Spectre, just re-read my above post. Didn't come out the way I intended. Perhaps when you were involved retards weren't in wide use with the A-10. I appears that current tactics may be different than what they used to be. Didn't mean to come off sounding like a tool.

I had picked up on some of the other chatter. After a bomb run there was a call of " 6 at 2". Can someone tell me what distance scale is used? 6 is the distance if I remember right, and 2 is reference the clock position from center. Been a LONG time since this was explained to me. I was working a range tower for a demonstration JAAT mission (the so called Million Dollar Minute). Boy that was around 1985, whew! What was some of the rest of the scoring chatter? I know the strafing score call was much different than the ones for the bombs.

Spectre, I'm not saying you are wrong. I'm an Air Traffic Controller not a Payload Specialist. However, Dice replied on an 'A-10 Wish' thread over at frugals: http://forums.frugalsworld.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=57116 It's about half way down. Basically he said that someone was looking into the chute retarded bombs and they were used on A-10's. Just a little more variety in munitions is the small quest I am on. AirBiskit, I'll have to look, but I don't think GPS munitions were in wide use in the games time frame. Yeah, they would offer more flexibility in ones mission planning, however I don't think that they would fit in. I am not an authority it is just an opinion. Now if an add-on product (for arguements sake) was produced: Bering Strait terrain pack, F-18, new munitions available (including retards). It could all be one package and more of us would be happier than we are now. Next Xmas, PLEASE!!!

BUMP. Just curious if anyone has flown in this general area. The Fremont/Airburst MOA, R2601, BKF, COS, or even the Air Force Academy football game fly-overs.

It may be semantics and I'm not trying to bust your chops, but I believe "Unwedge" would have been more appropriate. (jabs thigh with pin, AGAIN) I almost wet myself the first couple of times I read the original......

I was just wondering if they are considering Weapon add-ons. In particular, for instance, "Snakeyes". Having 'High Drag' munitions are advantageous when down low to avoid fragging ones self. Perhaps if someone over at ED could consider this in a patch format. Possibly rolled up in a purchasable Aircraft add-on, or whatever. I would like to think that I am not the only one playing this game that would like a little more variety in munition choices...........anyone? Beuller? BTW, this is reference to my flying the A-10, although it could apply to any airframe.

That in my Airspace!!! The RED I flight as they are tagged up on ATC radar depart BKF enroute to R2601 (where I work) and return to BKF. BKF is the Location Identifier for Buckley ANG base in the Denver area. Airburst is the callsign for the aerial gunnery range in R2601. The range tower there works the range clearing in aircraft to make their runs. Pretty kewl. The traffic call on their way home to BKF is pretty typical. Gliders, powered gliders, C172's, and also DV20's (now) all buzz around the USAF Acedemy at various altitudes. Hey MJ or MrMudd, every fly out here?

It's always a good idea to check if you have the latest codec from DivX. I think it's up to 5 now. Also check your Media Player, it should be version 9.

Thanx MJ, appreciate it. I had a problem with a lock up at the main menu. Found a thread on the Ubi forum, and had to allow access to the internet with my Zone Alarm. Did a complete uninstall/re-install then patch install. No noticable difference, although some of the sounds have been changed.

Bump and also, how does it work (or not) with the patch?

Hey MJ, any possibility of having you or one of your staff review this thing. It looks very interesting, and for me the jury is still out. I haven't been able to find very much in the way of feedback. Perhaps a tag-along for the weapons/load out manager that's out there as well. All assuming it works with the impending patch of course. Thanks in advance.

Federal Law prohibits the sale of Handguns to those under 21. I am not sure if that also applies to Handgun ammo, or if it is a State or Local statute. Long Guns (Rifles and Shotguns) are prohibited by the same law to be sold to anyone under 18. Remember, 18 for long guns, 21 for handguns. States have the authority to make these tougher, but not weaker. For instance, Pueblo County Colorado prohibits the sale of handguns to anyone under 25. Just so you know, Texas or any of the other 49 states will not sell you a handgun under 21. The range policies may/will probably reflect this in their ammo purchase practices.

I'd really like to sea the "Peanut" skin. The experimental desert that was done up, then undone just before deployment to Gulf War 1.
