  1. Just sending a big shout out to all you champs from Oz and and to thank you all for all the hard work and effort you all put into the SFP community for moochers like me and to ask, if you Northern Hemi folks could send us some of that cool weather, it'd be much appreciated and it's gonna be bloody hot soon! (and I hate hockey training when it's 42 celsius outside!) Hope you all pig out with your killer Xmas dinners and resist the urge to have a nanna nap afterwards
  2. You're a beuatiful man Dave! No, seriously! Your in my hall of champs with the likes of Mark Messier and the guy who invented hip hop filmclips with booty girls! I'm not gonna be able to wipe this for at least a week...
  3. I've been hanging out for one of these! Awesome!
  4. Running XP too but i've got compatability issues. Maybe need to redo windows. Been a bit twitchy of late. Same reason why LOMAC runs like a dog. Used to run like a dream, back in the day...
  5. Damn... That looks good. Really good... I didn't think there was any in dev. Damn...
  6. I like the B-52 version of that joke where he says something along the lines of "I just shut down six engines"
  7. Mitsubishi F-2B skin View File This is a makeshift Mitsubishi F-2B skin I made a while ago for the Block 10 F-16B as a placeholder while I was making a propper F-2B. 9. Wish I could still get Gunship! to run on my system... Just won't run at all...
  10. So cred goes to you, Wpssgt and Tiwaz then? Cheers Mr Dave sir, you're a champ!
  11. Yeah, i'm positive I adapted it from the Euro-green cammo from this model: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=667
  12. I've been working on an F-2 skin for the F-16 but it's taking some time, you know, christmas, raves, work etc. But a while ago I made a makeshift Mitsubishi F-2B: Only problem is that I think I made it from a skin from Madjeff's F-16B. But I can't get in contact with him. So I'm guessing I can't release this but I just wanted to know what my options are about releasing this...
  13. Not that you're plugging for the SFP community Fates is right though, you can't miss with WOE or Strike Fighters (although WoV didn't sit very well with me for some reason). I"ve been a big fan of the Ace Combat series too, ever since playing the arcade version, CAP-22, way back in about 94 maybe? I'd personally say go with the SF project as it's almost infinitely plyable and you can tune it to the more arcade style or sim it up, depending on which end of the sim spectrum you find yourself. Plus, most importantly, I think the SF project sims (SFG, WoV, WoE) are the only ones outside of the Ace Combat style games that have a flyable F-23 blackwidow! How can you go wrong? Also, despite being a bit old and Helicopter sims, Enemy Engaged Apache Vs Havoc and EE Comanche Vs Hokum aren't bad too.
  14. The luxury Liner and sleeper concepts are pretty popular in the asia-pacific region and there's been a lot of press about Qantas and Singapore airliners operating several units for that specific purpose. But with the delays with the freighter entering service, I think that popularity is going to cool. But then again maybe not all that much as Boeing still has a reputation for its hand over fist style of marketing and revenue generation...
  15. And they'll still find a way to be tightasses and make you sit in those bloody uncomfotable seats...
  16. Only reason is that I've butchered on of his skins and was trying to get his ok to release it... I was in the process of making an F-2 skin when basically found myself with a tonne of real life stuff to take care of so I thought people might want to use this as an aggressor or something. I'm still polishing it so it won't quite look like this if I release it...
  17. Does anyone know if Madjeff is still contributing to this site? I've tried to contact him but he hasn't been around for a short while an email I sent him bounced. Could someone kindly help me out?
  18. ...or "what pylon?" If you want your plane's lines to be clean.
  19. Hehe, there's always one guy who has to be shown "...why we don't do that on the flight deck."
  20. Oops, this can be deleted. I made a mistake, sorry. :slow(en):
  21. I would have said the problem might lie in the weapon loadouts.ini for the fighters you're using, are they listed as AA-8, AA-11 etc or are they listed as R-60, R-73 etc? But if absolutely nothing is showing up, could be you might need a fresh install and complete patching before you continue...
  22. The files from modder's/mod team sites that can be found here are identical to the ones found on their respective pages. I had the same problem with a certain Soviet Mi-24 too. I'd run the game, load out my Hind and start but in my case it would crash to desktop. I'm pretty sure that that particular model was faulty, and I'm assuming it's been removed because I can't seem to find it here anymore (I can't remember whose model it was). I've been using Capun's nice East German Hind and haven't been having any problems at all. It could be something as simple as a bad download. Are you doing anything to it (ie adding skins etc) to the model you're using or are you trying to use it straight from download?
  23. Yeah, Redddevil's right. Basically, when you unzip a new aircraft for any of he SFP sims, just double check that the folder layout doesn't resemble something like this: WingsOverEurope\Objects\Aircraft\S-3Viking\S-3Viking This won't work and in game you won't see the model. Normally when someone uploads a model here they'll usually place everything in a zip folder with the same name of the aircraft. Just make sure when you cut and paste the model that it's the main model folder not \S-3Viking\S-3Viking. As for the helicopters, there's a thrust vectoring control in the controls menu. You'll need to be able to use thrust vectoring to be able to control choppers in this sim, same with the Harriers. It can be a little tricky at first, but once you get a feel for it, it'll be gold.
  24. Effing A! Cap's been a champ! The SFP community owes a hell of a lot to him for his (and his teams') hard work. Still, I hope he's not buying into this crap. Just sucks to see he's copping criticism (as well as other people) from people pissing and moaning who should know better!
