  1. I'll check in with you this afternoon. Beard
  2. You can't judge the Viet Nam experience by those movies. Vastly dramatized by our friends in Hollywood. Beard
  3. Did anyone other than me notice it is awfully cold in DC now? Beard
  4. The way the skins are arranged for First Eagles is quite nice. A folder for the major type of Aircraft (Spad, Fokker, etc..) and then a catchall folder for less prolific types, one for Allies, one for Hun. That seems to be quite workable, admittedly it would be nice to see a folder for each model, Fokker E3, Fokker EV, Fokker DR1, etc, but that in itself seems a little much to ask Beard
  5. The alternate to warp is Control+Shift+A which was mentioned above. This is very handy when used with the time acceleration which is Control+Shift+E which will speed you out to 2x/4x/ and 8x. To slow down use Control+Shift+R or to leave you use Control X (like exiting warp. I use this if I have used all my ammunition and am not the flight leader. I point the plane towards home, set auto level and speed home. It will kick out automatically when enemy is present. However, it will not stop for waypoints or home base. Beard
  6. I'm glad to see it back up also, I have tried to access it in the recent past and have been unable to see it. Beard
  7. I think which side you fly on may be up to the guy putting the game up. We just finished a German side campaign on Sundays with Vasco's Volunteers. There we are just working through the sides. We are currently flying early British (DH2's and Strutters). The first was American (Spad XIII) then German (1917), now early British. These are multi-week affairs but you can jump in any time, you dont have to be in at the beginning to fly, after all, some people actually do have personal lives. The current Vasco campaign has no exterior views but you can use the tack, instruments (basically because the compass is really screwed up in the DH2) and labels (because it is very difficult to form up if you cant identify your flight leader). You also have complex fuel mixture management (know big deal to work with really) and weapons are set to strong. Beard
  8. I do too, but it would be a quick way to identify the plane. Beard
  9. That was a really fun mission Beard
  10. If you are going to all the trouble of taking the screen shot, why dont just hit pause (if you aren't already to "compose" the shot) and turn on the labels and see where the plane is from? Beard
  11. Actually that is 1pm your time guys. Beard
  12. I haven't noticed any improvements, just about the same, but OFF is about the onliest game I play, and I don't have any newer games loaded. It has no effect on graphics programs at all. Beard
  13. I loaded them a couple of days ago with no adverse results. Beard
  14. You can drag that blue copy off the screen if you don't like it. It comes up in the F5 view that allows you to see the instruments, and like the instruments you can drag it to anywhere you want on the screen. I like the inflight compass, I place it behind the tack, but like you I dont like the blue lines of information so I just drag it off the lower right corner of the screen and it is completely invisible but it is still there to be drug back if you need to check something like the fuel level. Beard
  15. My wingmen in this game have yet to by me a scotch or stogie after I save their sorry AI arses. So I figure if I can make it home alive, they can fend for themselves. Beard
  16. I found it very depressing, and there seemed to be a sound problem on the version I have. I found it to be pretty historically inaccurate on things that could have been easily fixed (Hawker flying and SE5 being a little portly and having a beard?). The flying scenes were good, and the 3D modeling was also quite good. Beard
  17. Thats kinda like my wife saying she wanted to paint the kitchen "peach". Beard
  18. Thats the Sign Painter coming out in you Olham. Sign painters like REAL colors. Actually I'm very fond of orange myself and use it whenever possible. Blue is just obvious, lol. Beard

  20. Widowmaker, I redid the template some, so now it should be pretty easy. And to those that initially downloaded it there was a mistake on the in-cockpit view on the windscreen, I have uploaded a corrected version now. Beard
