long enough I can fly the real thing blind folded(i.e Flanker 2.5 I loved the game...I really did I just didn't have time to learn everysingle system and so and so forth so I really couldnt enjoy it like I wanted. I loved the fact at how much stuff you could do...such as ATA refueling...)
  8. Didn't Jane do the Longbow too? As well as the attack Squadron?
  9. Chuck Yegar was the first flight combat flight sim I've ever played. I loved the challenge questions it asked prior to the program running. I know the graphics aren't all that but at the time they were awesome. I was much younger then so I thought the aspect that I could interact with things like the radar and engines was cool...however I could never get that darn P-51 off the ground and when I did I'd crash in like five seconds because I stalled out(I think I was like nine or something and didnt understand the principles or drag and flaps and all that) It was a great game too. But my favoriate and to this day I can' t remember the name but it was an arcade machine that I only saw in one place my entire life(celebration station in Memphis) it was an attack helicopter simulation. You got to sit in the cockpit operate the pedals, the flight stick, and the...collective, collecter? (the freakin thing that helps the chopper go up and down as well and control speed) go got to use all of that...sad thing is though it that you had a third person view of the chopper you were flying(my memory is really hazy on that part) nevertheless that was the BEST flight sim I EVER played. When you got hit the seat would shake and pop.
  10. True...it would be nice if they paid the money back some kind of way.
  11. If I knew what I were doing I would be honored to create one. I've searched the sight and haven't found it yet. I may not be looking hard enough however I will re-double my efforts later on. My virtual airforce won't be complete without one you know.
  12. Okay. Here's my plan for this economy. When the government takes taxpayer's dollars to bail a company out...the taxpayers should get stock in that company. Its only fair. The company gets bailed out and we get some stock to boot!( a little extra cash to buy more games )
  13. How come one government agency can't give the clearance? I mean come on its a used decomissioned plane. I can understand the FAA wanting to know about its location so other pilots wont think its a downed plane...that makes a little sense. I hope the wings don't fly off during a wind storm.
  14. Blow the candle out in the outdoors....that alarm is one sensative piece of equipment. I'm glad we have it. In case of real fire we'll probably have enough time to get the heck out...hell the Fire Dept. Might be waking us up too. They got there quick.
  15. one packet of salted peanuts for me please

  17. I have this alarm service APX. Very good service. I'm cooking spaghetti; I strain the noodles and low and behold one gets left behind in the pan and burns. Well I figure no biggie the vent fans are running. Well I hear this fire alarm that APX installed(it automatically calls the Fire Dept.) sound off. the alarm keypad declares that the smoke alarm has been triggered. I rush to and put the abort code in.(its only a three yard dash and I did so within seconds of the alarm being sounded.) So I call my buddy a few minutes after this happens and guess what I hear...you guessed it. Firetrucks(two engines and the chief to be exact). The cheif arrives and I motion to cancel(by mimicaing cutting my throat) the chief, a fairly large man, steps out of his red dodge truck with a big smile on his face. he asks "Is everything all right?" By the this point my heart is ready to explode out of my chest and I reply "yeah everything is okay, sir...I'm about to s**t myself-but everthing is okay" I told him I was cooking a little noddle gets burned...the steam is thicker than the smoke THICKER than the smoke AND not only that the other smoke alarm that you buy at any Wal-Mart or hardware store DID NOT GO OFF. I explained that to the chief as well. Then I did only thing I could do and I ask "do you any of boys want some tea?" He declines with a smile on his face and I appologize and tell him how dreadfully sorry I am. I have a lot of respect for them and I thought APX cancelled everything. The cheif says he prefers these calls at least they can go back to the station. He aslo mentions that I know the system works. We shake hands and part ways. Lesson learned: one be extra extra extra carefull when cooking. Two don't lite a candle in the house EVER. no smoking in the house(for those that like to smoke because I don't smoke) and there are plenty of resturaunts in my area....might be using those for quite a while.

    Top Gun 2

Nicely said Coot I like the idea of Iceman's kid training under MAV; however, I think I like the idea of Goose's son returning to fill in fathers footsteps even better. Jesture and Viper hanging out in a bar getting picked on by the young hot shots is really awesome too!
