Dear fellow simmers, Just an idea, but do you think it’s possible/a good idea to build a snowspeeder battle with AT-AT/AT-STs on Hoth? It seems possible, I would imagine given that the snowspeeders would be plane-like objects, the Walkers, rebel troops, and ion cannons would be tank-like objects, and Hoth would be a terrain. The only thing is simulating laser bolts and a harpoon gun. Just an idea that I thought I’d share…

I installed the Russian demo and in place of text, I see a lot of "??????" type lines, so I'm having difficulty figuring out the keys and controls. I was wondering if you might perhaps post a screenshot or two of the keys, or perhaps just list the keys and controls here? Would that be possible?

I'm new to modding terrains and am interested in giving it a (small) shot. Is there a way to adding buildings to specific tiles in a "random" sort of way, meaning that I don't have to physically place each and every building when making a city? Thanks in advance for any advice and pointers to any tutorials as such.

I hope I'm not out of line if I place a request here for a *high resolution* Thunderbirds skin for the new F-16 models? Also, I don't know the designation, but the very first experimental model of the F-16 (XF-16?) had a red, white and blue skin (see attached image) - can't seem to locate this anywhere in the downloads here. Thanks :yes:

I haven't tried it, but wouldn't this just involve renaming the folder AND the aircraft.ini filename to something like F-15C_Soviet?

I read the documentation and it says “Over Flanders Fields Phase2 will automatically detect a Phase1 installation and backup appropriate folders into \Microsoft Games\Backup”. Does anyone know: 1.does this mean that Phase 2 will overwrite the Phase 1 folder? In other words, can I have both a Phase 1 and Phase 2 folder (in case something goes wrong with Phase 2)? (Is this even a good idea?) 2. Does this mean Phase 2 already contains the content and updates of Phase 1? Thanks…

And you've certianly got a winner Zur!!! Glad to know from this forum that I'm not the only one experiencing the talon catching fire. Perhaps some short guideline as to what works best (or what not to do) with the talon is in order?

This is actually added to the soundlist, so if you got what you got, it's because you probably installed it to another folder other than your main sim folder. You can simply take the above and add it to the soundlist folder. What I question is why one of the entries is blank? i.e., []. Is that allowable?

Do the same nation names in Nations.ini apply to the ground objects as well? So, for example, if I want a ground object to be controlled by AI US forces, would I change/make sure that the ground object is USMC? Thanks...learning this mission building thing...

after changing [Debug] DisplayDebug=FALSE Is there a free standing camera with which to move? (I don't mean the camera that moves around a plane) Wouldn't the above change that gives coordinates assume a free camera to move and so to check coordinates, which can then be entered in the mission editor? Those are the general steps to take right? I see all these neat missions that have planes and other objects placed so neatly in airbases... -

Ahh..that would be a trick I didn't know of previously. If a whole lot of "tricks" like these get posted here, maybe we can compile them for the FAQ section As to the neat place: I was flying a fighter sweep that is randomly generated under single mission, so unfortunately, I have no way to save that (or do I? Is there another trick?). I hit external view and saw this really neat canyon in the modern korea terrain. I thought it was neat because I would like to come back to it and try flying a fast jet through that canyon...wouldn't you? -
Yep - that's the version I'm trying. Try it too - push the afterburners to full and see how long/what speeds it flames up. I wonder if there's a pattern...haven't tested it enough to tell, which is why I'm wondering if there's some kind of guideline? Wonder if it's part of the sim's engine?

First off, many thanks to zurtech/zurawski for the excellent plane!!! I tried flying the latest version and wonder if there's a guideline as to how fast or at least for how long one can set after burners without causing the plane engines to catch fire? Thanks
