  1. Alright, I'm up for that. I'll build it for you for free. However, the parts will be on wholesale. I'll even get you free shipping. Just don't mind the fact that there are two of everything on you parts list...
  2. I still like that idea /\ /\ /\ /\
  3. Actually, navy, there's a few things you could do. First, you could simply go into FS2004 and scale down the graphics. I've got some things that might help you get better settings. Second, you could buy a new graphics card. As Buff said, the regular 9600 is about on par with the 4200. If you wanted to upgrade, again as buff said, go for the 9600XT, or even the 9800 Pro. Third, you could replace your CPU, but that probably wouldn't help you as much as a new graphics card. also, you'd have to make sure you upgrade with the same socket type, unless you wanted to replace your motherboard as well. Lastly, you could contact me, I'd build you a new kick a** computer, sell it to you on wholesale, and have you send me your old one as payment :D
  4. How much are you willing to spend chief? $96 - ATI Radeon 9600 w/ 128Mb $128 - ATI Radeon 9600 Pro w/ 128Mb $153 - ATI Radeon 9600XT w/ 128Mb $167 - ATI Radeon 9600XT w/ 256Mb $204 - ATI Radeon 9800 Pro w/ 128Mb $275 - ATI Radeon 9800 Pro w/ 256Mb $408 - ATI Radeon 9800XT w/ 256Mb $445 - ATI Radeon X800 Pro w/ 256Mb I don't know as much about Nvidia (as I've become an ATI fan) but: $124 - Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 w/ 128Mb $135 - Nvidia GeForce FX 5700 w/ 128Mb $145 - Nvidia GeForce FX 5700 w/ 256Mb $190 - Nvidia GeForce FX 5900XT w/ 128Mb $397 - Nvidia GeForce FX 5950 w/ 256Mb I would go with ATI, they seem to be faster, render better graphics, and are somewhat cheaper than their Nvidia couterparts. I beleive all of these are good cards, it just depends on how much you're willing to spend. PS You wouldn't happen to want to send me your card would you? free of charge perhaps? :D
  5. No problem. That sounds like a complicated procedure though, lol. I still say you should trash ME though. ;)
  6. Ahh, found it. It should be noted that one certain "BioChat" is located in the forum, not on the main page, lol.
  7. like I said, we don't have much planned yet. I'm not even sure thats the F-15 we'll be using, I just assumed However, I will most likely be flying the 747, I like that kinda stuff. But no date it set, nor a flight plan, though I will try to make one up next chance I get.
  8. Well, it does seem that the season is here. There were as many as 12 tonados last night. Several homes were destroyed. I llike the quote from the guy on the weather channel - "A storm chasers dream, a homeowners nightmare."
  9. A buddy of mine and I are planning on doing a mock Air Force One escort. We don't really have too much planned at the moment, but we're looking for a few more escorts. You'll need the "JASDF F-15J Eagle V/C Model" and the OpenSky Air Force One, both from avsim.com. You can find the AF1 plane by going to the file library and searching for "Open Sky Boeing 747". It's towards the bottom. Anyone interested?
  10. Awesome, thanks for the link CB!
  11. That's kind of scary, you and I had the same idea, lol. I still havn't seen one in RL, but then again, that's probably a good thing... Nice pictures for both of ya.
  12. I beleive I did the usual install, but I have several textures missing on my plane. I'll look at it again when I get home...
  13. Yes, you can pan the VC. The advantage is having a completely 3d panel at your disposal, instead of being limited to a 2d picture. you pan by using your number pad (num lock off), your joystick hat switch, or TrakIR. I think it would be best with TrackIR. There used to be a thread that showed a nice F-16 VC with trackir, but I think it fell off the bottom of the board.

  15. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's already been posted :) Fun game though.
  16. Top Gun, I've been talking with MJ about the download section, and I have the feeling (like LOMAC, no garuntees :D) that I'll soon be able to work on doing just that, putting up some "must haves" for all Biohaz pilots.
  17. Well, I got in, now nobody is there :(
  18. Yeah, I see that, but my computer and FSHost aren't getting along.
  19. I can't get on :( FSHost won't work.
  20. Ahh, someone finally sees the logic in my several attempts thusfar... :D
  21. Yeah, that was the first full one I saw, that was what really got my attention. Very cool B) And yes, growler, there's always the lack of personal experience. But then again, you can only go so far with a computer. Though I think it would be better if they ran the test like 5 times instead of just once, to see if there are any different outcomes. It's still cool to watch the stainless steel claws rip through the deer though :D
  22. I'm just curious, has anyone else seen Animal Face-off on the Dicovery Channel? I've been volunteering at zoo for the better part of 8 years, so I'm interested in animals quite a bit. On the show, a team of mechanics, animal experts, etc get together and build mechanical animals (for example, todays show was Tiger vs. Lion), get as much info on them as they can, and then download all the data into a computer. Then the put to two virtual animals in a fight to see which would win. The teams do a very nice job of getting data and compiling it, which makes for a very realistic looking fight between the animals. Has anyone else seen it?

  24. Do you have a firewall running? if so, make sure you open up the correct ports for TS. Saturday at 9 est... I'll be late, but I'll try to get on later that night.
