  1. Yep, I added the AGRS (with the propoer nation #) to the Nations file. I didn't add the USNA one, though (I'll check again) I'm pretty sure I checked the plane weapon attachments and they only had AGRS listed. Meanwhile, my work-around has been to reassign the nation affiliation of the (formerly AGRS) aircraft to "Soviet". Hmmm...
  2. Right, I too have tried their mega pack and found a lot of modifications. Basically, for sound, I went through some of the planes and looked for the engine sound and compared it to what I have in the sounds folder, and then typed a name of a sound I wanted into the field for engine sound in the aircraft data file. Cheers.
  3. For the F-16N/F-14 AGRS (Aggressor) is there a way to give (e.g., IR/SAHM) weapons when flown by AI as enemy? (I’m not talking about the player flying the AGRS plane because one can set another plane, then in the loadout, switch to the AGRS and choose some ordnance). I can’t seem to set them in the Nation file either as the Weapon editor doesn’t have the option for AGRS and fails to compile a weapon.dat file that includes AGRS as a Nation. Is there any other way to give the AGRS planes some missiles (other than setting them to Soviet/WarPac instead of AGRS) so they would be more of a challenge in ‘red flag’ missions? Thanks in advance for any thoughts/suggestions!
  4. Does anybody know if the various targeting pods (e.g., pave tack, LANTIRN type pods) available in the latest/more recent weapons updates do anything for the game itself? Carrying these pods in the game seems to take up pylon space, adding to realism certainly, but can they actually be used in the game itself? Thanks for any thoughts/suggestions.
  5. Thanks for your replies. I gather that right now, the electronics don't really work, but are there for "authenticity"? ;) I still like the aircraft. Thanks for the post Crab_02 =)
  6. First, I apologize if this is a double post. I thought I posted it previously this morning, but on coming back, it seems to not have been posted. I wonder how much use the elctronics in the EF-4C model for SFP is useful in the game itself? Can these electronics (other than ECM and chaff/flares) be actually utilized in SFP? For example, do the targeting pods really work? If so, I wonder how? Because if they aren't useful in the game (I know they were essential in real life!), then those pylons could be used to hold more weapons. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the matter!
  7. On the EF-4C – is there any difference in the game with all those electronic pods on pylons? I understand that in the real EF-4C, electronics and avionics were crucial to SEAD missions, but in the game, does selecting all those electronic pods do something (when those pods could be used more weapons)? Thanks for any thoughts on it!
  8. Thanks! Where do you get these awesome pictures???
  9. Thanks for your thoughts! The other thing is moving the ground objects over to SP4. Since SP4 no longer requires the groundobjectlist, I wonder if I should just move over the object folders themselves (but then in SP3, these are scattered between folders and I think LOD files outside the folder?)? Oh well...I'm still trying to remember that this is fun and that I shouldn't get all worked up! =) Oops, posted that before seeing the groundobject knowledge base http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=11815 (thank you so much for having a knowledge base!!) Still, that means going through a bunch of ground objects...! =) Hope this discussion thread proves useful to others.
  10. Whew...I just downloaded the SP4 patches, read the instructions about installing to a new clean install, read some of the posts here, read some of the knowledge base documents......is anyone else feeling the "burden" of having to re-install all those cool modifications you've made to SP3 all over again?!!? I wish there were easier ways to reinstall all thoes planes, ground objects, missions, environment mods etc. to SP4....sometimes I feel as if I spend more time patching than I do flying and enjoying SFP1 =)
